Ok. So my parents and I both have the same kind of dogs, they are siblings so we both schedule an appointment at "Always Compassionate" on rt 51, for the same time. Well my dog got called back first. PapPap was still in the waiting room. Evan went back and forth from my room to the waiting room to see Pap Pap, TWICE. The receptionist flipped out on my dad, twice. We asked her what she would like us to do. "Control your kid, this is a business" One NOBODY ELSE WAS THERE. Two, he wasnt destroying anything, he was seeing his mom and then pap pap. So my dads like what would you like us to do muzzle him, put him on a leash. "Well you could have someone sit with him in the car." Really?! "It is 90 degrees out, I am by my self! My dad and mom are separate from me, you have got to be kidding me right.. Nope... Id hate to see what yins would do if you had a big dog in there who barked, you wouldnt be able to hear your precious phone then either. DONT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD UNLESS YOU WANT FLIPPED OUT ON. THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR BUT 0 WAS NOT AN OPTION.

This was our family vet for three years. I only switched to a new vet because we moved. Every time we went into the Always Compassionate office, it was a minimum of a 30 minute wait regardless of appointment time. Pretty irritating. This even happened when we went just to see a tech to get our dogs glands expressed which should be a 5 minute appointment. But if youre a good vet, I can put up with that. However, when my cat had a life threatening condition, they could not see him immediately but instead offered a late day appointment 6 hours later telling me to go to emergency "if I thought it was necessary." Since Im not a vet, how would I know for sure if it necessary? I ultimately did decide to take my cat to the emergency vet where it was discovered he had a life threatening urinary blockage requiring immediate attention. If treatment was not started immediately, kidney failure and death could have resulted. Since "Always Compassionate" is clearly not always compassionate, Im switching to a new veterinarian for my two dogs and cat.

The best vet in the South Hills. The place is very clean, the employees very professional and kind, and the vets are top-notch. We have 2 cats & are likely overprotective of them, so were kinda picky about where we take them. Most vets are depressing places, but go to AC Vetcare and youll actually feel good about walking in the door. Its a nice office, conveniently located right on Rt.51 by Baldwin/Whitehall High School. The waiting room is spotless (with flat-screen tv!) The staff is very friendly. And the vets listen to every word you say & offer useful and caring advice. They love my cats! (But who wouldnt love my cats! LOL!) Seriously, if youve never been, you need to go. Visit their website if you arent convinced, it has good info there as well. Since weve been going there, we wouldnt think of going anywhere else. It is an absolute quality experience.

I have 3 dogs and all go to Always Compassionate. I find it hard to believe that anyone could give these vets a negative review. Dr. Werner heard my shepherds heart murmur on her first visit and had me go back so Dr. Terlesky could listen too an confirm. If it wasnt for the expertise of these 2 fine vets my shepherd could have died. A referral to PVSEC was made and the dog will be 6 this month. My older dog recently had minor surgery and again, care was top notch. My middle dog has anxiety issues and Dr. Werner knows just how to approach her to try to alleviate her fears. I never hesitate to recommend Always Compassionate to anyone looking for a vet. 3 of my neighbors use them as well and no complaints from them either!

We absolutely love AC Vet Care and would never take our dearly loved dog anywhere else!! We have been so pleased with the level and quality of care she has received. Dr. Werner has consistently showed so much compassion and sensitivity to our dog over the years that we couldnt imagine ever taking her anywhere else. Ive heard great things about all of the Drs there, but we especially love Dr. Werner and always request her. The tech staff are all friendly and kind as well. The waiting room and exam rooms are all very clean and well cared for. We never dread our vet visits and I trust Dr. Werner completely with our dogs care. Highly, highly recommend!!!

After reading the reviews but in particular the response to a bad review I will not be taking my pets here. The vet rambles on in response to a bad review that a dog in pain must have experienced it due to his/her diagnosis of a luxating patella - where no pain was experienced prior to the vet visit. Apparently the vet never heard of what happens when you cause a rupture. Instead blames the dog. What other excuses do they make. So, after reading the reviews as well say the vets response a big NO THANKS to the notion of going to this vet. Compassionate my eye.

I experienced my 1st visit here today and I am impressed to say the least. The techs were very patient and caring, and the Vet was wonderful! Dr T. She was honest, caring, thorough, and listened to everything that I had to say as well as gave advice that made sense . I have taken my pet to quite a few different vet office visits and I will say that this has been by far the best treatment, recommendations, and pleasant experience so far! I WILL be going here from now on, and I would highly recommend!

Taking my 5 1/2 month old Minature Poodle to this location. They injured his right rear leg and then tell me thats just the way it is for this breed. Not a care after that. I dont think they should have the name they do. I cant believe that a professional that is supposed to care about animals can do this damage toa little puppy and then say thats the way it is. If you care about your pets I would never step foot through their doors

I took my 16 year old, lethargic dog in without an appointment(we were new), they saw her after about an hour and a half ... the front staff made me feel guilty for coming in but they did try to take good care of her once we were in the treatment area. The one thing I dont like about any vet is when they wont treat the animal in front of the owner.
