Extremely disappointed in this facility and Dr. Smith. I saw her last Wednesday and was given a pretty weak antibiotic, which I didnt realize until I picked it up from the pharmacy and learned what she had called in. I started taking it in hopes that it may actually work, but over the weekend I got significantly worse. I called as soon as Family First opened Monday morning asking for a stronger antibiotic, as I had gotten a lot worse, and also asked for some cough medication, because my cough had gotten so bad that it was keeping me up at night. I told them that the previously called in cough capsule from the last time I was sick did nothing for me. By noon I hadnt heard anything, so I called back and again asked for different medications. I was assured both times that they would talk to the doctor. Nothing was called in before they closed for the evening. I started calling them again Tuesday and was again assured that the doctor had seen the messages, but HADNT GOTTEN AROUND TO CALLING ANYTHING IN FOR ME. I am in the medical profession and understand that business gets extremely busy and sometimes call backs or prescription refills dont happen until the end of the day, but when a patient is sick and has called multiple times telling you that theyre getting worse and need a different medication, you take care of it before you leave that night. Period. Are we not in the business of patient care?! So by Tuesday night, I had not received a call from the doctor or from my pharmacy and I had just continued to get worse, so I went to an immediate care facility. Unfortunately had to pay the steep fee to be seen, but they listened to me and got me some medications to actually help me. Shouldnt have had to even go there in the first place, because I had just paid for an office visit with Dr. Smith. So mid-morning Wednesday, I get a phone call from my pharmacy saying that they had filled the cough capsule THAT I SPECIFICALLY TOLD MY DOCTORS OFFICE DOESNT WORK FOR ME. Had not called in a different antibiotic for me. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Horrible patient care!! Will not be back! And I dont recommend this facility or Dr. Smith to anyone else.

I terminated the services of this group because of a couple of things. One, when Jill retired, all the warmth went out the window. No one wants to be treated by someone who clearly does not like them. Two, they billed the insurance company as if I saw the MD, not the NP. So they were reimbursed at the higher rate. Thats fraud. Third and last, they are now being managed by Medical Edge, a company that is very well known to be expensive, ineffective, to foster lousy clinicians who can make them a lot of money. Im much happier where I am, so even though Ill drive farther, I am much healthier! Oh! I took a lot of guff for my weight, my cholesterol and my "borderline diabetes." Come to find out that an expensive medication I was prescribed by Karen NP is associated with all those problems. Now that Im not taking it, my blood chemistries are great. I wish I could have stayed with them, and wish I had not been disliked as a client (never could figure that out, not like I was ever anything but kind, decent and mannerly!), but ya know, Happy Muigai is much, much better. Go see her instead! I did, and its GREAT.

Disappointed with the front office staff and appointment setting process. I left work for my appointment and was running MAYBE 5 minutes late but called before my appointment...my ENTIRE appointment was cancelled. I respect the doctors time as well as everyone elses, but it would have been be a nice bit of information to know that 5 minutes late would have resulted in cancellation. Alllll I know is I hope they run their practice this punctual sense there seems to be no room for error!

Just a profit center for poor physicians that are pretty much capable of doing the exact same thing as a Walgreen minute clinic. Had vital sign questions that went completely unaddressed and symptoms that were just ignored. If you want to get real family medical attention I recommend going else where. This is s prime example of why people do not like going to the doctor.

I have bee n seeing Karen for about 9 years and since Dr. Smith and her people have came on board my experience has degraded somewhat. Karen does everything she can to make things right but seems to be not winning the battle. Thinking about finding another provider but hate to leave Karens expert care.......Need some improvement in up front personnel. .

I switched to Family First because it was close. Great decision. They are friendly and always get me in quickly! When in the exam room, they really take time to listen and dont act like they are in a rush.

They got me in that day. The staff was great from the front desk to the nurse, very nice people. Dr. Smith is a great listener, easy to talk to and she knows her stuff.
