The psych. Ward / behavioral Units here are terrible. The staff are Lazy and dont even come get you for groups they announce it on the speakers in the unit, and they do not let you eat enough. The staff are always grump and vengeful and they try to make it as miserable as possible to get help here. They also lock and turn off all TVs and demand if you dont go to group to be put in your room with the door shut. I wanted to go to every group but one time they even told me that I was not allowed to Wich confused me because I I thought it was encouraged. They forced me into a padded room because I didnt want to take Halitol because I have had seizures on it and I was not even prescribed it. I asked for Lorazepam Wich I am prescribed and they refused acting like I was dangerous. They then got 5 security guards to hold me down in an excessive agresive manner and I even told them I was not resisting but they were abusing patient rights to request the proper medication and I told them that I would report that to the patient advocate and any other agency I could. They not only forced me to take Halidol Wich I allowed against my will peacefully without resisting but they also gave me a full needle of Adavan with it Wich was what I requested in the first place. I had more than one sieszure experiences on Halitol prior to this abuse of my patient rights that were DOCUMENTED. I had another one in that padded room. They also refused to treat me on a separate visit to their Emergency room for a psychiatric breakdown and suicidal depression and an Anxiety attack. I had no Medications and they still forced me to leave and I was so broken after that that I left IN the hospital Robe because I refused to be around such discriminant staff who refused to help me when legally they should not have been allowed to do so. I felt like a real Marcus Hopsin brought me back to the song Lusafer effect with Swizz and Hopsin. It was unbelievable how terrible they treated me and it should not have been legal.

Last week, I found myself needing to go to the Emergency Room and chose LDS Hospital. I had gone to an affiliated hospital the week before for the same problem and wouldnt return there if it was the only place left to go! My experience at LDS was night & day from the (affiliated) hospital. I was given extremely kind and professional care from the moment I walked in. The tech showed me to a room very quickly and within minutes, there were Nurses and techs attending to my immediate needs. The atmosphere there was so comforting and I felt like I was in competent hands and that they were going to do everything they could to resolve my issue. The Doctor was very professional but also very personable and I was so impressed with the seamless way my situation was addressed by several people. My Doctor even contacted another specialist who took the time to come & visit my room to set up a treatment plan. The Specialist followed the process through after I was released and Ive now had the procedure completed that I needed to move forward. I highly recommend this facility. The staff is amazing - friendly, attentive and competent and the facility is very clean and comfortable. I am very satisfied and hopefully I wont have to return to a hospital, but if I do, Im quite sure it will be LDS.

I had surgery on my abdomen. Just to note a couple things: 1. Anesthesiologist never even warned me he was about to cover my face and did it so sloppy I panicked. 2. My night nurse and aid (first night - 8 hours after surgery) were so difficult to get to my room. I couldnt walk without assistance and was a fall risk. I called the nurses station 6 times over 45 minutes and told them over and over I needed to use the restroom. It took 45 minutes at 2am for anyone to come help me. I was screaming from my bed. Yelling "please help"...nothing! 3. Same night aid had to help me get up to use the restroom and while I was in there she left. Just walked out of my room and shut the door. I waited 10 minutes in the bathroom hoping not to fall when I finally had to call someone to help me back to bed. 4. The day after surgery the nurses wanted to remove all my staples. The DAY after. I finally got in touch with the surgeon who said "No way, they stay in 10 to 14 days. Dont let anyone near you to remove them". There was one night nurse who was amazing....Lorraine. if you are on the 6th floor Id be very careful of anyone else.

General conference day my father had a sudden pain in his lower back. We got rushed into the LDS hospital emergency care and they ignored my father. He was screaming for help and the male nurse asked his name. my father could not speak literally and was gasping for air. "I CANT HEAR YOU, WHATS YOUR NAME!" SCREAMED THE NURSE! my father looked at him in surprise and whispered his name to which the nurse immediately replied "DO WE HAVE A PROBLEM? JUST CUZ YOURE IN PAIN, DONT BLAME US FOR THAT OKAY? IM THE ONLY NURSE AROUND HERE SO YOURE GONNA HAVE TO TREAT ME BETTER." then the nurse told everyone that he had a bad attitude so EVERYONE ignored my father. EVERY NURSE AND DOCTOR ASSUMED AND WAS CONVINCED that he had a kidney stone, and after 2 hours of screaming they finally gave him morphine. AFTER 5 HOURS OF PAIN, they finally did a CT scan and found out HE DIDNT HAVE A KIDNEY STONE! blood clot actually.. and if we waited a little longer it could have been a thromboembulism and moved to his heart and killed him. they are unprofessional, rude, EGOTISTICAL, AND NOT CHRISTIAN THERE. SO DONT GO THERE PLEASE!!!!!

So if it wasnt for the fact that my insurance makes me go here, and almost all of my doctors have privilege here, I wouldnt come back to this place. The bad experiences out way the positive. I had to have a catheter(already not pleasent) the nurse used betadine( allergic to ) told her this. She just left it there for awhile. Pitched a fit, shouldve kept my mouth SHUT, and then she continued to proceed. Let me tell you, she jabbed that thing in there as hard and ruthless as she could. TWICE. Know Ive got a wicked rash and Im in tons of PAIN. This lady SHOULDNT be in this job. Not to mention the er doctor wasnt really on the ball. Thank goodness one of my doctors was upstairs and came down and took care of the problem in less then 20 minutes. I had already been there for over 3 hours. Like I said I truly love my doctors and wouldnt change any of them for the world. But LDS really needs to up there game and deal with employees that are just going through the motion. Im getting really tired of leaving this place with new problems because of nurses!!!!

I walked the three blocks from my house, hyperventilating and passing out, to come to the hospital for help. I have no car, and it was the middle of the night past the times the trax run. I literally had nowhere else to go for my emergency. I begged them to give me somewhere else to go - because I knew they would gouge me for all I was worth - but in my weakness I was coerced into receiving "care". The doctor sat me in a room, yelled at me because I was taking too much of her time (I was in so much pain and having such trouble breathing that I could not speak fast enough for her), and then they balance billed me and are outright refusing to negotiate. I received literally no care. They sat me in a room, yelled at me, and then billed me four times what I should have paid for it. The only time in my life Ive been billed for being kicked while I was at the lowest point in my life. I wont go there again even if Im dying on their doorstep.
