My wife and I recently moved the area and wanted some routine shots before traveling abroad. We selected Crescent Family Medicine mainly for convenience. The doctor was professional at all times and was very thorough with all information. The nurses and assistances were also great. But when it came to checking out, we got stuck with the entire bill. My insurance card clearly states that we should only be charged a $15 office co-pay. Instead, we got stuck holding the bill for over $300. The office manager (Pedro) was unyielding even after calling to verify the shots would be covered 100% by my insurance. Seeing no other option, I paid the entire bill with the promise they would reimburse us once they had collected from the insurance. After nearly 3 months, I get a call that insurance had paid (no surprise to me). I then attempt to stop by to pick up the check. The receptionist was unable to locate the check and would have to speak to the office manager, who was not available at that time. This went on for nearly two weeks. My wife and I both left vmail in Pedros mailbox. We both called and left messages with the phone receptionist. We never received a return call from Pedro. It was not until I threaten legal action and reporting them for fraud, did Pedro finally return my call. In the end, we received our refund. However, the whole ordeal with the payment and refund soured the quality of service I received. In a whole with so many choices for health care, I will choose to take my business elsewhere, to a place that will honor my insurance.

Would never go there again. Went there a while back when I had bronchitis. Made an appt. Got there 30 minutes earlier and filled out the forms quick. They had me waiting 40 mins past my appt. Went to exam room and waited another 40 minutes to see doctor. I even opened the door 30 minutes into the wait to see the doc and saw her chit chatting with a nurse or assistant. I did notice a couple of patient being frustrated with the clinic They did the test and came positive for bronchitis. I listed all my meds(which are pain meds) from my neurological doctor and told them I didnt need those since I already had a neurological/ pain management doctor. Then later on the next week my neurological doctor called me asking why I went to another doctor to ask for pain meds. These imbecils had told my neurological doctor that I had asked for pain meds. They found out that I didnt when they sent that visit record to my neurological doctor. My neurological doctor knew I wouldnt be dumb to ask for pain meds from a non pain management doctor after listing all the meds I currently had, info of doctor who I got them from, and a week after the date when I got them. I even wrote on the list of meds that I didnt need those. Made no sense. Just caused days of frustration.

I was a loyal patient here till today, every time I went to visit the doctor I was getting a weird 25$ or 35$ extra bill. I originally started here on the reccomendation of my boss when i was new to the area. Since then all the staff has been replaced and I still stayed on and kept them as my primary care doctor. HOWEVER, the last 3 times I have had a routine visit and or checkup, every time I leave the office I ask if that is all a owe and they say no because I kept getting these weird extra bills. It turns out the doctor has been charging me and my insurance for an extra office visit if i discuss more than the initial thing I came in for, regardless of if he asks me about it, or i bring it up. I am filing a formal complaint with the insurance company and getting a new doctor today, as a matter of fact, I have never seen more than the physicians assistant any time I have visited. Totally double dipping my insurance and then has the gall to double bill me as well. he should get a taxi meter if he is charging by the hour and just be honest.

The wait time is absolutely ridiculous, I choose the practice for my mom since they spoke Spanish and for location. my mom is elderly they had us waiting an hour in waiting room to waiting another hour in the exam room. Which seems really odd to me since my mom had first appointment in the morning and there were only two other people in the waiting room. Very frustrating to me especially when I hear the staff and doc socializing and not respecting patient wait time. Hard to believe that this is a practice managed by THR. Patient care should always come first!

The doctor here has been amazing, but is unfortunately leaving as of Jul 15, 2015. I will not be returning after her departure, as the front staff is one of the worst Ive encountered. I only put up w/their poor treatment because the doctor was so amazing. Now that shes gone, Ill find a new GP.
