Wow, this place really needs an update. Im glad to take the time out of my hands to write on here, because this place is absurd. Im not understanding what other reviewers see in this "so-called" animal hospital on other review forums. From the last time Ive recalled, there is only ONE VET there assisting with any of our pet friends. Unfortunately, I do not see anything great from my past visits to this veterinarian and hospital. Im definitely happy that I took the time to look up on GOOGLE SEARCH to find a wonderful animal hospital close by to Manville, NJ. The place is called Somerset Veterinary Group on US 22 Bridgewater, NJ. If anyone wants to go in there for just one day, youd see what Im talking about. A huge difference between the two clinics, because compared to the new vet, my old vet NEVER accommodated for my poor 6 year old black labrador/chow-chow. BlackJack has hip problems and is low on thyroids, and hes afraid of heights. Hes been traumatized from drowning and heights ever since he was real young. Every time BlackJack (my dog) goes for a pet checkup, he gets really scared! Ive always hated seeing him being so sad and when he sees the vet, he growls right away! Well, I dont have to worry about that anymore! Hes been happy going to our new Vet, Dr. Colleen Miller. When she came into the patients room, she introduced herself very warmly and she took the time to get BlackJack to warm up to her. When she evaluated him, she went down to his LEVEL to accommodate him. Shes a sweet woman and unlike the previous vet, she knows how to explain things in such a way that both my boyfriend and I understood. We dont understand MEDICAL/VET TERMS, and she explained things so well that I couldnt resist but to go online and write how much I have wasted all of my energy, time and money on the Green Brook Animal Hospital. Not only that, the VETS HANDWRITING is SO TERRIBLE AND ILLEGIBLE that even the receptionists and the new vet herself couldnt even read it. He never writes clear and when the receptionists called the Green Brook Animal Hospital to fax over the medical records again, he still wrote it in the exact, same way. It shows how much this place truly lives up to their name. I hate to be the one throwing these people down, but theyre not meant to take proper care and procedure for the health of our beloved animals. Id rather spend a little bit extra for my pet than to ever bring him back there again.

Stay Away from this place! This place is like a hole in the wall seriously. Very dusty and old looking inside and out. The place smelled horrible. The doctor did not ask about how the dog was acting at home or if i had any concerns. Did not mention any tips or give any advice as to what needed to be done going forward. He requested a stool sample when i came in and when i brought it he took it in the back for about 3 minutes, came back and said it was fine..... He suggested I give my new puppy 4months old a Rabies shot. He also had a long list of other shots he should get but i opted to just get the Rabies one because this was my first pup and i did not know. He was just very cold, not very friendly didnt make us feel welcome. It was just a wam bam in and out non caring attitude. I left feeling like i had been taken for a loop. I then went to another Veterinarian which was VERY welcoming, they over explained everything i should watch out for, etc etc etc. Took a lot of time with me and made us feel VERY welcome. They also told me that he was too young for the Rabies shot and that they usually give that immunization LAST NOT first. Also i found out that my pup DID in fact have worms in his stool and was put on the proper medication. I will NEVER go back here. They are not concerned with the well being of animals and it felt like a "CLINIC" only about the money. So if you are looking for a caring inviting welcoming Vet, DO NOT GO HERE!

My dogs have been patients of Dr. Weltner / Greenbrook Animal Hospital for literally three generations as will any and all subsequent pets* The office / clinic is admittedly workaday in appearance but the technical competence and care has always been first-rate and that, to my mind is the reason to embrace any practice, veterinary or otherwise. The doctor has been straight-forward and professional even when the news is not the best. His advice, care and counsel allowed us to squeeze an additional three quality years out of one dogs life. I hasten to add that the doctor gave us that dogs first few rounds of insulin @ no cost to us just to prove the point that the life could be saved. If you are seeking posh appearance and the bells and whistles that allow superficiality to demand higher costs, then perhaps this is not the practice for you. If you are seeking an honest approach to medicine and quality care for your pet, you will come to appreciate that this is the provider gives good weight. * We also keep goats. Dr. Weltner drew the line on his own ability to accommodate ruminants but gave me some basic advice and readily referred me to a practice able to handle them.

This vet performed surgery on my 6 month old kitten when she needed to get fixed. She was born the runt of the litter and had neurological disorders, but she was a beautiful girl and we loved her (still love her) very much. He called us and let us know that he could not find her uterus, and when he did it was misshapen. He said she was too small. Though he continued anyway. After he did the surgery, our kitten acted funny, presumably from the sedation. The next few days, she still didnt seem okay, and began to wheeze, so we took her back to the vet. He was going to charge us emergency fees because he was going out to dinner in 20 minutes. All he did was take her temperature and say she was fine. We brought her home and a little over a day later, she passed away. She was perfectly healthy before. We took her to a different vet to get the quote on the surgery, and she was in perfect health. Never will we go to Greenbrook again.

If you are not looking of a super-duper animal clinic but rather within your budget, full of care and personal touch place - this is the right vet. Called on Sat at the last moment with 2 cats and got accommodated! Looked my bill and took out a credit card out of my wallet without a heart attack. Since we take care of bunch of stray cats - this is our new place!

Cannot say enough nice things about Doctor Weltner & the staff here. Always were kind, prompt with appointments & knew exactly what to do with my dog. Highly recommend!
