Tidmore Veterinary Hospital helped my family in ways too numerous to mention here when they cared for our "Jerrica", a one year+ Pitbull mix fur-baby, immediately after she was removed from our home fire on March 4, 2015, which totally destroyed our home, and took the lives of three other pets. Firemen rushed in and rescued Jerrica by removing her from her crate, bringing her out with severe burns to the pads of her feet, broken upper canine teeth from trying to escape from her crate, and burns on her hips and different places on her legs and hips, and back toward her tail where falling debris burned her. We were devastated at the loss of our other pets, and of the loss of the building we called HOME for 23 years. But GOD is good, and Tidmore Veterinary physicians and staff took our Miracle dog in, and treated her, cared for her daily, nursed her, and loved her back to the beautiful "Jerrica" we have today. They were patient with us when we visited, trying daily to check on her, as this was therapy for us as well. They became FAMILY to us. Jerrica loves going back to see her friends at Tidmore Vet. There are no adequate words to say, because Thank You just doesnt begin to say what we feel in our hearts about people who love on, care for, cry with, nurture your pet and you through good times and bad. If you are looking for a SAFE, LOVING, and CARING home away from home for your pet, please consider Tidmore Veterinary Hospital. They will talk to you, listen to you and your concerns, they will treat your "fur-baby" with the love and respect, and dignity that you yourself shower on your babies. They, along with God, saved our Jerrica. We can never repay them for their kindness and generosity to her and to use during such a devastating time for our family. Knowing Jerrica was safe and being loved, and cared for better than we could possibly do truly helped us to mend, and heal, and rest which was what we so needed at that crucial time!!

I have had numerous issues with this clinic but continued to go because they have couple of excellent vets. HOWEVER, today was the last straw. I would NEVER recommend this clinic. Tuscaloosa and Northport and even Bessemer have so many great, honest vet hospitals that I can see no reason why after trying for years to deal with all the problems Ive had I can continue to do business with this clinic. My latest episode with them - We were at the vet for my dogs yearly vaccinations. As I explained to the vet shortly before his exam that I have a dog that gets car sick and throws up 2 minutes into a trip. I explained this to the vet because I was seeing this particular vet for the first time. My dog had thrown up 3 times o a 15 minute trip from my home to the office. When I explained this to the vet, shortly after that he administered a vaccine in this mouth. This was part of his year vaccinations and a couple of minutes after we left and started on my trip home, my dog threw up the medicine he was just given. I called back to check on this and they said it would be fine if it was only in there for a couple of seconds. Really. I paid for a vaccine that only needs a couple of seconds in his system. Dont think so.

I will never use these people again. I brought my dog here after she was hit by a car and it was my first time using a local vet since I moved here recently. These people treated me like they were doing a favor, the staff is extremely rude and impersonal. One time I asked a staff person how my dog was and she answered, "I dont have a clue." My dog had fractured ribs and was in a lot of pain yet they would still carry her around by her torso. They also neglected to clean her wounds and presented her to me all bloodied up despite the fact that Id left her with them for the day. The doctors all leave at the same time for lunch, so when I came to check on my dogs progress the next day no one was there to tell me anything and the vet who had originally attended my dog was off without letting me know. I filed a complaint and got a very emphatic apology, but when I returned afterwards the staff behavior still hadnt changed. My dog survived and seems to be doing good, but we wont ever go back. No one needs the added aggravation of being disrespected when they are going through the trauma of a severe injury, and I certainly dont need to be treated less than human for future regular routines.

I had used Tidmore Veterinary Hospital for 15 years while living in Northport. I was always pleased with their services, but had nothing to compare them to. After moving to the east side of Tuscaloosa, I tried veterinary hospitals that were closer to home as a convenience. I was not happy, and am back at Tidmore, despite it being well out of my way from home. The front desk staff are pleasant and accommodating, as well as compassionate about my pets. I especially appreciate Dr. Sheppers, who personally calls me to let me know what was going on with my ill pet. I highly recommend Tidmore Veterinary Hospital as they are top notch people who treat you like family and love animals.

Have been a customer nearly 40 years. All the vets are great--Have kept my pets going for years. I am about to get another puppy and it will be a patient. The staff is great and they love and remember all the animals. Vet techs are great too and the pets love them. Had an emergency back in October and the techs offered to come to my house and load my 107+ pound nonwalking dog into my car. Much love to the clinic. THIS is the best staff they have had in 40-plus years. They take of the patients family as well as the patients with love and compassion. Will continue my relationship with the Tidmore Clinic as long as we have pets.

I have used Tidmore Veterinary Hospital for years. They save my peke years ago when other vets told me to put him down. He was 7 at the time and had developed a tumor and Tidmores operated and he had a great, wonderful life until we lost him at age 13. So I had him for 6 more years. They took GREAT care of my Daisy. She was there for 3 weeks and I was sure we were going to loose her, but they took very good care of her. I take all my pets and my MOMs cats to them. Best Vet in town and My Lexi, Sadie and Tilly get the best

Very good people, very knowledgable. Everyone at Tidmore vet cares about their patients and their patients human companions. My cat, Bones, has ongoing weekly visits. Hes not fond of visiting them every week, but everyone at the vet LOVES him. We always get excellent care and extra kindness. The doctors themselves are always patient and answer every question I have in a very thoughtful and professional manner. They are reason Bones is still with me and healing so well. *hugs*
