My daughter got preclampsia @ 32 weeks her blood pressure was scary high & Payson Labor & Delivery couldnt accommodate a preemie baby or mother in such distress, her Dr. tried sending her to Utah Valley but was told it was full & they couldnt take anymore patients, so he told us about Timp.we knew nothing about! Was scared to death anyway of every thing~worried my daughter would have a seizure or stroke from the high pressure she had all night. (I have epilepsy from an accident in 2004 & my son in law lost his mom to epilepsy this past Feb.) Her Dr.also told her he couldnt go to Timp. Because he didnt have any privileges so she would have to have a Dr she never meet help through this scary time. Even though I was truly scared &tried not to show it knowing my daughter was petrified《 I believe some things happen for a reason & Timp. Hospital was absolutely wonderful! From the min. She got there & needed help immediately because the ambulance crew didnt talk to eachother about who should give her medication to lower pressure &ended up with a double dose from 2 nurses. The Team @ Timp. Rushed right in & took care of my little girl immediately. They explained everything they were doing& things needed to be done to get my precious little grand daughter here as safely as possible being 32 weeks (8 weeks premature) she spent 5 days being monitored closely giving time for steroid shot to help with the babys lungs. All the Nurses were wonderful- the Worst/scariest/most horrific time in our life but at the same time it was the most AmAzInG/WoNdErFuL/pReCiOuS/iNcReDiBlE time to have our BeAuTiFuL grand daughter come into this world. All wrapped together in one- I cant say enough how much I appriciated all the staff who explained everything to my daughter who was having her first child & not only that but her sister had a baby just 10 months earlier with severe complications making delivery scary (3 weeks early but the entire pregnancy was high risk)all Im saying is (Im very Thankful for the 3 healthy grandchildren I have now) Ellie was born @ 33 weeks {6 weeks early} she was 3lbs.14oz. She spent 3 weeks in the Timp. NIC U without needing any oxygen. She just had her 6 week check up yesterday & she weighs 6lbs.11oz. **wow** I am so PrOuD of my daughter for being so StRoNg during this time of high stress to say the least♡ she has really stepped up & is a AbSoLuTlY FaBoUlAs mOmMy♡ Ellie is one ♡LuCkY♡bAbY♡GiRl♡ to have parents who AbSoLuTlY♡LoVe&aDoRe♡her along with her GrAnDpArEnTs♡who Love her DeArLy♡&aunts&uncles, cousins, friends family♡ Thank-You for helping my baby girl (who was also preemie 20 years ago)a MiRicle♡ Herself the care I saw Timp. Hospital give ALL their patients is an AbSoLuTlY wonderful feeling your loved one is in the BeSt☆cArE☆ possible. To have BoTh of our BeAuTiFuL girls home safe, sound & hEaLtHy☆ is something I cant explain! (It brings tears to my eyes thinking about the what ifs & the BlEsSiNgS☆ we have that I am TrUlY☆ThAnKfUl☆♡☆

I am updating this review from its previous state (Ill leave the original post intact below simply for reference) for three reasons. The first is that I wrote the review right after the incident described and I was irate, I should have cooled down before writing it. The second is that the hospital quickly and courteously responded to my feedback and changed their policy. The third is that I want to accurately reflect how amazing their labor and delivery staff was. This delivery was our best experience with a hospital, and I dont want to leave the impression that I am unhappy with that experience in any way. Again, a big thank you to the hospital for taking this matter seriously and ensuring that in the future other new parents will have a pleasant experience if they need a follow up test performed on a weekend. I just want to state up front that I have never complained about a hospital or healthcare professional until now. I hate to leave a one star review, because the majority of the time my wife and I spent at the hospital was overwhelmingly positive and pleasant, but I feel that what happened the day after we were discharged with our newborn baby leaves me no choice. We received a doctors order to get a bilirubin check on our little girl, but because the next day was a Sunday we had to check in at the ER desk for our paperwork to go to the lab. After being told it would be a fifteen to twenty minute wait, we were instead waiting with our newborn baby in the ER waitingroom for over an hour. Meanwhile the lab is empty and could have zipped us right through. All we needed from the ER was literally a couple minutes of their time for the paperwork. Apparently the ER was quite busy, and they prioritize ER patients over the paperwork for labs. Normally I would be very understanding of this, but the fact that they thought it was ok to leave a newborn in a room filled with sick people is just beyond the pale. The ER staff was rude and completely uncaring about the situation. There were several other families waiting alongside us for the same test, waiting just as long. Eventually one of them complained enough to get their paperwork and the person who did it was rude and tried to guilt trip the family for "making the ER patients wait". After two hours we finally got the lab work done but only after being told by the ER staff that they were just too busy and we should come back later, at which point we went to labor and delivery who did what they had to in order to ensure we got to the lab. Again, Im sorry to post this, as the labor and delivery staff were wonderful to us, as was the lab tech, but I simply cant believe this hospital thinks its ok to make newborns wait in the ER for five minutes of paperwork to get a lab done.

We love this hospital; so caring, personal, and efficient. Very professional and friendly. Our son was born at this hospital and we have been to this hospital many times for multiple reasons. With this being said, we had a HORRIBLE experience in the emergency room earlier this summer. My husband came home from work early one morning shaking uncontrollably, could barely stand, and was suffering from other symptons I could not explain. I was scared. I took him to the emergency room expecting the warm, personal care I and my family have always received at this hospital. But we received the WORST treatment ever. It was not the hospitals fault, though. We love the hospital and everyone who works there, EXCEPT Randle Likes in the ER. He entered the room and neither my husband nor I could get more than two words in before this haughty, arrogant doctor cut us off and said "okay, let me give you my schpeel....." (Yes. He actually said "schpeel.") Then he proceeded to instantly judge us and be completely condescending--not letting us get a word in. The room felt cold and distant. The nurse who was assisting was on edge too. He told us first off that we should have gone to our family doctor and that he would order the standards tests but was not going to find anything. He was in the room for less than two minutes and charged us 1700.00 dollars. If I could be frank and write what I really thought of this sorry excuse of a man I would. But I know I cannot do that online. That is too bad. After my husband was given the standard tests and a judgmental prescription--Randle Likes instantly judged my husband as a junkie--another female who worked at the hospital entered the room. Randle Likes instanly gave her the eye and began talking to her in a very creepy manner, as if he could not contain his animal instincts and wanted her sexually right then and there. The woman was totally uncomfortable. And Randle Likes was almost salivating. It was very gross. I say all this because I truly love Timpanogos Hospital and want it to remain a reputable place that cares for the health and well being of the community. It is a relatively new hospital, and I want to see it succeed and receive the national recognition it deserves for its services and professionalism. I can only hope that the hospital will consider my review and keep tabs on this arrogant, worthless inhumane human who calls himself a doctor and decide if it really wants this type of person representing the hospital. I believe the hospital would be wise to rid itself of this unprofessional, selfish, egotistic creep before it it too late..... Thank you for your time.
