****** Edit 5/11/17 .. Since the "Doctor" decided to respond to my review TWO months after this happened..First, your version of the story is exactly that, a story. You have twisted this to look like you are not at all guilty which is unbelievable. Second, for you to mention that we "should financially be able to" care for our dogs is another example of how disrespectful and unprofessional you are. Lastly, because this is as much effort as I want to put into this - did you write this response before or after you called our regular vet on this past Tuesday 5/9/17 without our authority? You called our vet to ask them to send you OUR dogs vaccine paperwork WITHOUT our permission. Luckily, they are a professional office and called us first before sending them to you. Of course we told them not to send you the paperwork. As I told your office when I called to inquire why you would need the vaccine paperwork (of course none of the girls in the office knew why you needed it...) You do not need the paperwork, as clearly, we will not be returning there. I think you need to move on and focus on making your business and your office better. ***** If I could give 0 stars, I would. Where do I start?! Per the rescue that we adopted our puppy from, our adoption fee went towards the spay but it needed to be done at Raintree Vet. When we went to Raintree Vet a few weeks ago they told us xyz vaccinations that she needed to have before the spay. So, our regular vet in Toms River did all of them - distemper, rabies.. and I brought her in today for the spay. The office tech this morning asked me if our rescue covers everything with the spay - never said the word "rabies". She only asked if I want to pay extra for the cold laser therapy - I said yes. My fiancé and I go to pick her up after and the girl says $69 - we ask what for and she said the "rabies shot". My fiancé immediately said that she already has her rabies shot she EVEN HAS A TAG ON that says so! And they sit there and bicker back and forth, blame the morning office girls.. blame ME and call the morning girl who said she had a conversation specifically about the rabies. Im like um no she didnt! Still not believing me they said theres nothing that they can do - and the shot itself was only $20- her meds and laser was the additional. OK. We dont care about the cost but now she was given TWO rabies shots in a matter of a few weeks because of their multiple mistakes and miscommunication. This other woman then gets involved - she was so unprofessional, rude and short with us. I said "Who are YOU" and she said the vet, I was speechless.. Dr. Glicker should not be running her own business with that attitude. All we wanted to do at that point was make sure our puppy would be ok - she was then screaming down the hallway and even said she was getting ready to leave for the day. We said lets just go, not worth it and we dont ever have to come back here! .. now were home and the rabies was actually $30 not $20, more b.s. from them. Lastly, they didnt once apologize - they only cared that we paid them the $69.

Brought my puppy here for the first time, staff were very nice but the vet who saw the dog was awful. I had some concerns about him having been coughing and thrown up and he didnt even address those issues... dismissed them and ignored completely. Just asked me questions about where I lived and if there were ticks etc and when I said yes he told me "im going to give you this, that bla bla" but did not give me the option, basically forced me to buy overpriced things I didnt need. (Anyone can get frontline much cheaper and as effective) It was the way he did it, very deceptive and I felt very taken advantage of. Not only that, but his poop was a little mushy, not diarrhea but just soft (hes eating wet food so this is normal). I had brought in some in a sealed container just because i wanted him to check for worms etc as I know this can be present with puppies. He did not have any worms, however again the doctor said "Im going to give you this for his stool" again- just saying he was doing it and not explaining anything or why/if he even needed it, which it turns out he didnt at all. Not only did the medicine do nothing but he even shorted me a pill! He said he was giving him the first pill that day and then for me to give him another at night and to continue on for a week. So when I got home I noticed there were only 12 pills, he gave him one so thats 13. But 2 pills x 7 days should be a total of 14. Overall I was very disappointed and wont be returning back. I feel like they are not at all interested in the actual health of your animal but rather just looking to make a dime off of you. I left with a $200+ bill when all he really needed was his next shot (40$?) So disappointed and upset with this experience!! * In response- No one ever disclosed to me bacteria was found in his test and it says this no where on the receipts or the medical history I requested sent over from my visit so that I could bring him to another vet. So the fact this is the first time Im hearing this in response to a review online is even more dissatisfying. I did bring him to another vet Monday who tested his stool as well and called me the next day with the results finding an intestinal parasite which somehow was overlooked by you or was not disclosed to me. I received the proper care for him here and was very informed of everything something that was clearly lacking in his visit to you.

While the Vets and staff are very competent and knowledgeable my only complaint is perhaps they should realize that not all of their customers are upper middle class or rich. Some of us cant always afford top quality care due to financial issues but that doesnt mean we dont love our dogs and should be made to feel guilty about it. I make this complaint based on the experience I had today for my dog who had been having some ear problems. After an an hour of wait time (usual even with an appointment) I finally got to see the vet, she weighed my dog, looked over his ears and took him to the back. After treating him Dr. Glicker found it was necessary to come back to the exam room (where I was waiting) to show me a paper towel full of black debris/dirt and bacteria/yeast that was in his ears going on about how there "was so much" and making comments like "well this must have been ongoing for a while" and "we really had to work hard to get it out because his ears were packed" as well as asking questions about who grooms my dog. I just felt it was very invasive and unnecessary and she was doing it to shame me. When I explained I am not always at home and didnt notice anything wrong with his ears until recently she gave me a look, almost an eye roll, as if she didnt believe me. When she left the room I overheard the Vet and the nurse/secretary a room over discussing my dogs ear problems and their apparent disbelief over my "story" and the condition of his ears. They need to know that their walls are NOT sound proof. Very unprofessional. These comments really made me feel awful, it was obvious she was trying to make a point about the care I give my dog. A simple "He has an ear infection so we are going to treat him" without the show and dance would have been more appropriate. I love my dog, but I can admit I dont always have the resources to offer them 100% quality care, when I can afford it I always bring them for a visit. To have the Vet treat me like I was doing a poor job as a dog owner was really mean and rude even if she feels its true. I wont be coming back to Rain-tree. I will be looking for less judgmental more understanding, conscientious Vet in the future for my dog.
