Fabulous Animal Hospital!!! I lost both my cats to cancer around the same time, and the folks at Fanwood Animal Hospital helped me make a very sad situation better with the care and patience they had with me and my two boys. The vets are absolutely magnificent...they are honest about choices and do not push you to choose the most expensive option. The vets are available and there for you at all times and they make you feel each animal, and you, are very important to them. I can say enough good things about FAH, but I just rescued a kitty and doggy and they will be taken care of by these vets for life!!! (Plainfield Animal Hospital was where I took my cats before, but with all their technology and huge building etc....they are expensive and too professional (distant?), at Fanwood, they are not distant and they are incredibly hands on...and cheaper...) Best vets in all the years of pet ownership!!! FAH the way to go...worth the drive as well!

Fanwood Animal Hospital is absolutely the best place to take your pet. The staff is truly caring and, should your pet have an important issue, will do their best to have him or her seen that same day. As far as Dr. Franz, well, I cant say enough about this good gentleman. His concern for the animals shines through in everything he does. Our cat was always very fearful of "the vet" and would react accordingly when in his office. Dr. Franz patience with her was simply without equal. It was never hard to see how much he cares, loves and is concerned about the animals in his care. During our cats final days, this concern was never more evident. His frankness and patience with us, and his gentleness toward our cat were without equal. I would highly recommend Dr. Franz and his staff at Fanwood Animal Hospital.

My rescue dog, Bambi, has been a patient of Dr. David Frantz and Dr. Rachel Roby since 2006. Bambi has received the absolute best care and diagnostic services. Dr. Frantz has diagnosed physical irregularities and/or disease, has performed surgery when needed and referred specialists when necessary; he has been fully engaged and supportive in her rehabilitation and palliative care. His staff is caring, empathetic, engaged, and very helpful when scheduling appointments for her and dispensing necessary medications. While owning a dog in her declining years can be very stressful to an owner, knowing your veterinarians are there to assist you in general or emergency health issues is tremendously comforting. I am very, very grateful.

I stopped into this place on Tuesday 6/3/08. I just moved into Scotch Plains and bought a puppy last month. I called this place and asked if they had Frontline Plus flea and tick control and they said yes. When I got there the person at the front desk asked another person who I assume was the Vet if they had FrontLine. She said yes. Ther person at the front desk then asked me for my name. I told her and she said I wasnt in the computer. I said I knew that. She then asked the Vet what to do and the Vet said I would have to be a client to buy it. Thats it. Nothing More. As I looked around the place I would not go there anyway. It looked dirty and in need of painting.

We have been clients for 7 years now and just love it! We have two dogs and two cats and we have come to know the staff quite well. We switched to Fanwood Animal Hospital after a really bad experience with another Vets office. All the Doctors here are very talented, knowledgeable, friendly and wonderful with the animals. What I also love is that if there is something that would require a specialist they will refer us somewhere else. The last vets office we were at did a surgery that they should not have been qualified to do and ended up killing our dog. We will be patients/clients of Fanwood for a very long time!

I have been taking my pets to Fanwood Animal Hospital for at least 15 years and have always been happy with the treatment that my dogs and cats have received there. I have found the vets and all of the staff to be very compassionate people. They treat my pets as if they were their own and I never feel rushed in an appointment. Last week when I was there and saw Dr. Franz with our new puppy, I was thinking on my way home how I wished I could find a pediatrician for my son who is as compassionate and thorough a doctor as Dr. Franz is for my dog. I highly recommend Fanwood Animal Hospital.

We switched from another Vet hospital nearby, mostly because it seemed as if every time we came in they wouldnt treat anything without a blood test. So we heard about the Fanwood hospital. Dr. Franz took care of our new pup with a serious skin condition, and cleared it up in one visit - no blood test required. This is a caring, friendly, low-key but competent operation and I highly recommend them.

I love Fanwood animal hospital -- I take my dogs and cats there, and they are always great. The staff is friendly, and Dr. Frantz is an excellent vet. He truly cares about animals, has a wonderful way with them, and provides top-notch care. And he is sensitive to expense issues, unlike some places. I highly recommend this place.

Ive had both of my dogs cared for here, first when Dr. Duddy ran it and now under Dr. Frantz and I like these folks, from the vet to all the ladies behind the counter and the techs. Ive boarded one dog twice and all seemed fine. One dog had significant surgery which seemed to go fine also. I recommend Fanwood Animal Hospital.

This is BY FAR the best veterinary group in the area. I would travel over an hour if I had to for the quality care we received by Dr. Frantz and his staff. Our dog LOVES going! I pass several vets on the way to Fanwood Animal Hospital and will continue to do so for as long as Dr. Frantz is taking care of animals!
