I had a bank prob, a serious one, i tried to pay with my visa and found the bank had a hold on all of my accounts...and i did correct the situation an hour or so later, but at the time i was scared as well as angered, and though my voice went into a rage with the bank on the phone, i didnt curse and at that time nobody was in the place.Some guy, who i think was the head doctor came out and told me to quiet down and i did apologize..then i explained i needed to quickly go to the bank to straighten things out and i could be back in about an hour...i then told him i could leave him my 18k gold freemason ring as a coladeral for the 130.00 dollars or so i owed...He could have nicely aid no, but rudely said "we are not a pawn shop...but dont worry, we have your dog" (he was still in the room when i was paying)...I replied "you are holding my dog for ransom"? and he told me "you can get your dog if you want and leave with out paying, but i will immediately call the sherriffs dept and have you arrested for theft"...I could not believe my ears....what choice did i have....I left, cleared things up...returned in under two hours, paid what i owed...My dog was in the same room i left him in, with NO water and the syringe that they used to give my dog a shot was still on the counter with other medical instruments left out right next to the dog treat canister......They are sooooo lucky my dog did not decide to chew on any of it.The one refreshing note was the woman at the front desk as well as the assistant to the doctor that helped my dog, the doc who help my dog seemed ok, an avg vet, but that man who came out who seemed to be incharge and who seemed to represent their office as well as his attitude and the actual way they didnt care for my dog when i was forced to leave him there will keep me from returning...no wonder the place was empty. TO JESSICA BIXBY, WHOSE COMPLAINTS ABOVE MINE: Dont let them BULLY you...they tried that on me...probably the same guy...and I found out from another clinic (we have 5 pets, they lost out) that when he threatened to call the sheriffs dept I should have let him, because it was against the law to hold my pet for payment/ransom as he did. He can try to sue you, but you wont lose from a truthful statement...And you probably could sue him back if you could somehow prove your case and find the right attorney. These people dont seem to care, like I mentioned above, as they held him for payment/ransom, they had him in a room with no food or water, and the medical instruments including a syringe were left right in the open, on the desk right next to the dog treats...my dog could have chewed those medical instruments with fatal results...and they never even apologized for their carelessness...STAY AWAY PEOPLE is the best advice I can give for this place. Oh, one last footnote...i do not know if it was just the wrong words chosen or a fuedian slip...but isnt it strange how the post below says "...and was very happy with our service."...OUR service? LOLOL...? Did a doctor their write his own review? You judge for yourself, but from what I experienced there, proffessionalism didnt seem like it was part of their businesss recipe.

Wow, Threaten to sue over previous review if I didnt change. Pathetic. Due to unlicensed tech the cat is dead over a hair mat. A hair mat! Every animal deserves to be treated with respect. The horror of hearing your pet screaming from the waiting room while waiting with your 2 yr old. Then on top of that you have the audacity to charge for the cremation? Talk about rubbing salt into wounds. No sir I will not remove my comment about your tech torchering a cat to death. You say the cat had an arrhythmia. How can you prove she did after shes dead. BS sir BS! There are 8 yrs of records where an arrhythmia was never detected. This comment is here to make others aware. Of the incident. FYI, you can try to sue but how are you to disprove this didnt occur? How are you to prove that you have suffered damages do to my honest review. This is to make others aware of an incident and prevent it from re-occuring. The anguish your clinic has caused is beyond repair. My only hope is that it doesnt happen again. Sadly according to another bad review if you think they dont have money their pet suffers. So sad. currently 2 bad reviews out of 4.

I took my dog here to get her puppy exam and shots. The office was very clean and the staff were great with my dog (2 lb rat terrier/chihuahua at the time). Went over everything and were willing to answer any questions I had. It was easy to schedule an appointment for her follow up shots and spay. They called the day before her appointment to verify the date and time. They called me when it was okay to pick her up from surgery and completed paperwork for her to travel (by plane). Two days later the office staff called to check up on my puppy to make sure she was doing well. Just made an appointment over their internet system last week for today. My dogs puppy teeth were still present with her adult teeth. Dr. La Paz looked her over and noticed there were three additional teeth we didnt even realize. He actually squeezed her in and sent her home today. Staff was great. Really happy with our experience thus far.

I love Lecanto Vet! I have never felt more comfortable with a veterinarian (or veterinarians, since Ive met with a couple of them) They really are the best. Other places have made me feel stupid for not knowing exactly what is wrong with my pet, or have broken the worst news with no tact or sympathy. But even with my problem child with all her skin problems and bladder issues, they have never made me feel bad. They are so helpful and willing to give as much advice as you would need. I dont know what those other people are talking about. You wont find a better place to take your beloved pets. The whole staff is amazing. They really love what they do and it shows!

I took my boxer pup to Lecanto Vet Hospital after my she was accidently hit by a car, which resulted in road rash and several lacerations to her left hind leg. I just wanted her to be okay and although I quickly explained my tight financial situation, without hesitation, they immediately went to work. With a fairly minimal cost, considering it was emergency visit, we were in and out in about an hour! I am amazed at their level of care and compassion for my pup and consideration of cost. I will gladly continue to bring my pets here in the future!! Thank you all so much for fixing my fur baby, you all are amazing ;)

I love this office. When I had a puppy come down with everything under the sun all at once the day after I got her, they were quick to respond, got her in as fast as they could and treated her. They let me do a payment plan when the bill got high because she had to stay a night. Thanks to the staff their my puppy survived parvo. They also are my cats vet and she is really picky when it comes to people and likes all three vets! These people truly care. I have been using Dr. Phillips since before he moved onto his practice. Ignore the bad reviews, these people are awesome and are willing to work with you.
