Do not go here. Its a death sentence waiting to happen!!! I went to the ER seeking help for my asthma. The staff treated me like I was on drugs because I am African American and we told them I was traveling from Las Vegas. I only went to Vegas to get away for my birthday, never did any drugs, never will! From the moment I was wheeled in the place by my brother the people had no sense of urgency that I could not breathe at all. They had my brother filling out forms while Im slumped over in the chair struggling to breathe. The receptionist said take a seat and wait for the nurse. Only one other person was in the waiting room and it was a couple with an infant c/o fever. After waiting about 10 mins the nurse came and walked in front of us to the room. She stepped to the side and instructed me to get on the bed (formed in the shape of a chair). I was so weak from struggling to breathe I tried to get out of the chair and collapsed on the floor. My brother told me the nurse just looked at me in disgust and asked if I have panic disorders. I kept pointing to my nose signaling I need oxygen. The nurse said "you need to get on the bed so I can take your vitals". The nurse was Roslyn L. My brother and his friend had to pick me off the floor and help me get on the bed while she stood there not trying to help at all. My brother begged to please give me oxygen or a treatment she took my vitals and said the doctor needs to see her before oxygen is given and walked out. All I remember then is blanking out and coming in and out crying. The doctor Pamela DeRouin was no better. She barely looked in my throat and listened to my lungs and told me I sounded clear and didnt need anything. My brother explained to her I have silent asthma and my vitals would be good I just need a bronchodilator to help open my throat and lungs. The doctor kept trying to talk to me but I could barely answer/talk because my throat was closing. The doctor said I feel like theres something else like youre not telling me something. My brother said what else do you want we told you everything (insinuating I took something). The doctor said well ill get her albuterol but her lungs are clear. She left the room and still did not come back with oxygen or albuterol until my brother went and begged for help. My eyes were rolling (my brother told me) by then. The nurse walked in and handed my brothers friend the nebulizer that you have to suck into. HHeelllooooo!!! If you cant breathe you need a mask not a tube to try to suck into. To cut to the chase when I did wake up and give my credentials of me being a nurse supervisor working on my doctorate they were in my room every minute and had the facility administrator Teresa in my room also. The doctor admitted giving me a placebo of albuterol the first time (she gave saline instead of albuterol I found out by her confessing). These people need to be fired. I would never hope that anyone would go through the same treatment as I did. Trust me its a lot more to tell but the whole story will be told to my lawyer and CEO instead. Luckily my brother recorded everything:-)

You all, please avoid this "ER" at all costs. It is like they put the worst providers and RNs at this facility because they were likely less sufficient in their previous places of employments. My daughter and I were there because we had an allergic reaction to some bug bites. I understand we are not as vital as an aneurysm or myocardial infarction, but no one even assessed me and looked at my skin. I have inflammation around my joints and it appears I may have an infection. When I expressed, after waiting 2 hours, that maybe they could at least draw a CBC while I was waiting there to see if I was possibly developing an infection, they (specifically Leslie) condescendingly told me "Thats not necessary". Really? How would she know? She never even looked at my body. No one did. At the very least, have a provider come in and scan my body to just reassure me that it didnt look like an infection. So unprofessional. They never once updated me on when we would be seen and when I would ask, they would be so rude about their reply and say, "Oh, you just have bug bites." Oh, nice. So someone who was not involved in my care knew about my problem? That is a HIPAA violation right there. As an RN, I am absolutely offended at how this place was run. The only staff that knew what they were doing was the front office staff. So, after waiting nearly 2 hours, and having absolutely no one even scan our bodies, we decided to go to Next care Urgent Care where everyone was kind, kept us updated on when we would be seen and took our problem very seriously. And guess what, I have a systematic infection. Nice work, Dignity. Pathetic. Avoid at all costs. There was absolutely no one in there that was having an emergency. If there had been everyone wouldnt have been behind the nurses station and laughing away.

Two stars simply because the doctor was pleasant compared to the overnight staff. Each time me or my family have had to come here, its been purely a matter of convenience given the proximity to where we live. Yet every time I find myself HOPING the visit will be better than the last and every time Im wrong. Im not sure if the nursing staff are aware they DONT have to work here. The overnight nursing staff is a joke. I had the misfortune of having John. Not only did he screw up my IV, he was exceptionally rude. Furthermore, I went in for dehydration caused by extreme morning sickness. My IV wasnt even halfway done before two different nurses started rushing me out. I was the only patient there. When I stated that I would be finishing the IV before I signed discharge paperwork, another nurse mentioned that "you dont even need the full IV. No one does. Half the bag is more than enough." This is why I I wouldnt be surprised if they pick their nursing staff from online, inexperienced programs. I cant imagine any single one of them making it in a legitimate ER or hospital. Like I said, the doctor was friendly but given the standard set by staff, the bar wasnt exactly high for her. If youre going here at night or in the early morning hours, FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE. Take the extra 5-10 minutes and go to the hospital on McDowell. You WILL regret coming here. You could get better service from a pharmacy tech at Walgreens. Listen to the reviews. If all you need is a bandaid, this is your place. If you need more, DO. NOT. WASTE. YOUR. TIME. HERE. This place should be shut down and the overnight staff should find a new profession; ideally one that doesnt require they have any social interactions.

I came to this ER because of cramping and vaginal discharge (Im pregnant). When I first arrived my fist impression was "wow this is a nice little spot". I was called to the back after about 10 min of waiting. Which is great for an emergency room. When I got to the back I was asked the usual questions from my nurse, then was able to hear the babies heartbeat with the Doppler. I asked would I get an ultrasound and they said "no we have to call in for those" although it says they have ultrasounds on all of their flyers. So when my doctor comes in he asked what exactly I was there for. So I explained the cramping and what not. He began drilling me asking me "why didnt you just go to your doctor, you know you couldve called them" etc etc. He gave me the impression that he did not want to see me and he was annoyed! He said he would run some test on my pee to make sure all was good, then also said he would do a vaginal screening. After he had already told me he wouldnt get results for the screening until a few days later (which is another reason why he said I shouldve went to my OB). So I didnt understand why he would do the screening if I wouldnt get results in a timely manner. Leaving this place I still had no answers... Only thing I was satisfied with was hearing my childs heartbeat. Everything else was just horrible.. Oh and they broke down the bed while I was on it (naked) ! Lol this place is a joke.. Dont waste your time there!
