Dont ever use The Park Veterinary Clinic located @ 1014 Raritan Avenue in Highland Park, NJ. Dr. Goldsmith should have his license revoked immediately. He nearly killed my Cat after being neutered, he gave him an old Anesthesia that NO other Vet uses anymore because it is highly outdated and extremely dangerous and very risky. He sent my Cat home in the carrier I brought him in full of urine, I had to bathe my Cat, and place him in another carrier, and put fresh bedding on him, and a Blanket. I called Dr. Goldsmith, and said he wasnt coming to after several hours after I brought him home, and that the Cat was unresponsive, he said, "Oh, give him another hour or so, hell be fine" Bullshit! I had to rush him to Animerge, my Cat was in Anesthesia Shock, had Corneal Ulcers, and nearly came down with Neurological issues, one Pupil was completely dilated, and one was very small. The Vet that took care of Alex at Animerge was crying right before my eyes, she had seen his handy work before, more than once, and more than twice - I was going file a law suit against Dr. Goldsmith for $2,000.00 - twice the amount of his bill at Animerge - the neuter that he performed - the Anesthesia Shock - and pain and suffering for my Cat and myself, he quickly settled out of court, he is a MONSTER, and has a well known reputation amongst other Veterinarians for doing this to countless of other Animals. I would not recommend him to save a rabid racoon, let alone my beloved Cat, Dr. Goldsmith has a horrible bedside manner, he appears to be on Drugs, nearly fell asleep while doing the first examination. Whoever has given him any credibility has a brain the size of a Fruit fly or is deaf, blind, or severely retarded. Thank the Lord I didnt listen to his advice, If I had, my sweet baby boy wouldnt be here with me today. WHATEVER YOU DO NOT, AND I REPEAT, DO NOT LET HIM TOUCH YOUR PET, YOU WILL REGRET IT! Your pet may not be so lucky as Alex was. He doesnt deserve a star from me. I wouldnt be surprised if goes under a pseudo name to praise his work. I DO NOT BELIEVE A SINGLE GOOD REVIEW CAME FROM ANYONE. ITS NOTHING BUT BULLDUST. HE IS ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY AND TO SUPPORT HIS OBVIOUS DRUG ADDICTION!

Our family has worked with Park Vet for decades--cats and more recently rabbits. Not only is the care excellent, but they really go way out of their way to help. Example--last night my daughter was very concerned when she noticed that one of her rabbits had lost a lot of weight. She called the answering service after hours and requested an appointment for the next day. The doctor called her back almost immediately and helped her figure out what was going on (the other rabbit was stealing his food) and how to deal with the situation. Wonderful! Another example from many years ago: our house cat "escaped" and got into a fight with something, sustaining a wound. Unfortunately, because of family illness we had gotten distracted enough that the cats rabies vaccine was out of date. Several vets said that there was no choice but to put the cat down. Dr. Goldsmith gave him a booster and the offer of 6 months of boarding quarantine (required) at an enormous discount. Six months later, Misha came home to some very happy children--children who had been visiting him in "the hospital" for those 6 months and cheering him on. That cat lived to 19 years and was an important part of our family for that whole time. As a postscript, at 19, his kidneys were failing. Dr. Goldsmith helped us set up a dialysis routine we could do at home for a few dollars a day. My youngest son and I did that twice a day for many months--keeping him comfortable and cementing the bond between cat and child. That child learned a lot about life and himself during that period; something we would have lost if we had done everything "by the book".

I am so grateful to Dr. Goldsmith that I had to write a review. My cat got extremely sick very suddenly and I rushed him to his local vet who advised me I needed to go to Red Bank Specialists. Red Bank charged me a fortune and sent us home with medicine for asthma. He was not responding to their treatment and was getting worse gasping for every breath. After two failed visits to Red Bank and watching my cat suffer, I was desperate and learned of Dr. Goldsmith through a friend. Dr. Goldsmith called me back immediately on Memorial Day and gave me an appt. for the following morning. After keeping my cat for a week, I am happy to report my cat came home and can breathe comfortably and normally again thanks to Dr. Goldsmith! My cat had a major infection in his throat and lungs not asthma and with the proper diagnosis and proper medication my cat is on the road to recovery. This is the best veterinarian I have been to and am so very grateful my furry family member got the best treatment possible. I would also like to say that an entire week hospital stay including IV, meds, scope, culture, X-Rays, treatment and care at Park Vet Clinic was less expensive then two in and out visits to Red Bank who misdiagnosed the condition. Thank you Dr. Goldsmith, Linda, Kaitlyn and Terry for taking such great care of Pumpkin and for all your follow up phone calls!!!

I gave this place 1 star because google doesnt have the option to give 0 stars. Look at my 4lb chihuahua Rocky, does he look like he needs a muzzle? Well this Jerk vet Dr Goldsmith thought so. I was in tears at how he was handling my tiny baby boy, literally thought he was going to break a bone with the force he used on him. My mom was laughing at me saying Im sensitive with dogs. I was getting pissed. If I was in there alone I wouldve told him to stop grabbed my dog and cursed him out, but my mother was telling me to calm down. Then the icing on the cake he slapped my baby across the face when he took the muzzle of calling him a bad dog. I NEVER had an experience like that and I not only will NEVER go back there IM WARNING EVERYONE WHO LOVES THEIR DOG, I BEG YOU PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ANYWHERE ELSE. I dont know why he is a vet he HATES dogs, but he seems to like cats. Trust me I read every review I could find. IM NOT EXAGGERATING WHEN I SAY I HAVE PTSD AFTER THE VISIT, I CANT IMAGINE HOW MY BABY BOY FELT. DR. GOLDSMITH IS LUCKY MY MOM WAS THERE. PS its funny everyone keeps talking about drugs because I do know a lot of special K use to get smuggled out of there and it was an inside job. Was the DR high or the Vet tech? or both?

I took my cat to Park Veterinary Clinic for a general exam and because she had an ear infection. The vet examined her and took a swab from her ear and examined that. He never cleaned her ear or examined the canal. We were given an ointment to put in her ear every day and were told that the doctor would call in a few days to check on her. After 3 days without hearing from the doctor, I called in because my cat was having problems with one of her eyes and her pupil was contracted and the membrane was swollen. I was told to put plain saline in her eye and once again I was told that the doctor would call in a few days to see how she was doing. I am now at another 3 days later without a single call from anyone at the vets office. I called today because my cats ear is not improving, her eye is not improving, and she is lethargic. When I called at 1:30, I was told the doctor would call me back in a few hours. At 6:30pm, my boyfriend called to speak to the vet and was told he would receive a call back in an hour. At 8:30pm after once again not receiving a single call back, I called the vet. I told him I would not be coming back and would take my business elsewhere.
