I wish there are negative stars so that I can give NEGATIVE FIVE stars -- this is the WORST doctor that Ive ever seen and probably the WORST service that Ive ever experienced in my life. Stay away from him if you can. I read some bad reviews before going to Dr. F but I thought its probably not a big deal since I only have to see him once a year just for a quick eye exam, and I liked that fact that hes local. Unfortunately I was wrong. I took my daughter to him last year and she complained that she felt uncomfortable during the exam but I didnt pay much attention to it. We went there again this year (last week). I requested for the exam for contacts only and after the exam, Dr. F charged us for two items, the regular eye exam and the exam for contacts. I said that I clearly mentioned that I only wanted the exam for contacts only. Dr. F insisted that his receptionist had explained to me that the two exams cannot be separated, which I did not agree. Dr. F lost his control at this point -- he tore up my daughters prescription and said the F words at least three time right in front of us. I was really shocked and said -- "Youre not acting like a doctor. You acted like a baby." Dr. F then asked us to leave. I just could not move my legs because -- first, I havent paid for the service that I asked for; secondly, I felt that Dr. F owed us an apology. Dr. F kept shouting at us that he was going to call the police. I said -- “OK, please call the police.” So two cops came ...... Well long story short, I paid the full bill ($75+$63) at the end and Dr. F did not apology apparently. What a shame!

Not Recommended for frames - They charge ridiculously high for frames. Please check other places before you put order. For example they charged me $340 for Nike Flaxo frame which is available in retail market well below $200. When I realized that after 2 weeks I called them. They bluntly told me that they make money on selling frames at that price and as prices were told to me before charging they can take it back. Bottom-line - I do not recommend doing business with them. If you have to, just check eyes with them and do not make frame.

I highly recommend Acton Vision. The new owner Dr. Buckley is a great eye doctor. He is friendly, patient, and kind, explaining every part of the exam. I had been having trouble with contacts that were not quite right. Dr. Buckley patiently made adjustments until we found the exact right fit for me. Im delighted with the result. His front office folks are also very courteous and helpful. They helped me find new frames for glasses and seemed to really understand what shape and size of frames work best and are most flattering.

I have been seeing Dr. Fishlyn for four years because he does such a careful, thorough job with exams. He is not rushing through them like most optometrists, and thus he caught a problem with my eyes that no one else has. He also was very helpful at suggesting frames that worked for the shape of my face. Highly recommended if you want someone who does the job right!

Say what you want about his bedside manner... He is very.. frank.. But Dr. Fishlyn gets my toric contact lens prescription right the first time, every time. And thats not something I can say about several other eye doctors Ive visited in the area. Also, their glasses tech is very friendly and helpful. Five stars for excellent results.

I went for a contact lens exam. Ive worn contacts for 15 years and never had an eye doctor ask to turn my eyelids inside out. It grosses me out. He said "oh stop being a baby. Its not a big deal" in a tone that was rude. Hes a professional and obviously not into customer service and listening to the patient.

I had a great experience coming to Acton Vision! Everyone was very friendly to us and there were plenty glasses to choose from. There werent many people so everything went smoothly. One thing to say though, the store has changed ownership and is a lot better. The doctors are also different from before.

My experience could not have been better. Leon saved me so much time in choosing a frame. He took the time to ask how I would be wearing the glasses before making suggestions. All his suggestions were perfect for my face and use. This is what customer service is all about. Highly recommended.

Competent, but his bedside manner is unfriendly. I wanted better looking glasses, and Dr.Fishlyn said "This is what I recommend. Take it or leave it." His staff is friendly, so that makes up for it a little. I think he is retiring shortly, so check back in two months.

Although this doc does a very careful job, he is not pleasant to deal with and downright rude on occasion. The good side?? He nearly always has availability as hes known for his lack of bedside manner.

The new owner is great and I definetely recommend going there. Hes really patient when he is doing your exam too.
