I had a terrible experience at Edgebook Veterinary Clinic. Ive never felt compelled to write a review before, but my experience was so negative I felt I needed to warn others. My sweet, beloved cat was exhibiting symptoms of pink eye which was confirmed by a vet friend who looked at my cats photo was she was vacationing out of state. She informed me it wasnt an emergency but encouraged me to have her seen by a vet to ensure my cat didnt have a foreign object in her eye or a corneal scratch. My usual office was closed on Sunday, but I called Edgebrook to confirm their Sunday hours and explained the issue. They told me to bring her in, never mentioning that they dont have exam rooms. When I arrived I discovered the exam table is located in the center of the waiting room. Surrounded by new people, strange cats, and barking dogs, my sick, scared cat behaved like.... a sick, scared cat. She hissed when the vet tech weighed her. The vet then approached me, without ever looking at my cat and said he refused to treat her (He actually referred to her as a "him". Apparently he didnt read the paperwork I diligently filled out). He informed me I need to leave and that I could see an emergency vet to have her sedated to look at her eye. His disrespectful treatment of a client in front of the entire waiting room was extremely unprofessional, but his refusal to treat my cat prolonged her suffering which is just unforgivable. If he doesnt want to deal with stressed animals, perhaps he chose the wrong profession. I will never go back to Edgebrook and have encouraged my friends to go elsewhere.

The only thing I had a problem with was the first time coming it seemed the doctor was very distant with me, also wasnt happy about them giving my cat expired shots so I had to come back. Though they did call me to let me know. On a good note next time the doctor had a complete change of attitude towards me maybe he was having a bad day. Staff for has always been very friendly and professional. Prices are super afforable. I recoomened it for that reason plus you are getting the care you need. The basic things your pets needs. Dont really care for how the exam table is in the waiting room kinda seems weird but didnt really bother me. Just had to keep my one cat in a cage becauae he hates dogs. Im surprised they dont section it off differently but oh well. I always recommend when people ask.

If you are looking for a beautiful vet center with a warm and fuzzy vet who will adore your pet, this is not the clinic for you. If you are looking for affordable basic veterinary care, a good, thorough vet who is on the quiet side and nice, friendly staff in no frills environment consider coming here. The hours are extremely convenient and the prices are very good. I have never had a problem in all my years going there. This is not an "full service" veterinary clinic and there are procedures this clinic does not perform. Several times Dr. Shaw examined my pets and recommended that I go to a full service clinic or the emergency vet for treatment, but he never charged me for his assessment. I always feel that I get a fair deal.

This place is horrible. They messed up my dogs paw when they cut his nails. Then try to charge me for pain medication and antibiotics. Told me I could pay an extra 35 dollars for a shot of antibiotics that would work faster. However, I denied the shot and just bought the antibiotics. After completing the antibiotics the paw was worse. Called down there for a relook at the paw and they refused service after the vet was very cocky and rude. I would not recommend to take your worse enemy here.

I would like to thank the staff at edgebrook for not letting peoples reviews get to them on here. Yes there is NO exam rooms for a basic exam but if needed surgery or and procedure there hare back rooms. This is a low cost facility. I find nothing wrong wiith it. People need to stop being so judgemental and be grateful that dr. Shaw cared enough to open this low cost facility. He very well could have went and opened an expensive practice like the one in the strip.

Quick and easy. Came in got my car checked out and updated on her shots, was given some medication to help with her ears, and scheduled a surgery to have her spayed all in the span of an hour. The staff was very nice, gentle, and professional in handling her. The price was affordable as well. This will be my go to spot from now on.

Doctor Shaw recently helped me save a litter of feral kittens. Thank you Dr and Staff. Dr Shaw and his Staff have cared for our 5 dogs Over the years. He has seen us through 2 spays, 1 nuter, 2 humane euthanasias, 1 dog with lupus, ear Infections and vaccinations, ect. He also treats dogs and cats from our relatives.

I am very happy with Dr. Shaw and The Edgebrook Clinic. It isnt a fancy place but it is a friendly place with good service. Good techs. Prices are quite reasonable - And most important DR. SHAW IS A VERY GOOD veterinarian doctor.

Last year I would have said great place BUT yesterday I went there for puppy shots The price used to be 60 now it went up to 75 each and they did not want to give puppy packs the woman said we have bills to pay too
