I have been going here for years and have yet to be disappointed. The type of excellence that is shown by Dr. Zahka and his associates is refreshing. He is not only extremely knowledgeable, but he is also approachable. I often find it difficult to ask follow-up questions to someone in Dr. Zahkas position. That is not the case at Westwood Eye Care & Optical. He understands how to explain the most complicated situation in the simplest of terms. If I ever have a question or concern his response is prompt, proficient and reliable. He also offers a wide variety of frames – from older styles to the most fashionable ones. If he doesn’t carry the frame, he is more than happy to order it specifically for you. This place is an all-around wonderful experience. Starting with the pleasant faces at the front desk and ending with a quick Starbucks visit after – (it’s located right next door!)

At almost 27 years old Ive never had an eye exam. I started experiencing headaches from staring at a computer screen. Figured it was time to go in! The ease of making an appointment made a great start to my experience. Located in a very convenient location and very easy to get there. As soon as I walked in they were ready to see me! Margaret was great with my pre exam work and the doctor was awesome! Dr. Lavalle explained everything he was doing and made sure I understood what he was saying and doing. After I got to meet with Jeff to discuss the type of frame I was looking for. He was very helpful and was able to pick out a style that complimented me. I had a great experience and would recommend to anyone. By the way, I drove almost an hour to visit this office, and it was totally worth it.

Westwood Eyecare is fantastic! Its extremely clean and professional. They have the latest technology and are patient at educating me on each step of the exam. In addition, I LOVE THEIR FRAME SELECTION. They have high quality, fashionable frames from top designers like Jimmy Choo, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, etc. And theyre always willing to double check frame colors/ style options that they might not have on hand but could order for me. [They also just got in a new line - its all handmade frames from France called "Lafont"...incredibly stylish, you have to check it out]

I have wearing glasses since the late 1960s and seen many different Dr.s and never had the great experience like I did with Dr. Zahka. Dr. Zahka took the time to explain what the tests results meant. I was equally impressed with his equipment - with the latest technology I felt at ease and had increased confidence just being there. Jeff was great - he showed my the wide array of frames and explained what looked good. Not often do you find a Dr. and Staff that has the experience, care and desire to take care of their patients. Westwood Eye Care is a great place!!

I have been going to Westwood Eye Care for years. Even though I have moved away from the Westwood area, I still make the trip to get my exam every year. Dr. Zahka is on top of all the latest cutting edge technology for examining and testing your eyes. Jeff is amazing at helping you to narrow down all the great styles(they have some great High End designer names - Jimmy Choo, Gucci, etc) for eyeglasses and sunglasses. Making appointments and changing them is always a breeze with the friendly ladies at the front desk.

Dr. Zahka, Dr. Lavallee, Jeff, Kathy, Joni, and Margaret are all wonderful and extremely helpful. Dr. Zahka, and more recently Dr. Lavallee, have both cared for my eyes for more than a decade and I trust them completely. I especially appreciate Jeff, who is the best optician that I have ever had the privilege to have my glasses made and fitted by - he is a total professional and is a master at making and fitting eyeglasses. If you want a great experience going to get yours eyes checked I highly recommend Westwood Eye Care. The front desk staff are very friendly and personable. Dr. Zahka is very thorough with the exam and explains everything he is doing. I was very impressed with the machinery and technology used- very up to date! Jeff does a wonderful job of helping you pick out the perfect glasses, which I must say, they have a huge selection of! If you dont already come here, you should!

When I have a non-appointment issue they are always there to help me out. They have a better than average selection of frames. And the prices are competitive with other eye care businesses. I got my first pair of glasses from Dr. Z and Jeff. They are both great and the front desk staff are awesome too. Dr. Z always takes the time to explain everything thats going on and to let you know what hes doing and how youre doing.
