We were very nervous about finding a vet here in Florida since we recently moved here and are not familiar with anything. Our dogs are our "children" right now and we take very meticulous care of them. I am so relieved to find Dr. Walk. After doing a search for reviews, I found only good about her so I decided to go in for a visit. Firstly, the office is clean, smells nice, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. This is very different from our former vet. Secondly, the vet techs are all very helpful, compassionate and concerned about our dogs. They take time to talk to me about whats going on and make sure Im up to date and understand everything. Thirdly, but not last, Dr. Walk. She is AWESOME. She is so thorough with my dogs. She does a full exam every time which I wasnt used to but was very thankful for. She explains everything very well and makes the experience comfortable for me and my dogs. Even the small things resonated with me - for instance, she has metal tables for exams but makes sure to put a mat down first for my dogs comfort. Ive never had another vet do this and it made me feel so taken care of! If youre reading this Dr. Walk, we love the care you provide, please keep it up! Overall, Im very relieved to have found a vet I trust in the area for my furbabies. I highly recommend to anyone.

We are very blessed to have come across Dr. Walk and her staff at Harborside Animal Hospital. These folks have shown compassion and concern each and every time we visit their office. Dr. Walk recently found a mass in our cat Olivia and has been there with us to ensure shes comfortable and eating well - answering emails whether it be evening or weekend hours and enabling us to walk in whenever we could to ensure she was properly medicated. She spends time with us during each of our visits; shares all our options including weighing cost of our treatment plan options. Her staff has been loving and kind to Olivia who is typically afraid to be there. Olivia is part of our family and the folks at Harborside Animal Hospital have made me feel as if shes part of their family too. I am forever in debt to the compassion and love they have shown her. I would highly recommend Harborside Animal Hospital to anyone in need of great veterinary services for their four legged family members.

I took my dog Jax there this weekend for his annual exam and shots. I was so impressed with the staff and doctor. I called on a Thursday and had an appointment on a Saturday. They called the day before to confirm. The office is very clean and modern office. Everyone was very warm and friendly. The vet tech Britney was very knowledgeable and took exceptional care of my dog, taking note of my concerns and asking a through medical history. The doctor was just as pleasant and took the time to share her knowledge and explain things. When I was checking my email later that evening I had a follow up note and health report from Britney... it was personal note and not system generated. Then on Monday I received a follow up call and email checking on my dog after his visit. If you are looking for a new animal hospital look nowhere else! Affordable, Compassionate Care with Exceptional Service!

Front desk gentleman is awesome! Didnt appreciate that the visit was over 2 hours long, most of which was waiting in an exam room with a stressed pet. Additionally, we were shocked at the nickel and dimeing when presented with the final bill. Maybe we were there on an off day or something, but we will not be back as I believe more caring and less expensive vets are plentiful in this area. Edited on 4/3/15 I appreciate your response and totally understand each of your points. As I said previously, maybe our experience was an outlier. However, when hit with a bill for over $250 (over $350 with Revolution), for a few common on-site tests, a vaccination and take home ear cleaner we were taken off-guard - especially considering it was suppose to be a free first kitten office visit & physical exam. Obviously, I expected to have a bill, but not one as high as it was.

I feel that the vet staff at the Harborside Animal Hospital was extremely accommodating and understanding of my concerns with my cat. They did everything they could, and referred me to a specialist for care past their own abilities. Additionally, when I went to pick her up, the woman at the front desk called back and said "Willows mom is here to pick her up," and it was a really nice touch to refer to me as her mom instead of her owner. I am completely satisfied with the care my cat and I received! If I were to pick anything as negative, it would be the cost, as it was more than I expected going in, but the staff were very good at describing what I was paying for, and how much each service was, and I felt that I had the ability to turn down any services due to the cost. Overall a very good experience, and I will definitely be back.

We met Dr. Melissa at the Friday night festival in Safety Harbor last summer and decided that her hospital would be the place to take our one adopted kitty for a check up. And then a few months ago we sort of adopted a black stray that visited us on a regular basis. When we brought Indie in to get her fixed and checked out, we were surprised that she was a he and was already neutered. Dr. Melissa and her staff were very friendly and patient with him. They did a complete checkup and updated his shots. We made an appointment for our other female kitty, Camy, to do the same. The staff and doctor were always available to answer our questions and called frequently to follow up with their progress after procedures. We highly recommend the Harborside Animal Hospital to take care of our family pets and are glad we found them. :)

My husband and I took our aging dogs to their office in April, 2016. They diagnosed my mini poodle with advanced and end stage diabetes, and while they recommended hospitalization and aggressive treatment, they were sympathetic and worked with us for a treatment plan that fit our budget, especially considering his prognosis. We spent several hours there, they never rushed us with our questions and gave us plenty of time to discuss what we felt was best in private. Ive seen several vets across the country and I felt that everyone at Harborside Animal Hospital has a sincere dedication to treating animals and I will be very glad to continue bringing our other dog (and future animals) to them for quality, affordable, and considerate care of our four-legged family members.

I have been using Harborside Animal Hospital since they opened. Not because it is convenient to my location but because of the outstanding care and support I have received from the Staff and Doctor Melissa Walk. Harborside is cheery, clean and modern, highly efficient and extremely caring. My cats and dogs love the friendly Staff and have received nothing but the best of care from them. They are patient and will attempt to explain the most difficult procedures to me so that I have a thorough grasp of the care and treatment options available. Their knowledge and care are the best I have ever encountered. I would be lost without the assistance of this Team of professionals. Thank you, Doctor Walk and Staff, for keeping my chaotic crew healthy and happy.
