Our family moved to Whitehouse a few years ago and have been lucky enough to find HunterdonHills as our vet. We are dog and cat lovers and like most people develop personal bonds with our pets. Our prior German Shepherd Bear, a long hair, was an unbelievable dog who exceeded all expectations in terms of the combination of love for our family and being protective of all of the family members. He was very smart and truly was a member of the family. When he was stricken by cancer it became clear that he had to be put down as he was suffering to the point where we had trouble walking and would not eat. Dr. Chet and his staff were fantastic in dealing with the terrible diagnosis and then on the afternoon he had to be put down kept his staff after hours to wait for my daughter Barbara to say her goodbye to Bear before he was euthanized, There we were in one of the worst times of our lives and they had so much compassion that they all waited for my daughter to drive up from her job in Perth Amboy through traffic on Rt. 287 to let her be with him one last time. To say the least this vet group is extraordinary. Since that time they have put up a wonderful new building giving them one of the best facilities in New Jersey. If you want an exceptional vet for your exceptional pet this is the place.

I would highly recommend Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital to anyone who wants quality care with state of the art equipment. Dr. Westfield is absolutely caring about his business and compassionate about every animal. He makes us feel right at home every time we come. He is meant to be a veterinarian! He gives you complete information and takes his time to explain everything and even will gave me a tour of the building. I NEVER feel rushed and never feel neglected when I take my dogs there. The technician, Cory, is super pleasant! She LOVES my dogs and is very affectionate with them. They dont "overcharge" you at this office either (which is one of the reasons I left my previous vets office). Ironically, a Vet Tech from the office I left told me about Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital and I am so thankful for that. The prices are fair especially when you know they have the newest, most up to date equipment and very knowledgeable doctors with many, many years of experience. So, if you want kind, caring, compassionate and knowledgeable people to care for your pet, you need to take them to Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital.

Joanne and I love our now 17 year-old Singapuran "Zing" - the most affectionate feline one could ever imagine and, of course, our constant companion. We also love Doctor Westfield, who has several times taken care of Zing when he developed eye infections and a couple of (thankfully benign) cysts. Zing of course has no love of being taken to the veterinarian - but melts in Dr. Westfields arms when the good doctor picks him up, strokes him, and talks soothingly to him. The level of care has always been superb, with excellent follow-up including blood tests as required - and proactive sending of reminders for vaccinations, shots, and the like. His staff has always been good to us: responsive, caring, a pleasure to deal with. And his new facilities are outstanding - spacious, immaculate, and with beautifully outfitted and maintained examination and operating rooms. Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital feels like family after nearly 20 years living in this area. Their new facility is spectacular, combining the most modern and sophisticated building and equipment with traditional rural architecture that fits so well with our setting. The outstanding veterinarians and their assistants have been with us through many life events with our beloved feline companions - including complicated surgeries and life and death decisions. We have always felt totally secure in their care. More recently their dedicated feline boarding facility has become a second home for our two cats. We love this hospital and cant imagine being without it.

We recently moved our pooch to Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital, under the care of Dr. Westfield. This location is gorgeous! Our dog, Rooster, felt right at home with Dr. Westfield and his staff. They were very caring, kind, and knowledgeable. They were able to quickly care for our dog, and recommend great preventative care methods for her. We were unbelievably happy with this office, and plan to make this Roosters vet office for any future needs of ours or hers. Dr. Westfield was even nice enough to give me a tour of the location and explain the history of the building ---you can tell he really cares about the business, and about the pets.

Very modern facility. Lots of space in the waiting room for dogs, cats or what ever to be separated if need be. The exam rooms are off the heart of the operation. The layout is amazing for surgery, special exams etc. There is also a bereavement room. I find this a very special and thought out part of the veterinary care. Docs are great and give you all the information you need and want. Your pet seems like the "special" one that day. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They even have a scale in the waiting room if you just want to check in on your pets weight without an appointment. A great place for your pet care.

As a rescuer, I have worked with many vets in this area having fostered almost 300 dogs. Once I found Hunterdon Hills and Dr Westfield, Dr Chet and their wonderful staff I considered myself and my dogs "home". They are simply the best. When I work with other rescuers I find they also consider them the best, too. We have brought them broken dogs, sick dogs, dogs with every kind of problem imaginable and they never fail to correctly diagnosis and treat them, helping me send them on to their new homes in the best of health. I give them my highest recommendation and I am so grateful for their kindness to me and to all my dogs.

I have been going to the old and now the new facility for a lot of years. The staff at the hospital is very good.The operation is very efficient and the facility is spotless. They have very sophisticated equipment for rapid diagnosis and treatment. The best part is the Doctors. Dr. Chet is a very caring, communicative man who knows what he is doing. I only had one occasion to interact with Dr. (Chuck) Westfield and he did an outstanding diagnosis of my pups problem right away and treated him promptly and effectively. We just had our dogs teeth cleaned about 2 weeks ago and my wife was very very pleased with the results

I have been taking my dogs to the Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital for many years. The doctors have always been great. They pay attention and talk to my dog and try to keep them calm which works because the vet is always so calm and kind. The vet always is gentle with my dog. He also is informative as to what is being done and why and always asks if I have any questions. The vets never hurry their patients which is a huge plus and makes me feel that they love their profession. Under their care my dogs have always been healthy and that is good reason for me to continue to use this vet group for many more years.
