My dear Nala got hit by a car last Friday. She had snuck out the front door when my son mistakenly left it slightly ajar while taking down the Christmas lights. A pet owners worst nightmare had actually happened and I had to take my Nala to the nearest vet as she had been bleeding a lot. I quickly Googled closest vet and Paws and Claws medical center popped up as I was driving. I called and someone immediately answered. From the moment they answered the phone to my most recent follow up visit everyone at the Paws and Claws office have been awesome. During a time that my son and I were terrified and emotional the entire staff were comforting and professional. The Dr. Is extremely thorough and provided excellent service for my Nala. We were lucky, she survived and just made it through the window of concern for internal bleeding. Shes still got a road to recovery but Im eternally grateful for the services recieved at Paws and Claws. They truly care about the animals and their owners. Nala had to have surgery, xrays, & ultrasound done. She had 3 lacerations that needed stitches/staples. While theres no price you can put on your fury loved one I feel the pricing was fair and included everything from meds to the cone of shame that my Nala hates. Everything was shared upfront so there were no surprises. The Dr. worked on my Nala and she was home that same day. I had some concerns last night and the Dr. encouraged me to take Nala in even though he had felt confident that she was fine I think he knew I needed peace of mind. Luckily she was fine I got my peace of mind and the Dr. didnt charge for that visit and Im extremely grateful. My parents came to be with us last Friday when Nala was being taken care of and were so impressed with the clean, professional and thorough service I recieved. My parents now want to take thier doggie, Holly in to see the Dr. for an odd growth she has. If youre looking for a family vet look no further!

I owe the life of my 10 month old Shitzu-Yorkie puppy mix to this amazing and superb Veterinary establishment. When my 10 month old puppy became violently sick throughout the course of a day and started vomiting partially digested food at 7:30PM I began to panic...I did not know whom to turn to; I had taken my puppy earlier that morning to another recommended veterinary facility and was sent home with antibiotics . So I quickly Google searched for the nearest veterinary clinic closest to my home and found this page..which was nothing less of a miracle. And so I quickly called them up but saw that their closing time was at 8:00PM. By this point I was very overwhelmed and in tears...but as soon as I began to lose all hope a very kind, calming and attentive young lady answered my call and slowly took down my information/puppys history and told me "not to worry and to please come as soon as possible to the clinic." Without a moments hesitation I quickly drove over to the facility where as soon as I walked through the doors I was being greeted and ushered into an examination room. My puppy was quickly examined and treated by the very experienced and knowledgeable Dr. Ramon E. de Armas and his amazing assistant George. This process took several hours but never once did they both not keep their undivided attention on my puppy. I had never seen such love and attentiveness...it was as if they were treating their own beloved pet. After all this was done my overall bill was extremely fair...any other Emergency Vet facility would have charged me in the thousands and not done half of what was done to my puppy! Since this ordeal my puppy has made a full-recovery and is now happy and healthy and doing what he loves best..running in my backyard. I have since transferred all my pets to this amazing establishment.... please be aware that you will not find a more experienced, humanitarian and pet loving facility like this one in all on Miami!!!!

I was referred to Dr. De Armas by a vet tech friend of mine that works for a pet neurologist. The vet tech spoke very highly of him so I decided to take my dog Daisy to him. Dr. De Armas talked to the neurologist about her test results with him, examined her and brought in an ultrasound specialist. Daisy had a mass near her spleen that needed to be removed. Dr. De Armas explained the details of the problem she had and since he had performed many sleenoctomys, I decided to have him do it. Dr. De Armas also reviewed the costs involved so that I knew what to expect and prepare for. I was very pleased with care my dog received. Also, recently, my other dog Pancho got a cut on his leg and Dr. De Armas stiched and bandanged him up. Any time I have a question or concern, Dr. De Armas and his staff respond promptly. They are professional and care about pets. The facility is clean and state of the art. Dr. De Armas is very knowledgeable about pet health and my pets and I always feel very welcomed when we at his medical center. His prices are affordable which is important to me. I trust my dogs with his veterinary care and although I do not live close to his center, I drive the extra miles because my dogs are worth it. Its hard to find a veterinarian that offers it all- great service, care, clean, good prices. Check him out!

I found Paws and Claws due to an emergency I was having with my dog. She is an 11 yr old poodle who became gravely ill with pyometra. We called everywhere and they all estimated a surgery of 4,000 minimum. I ran across this clinic on Google on a Friday night, called the doctor and he instructed me to bring her in the next morning. Long story short the pyometra was the tip of the iceberg, as my dog was suffering from a whole host of other problems, but the doctor explained everything to me, at every step of the way, and what at one point looked like a hopeless situation, got turned around for the better, and although shes not out of the woods yet, shes acting more energetic and happy than Ive seen her in months. And even with all the extra treatment needed for her anemia, GI bleeding, and lab work, it still came out cheaper than to have just had the pyometra treated somewhere else. Not to mention the times the doctor would go out of his way to stay a little later after work just so that he could explain things to me in person, or the amount of times he or the staff would stay on the phone answering my questions. I highly recommend this clinic, and will be transferring all my animals to here as their regular vet.

How can start . Reviews say it all. Dr. Ramon De Armas is the best Vet in town. Treats his patiences like his own. Office super clean and comfortable, and his staff follow Dr. De Armas lead, great customer service. Their scheduling services are coordinate very well, never had to wait more than 5-10 mins and your already in. Dr. Visits and very well explained, the dr. Explains details, recommendations and procedures in a more understandable way , for us who may not understand medical terminology. Even if you leave the office and forgot to ask the dr. ? Or completely dont remember, just give them a call back , and be sure youll get a call back from his staff or the dr. Himself to explain it to you over the phone. Again if you want your best friends in good hands, this clinic it is. Lastly the prices are very competitive, in my experience lowest i have found. So dont hesitate to call them and schedule your appointment. Thank you to the staff and dr. De armas for their work. Keep up the great work, us patients owners appreciate all you do for our love ones. Thank you.
