You must read this before going in. I have an English bulldog with skin problems, I have seen 3 vets in south FL 1 in Tallahassee and one in Tampa at Circle of life. One of the vets in south fl is a skin specialist they cost me about $2000 to get my puppy tested and create a serum for a shot to help with her allergies. I have been controlling her allergies very well with the help of multiple vets as I have moved from city to city and I just had the craziest experience at Circle of Life. I started going to circle of life about 8 months ago and have brought my English in about 3 times, 1 for a yearly and twice to go over her skin issues, one of those times was because I ran out of medication and she broke out. This has happened before so I called and let them know I was coming in and I though she would need a steroid shot, some more antibiotics and anything else they could suggest (Ive done this a couple times). I went in and Dr. Michele agreed with me, took care of her, asked me my plan to keep her healthy, AGREED with it and sent me on my way. She is much better now but they refuse to let me get more antibiotics unless I see Dr. Laura now (they want more of my money) after Dr. Michele who works in the same office just saw her and we talked about long term maintenance which included keeping her on simplicef (the antibiotic). I spoke with them and told them I have seen 5 vets including one from their office that all told me the same thing. I also explained that the only reason she broke out was because of my laziness in allowing myself to run out of her medication. She is good now, this has happened before, it will happen again, but shes good I just need her medication. They wont give it to me unless I PAY AGAIN for another vet in the same office to see her and tell me the same thing "lets start her at 100mg a day, then go 50mg a day or 100mg every other day, if she is good on that maybe we get her to 50mg every other day or 100mg twice a week, you just need to monitor her closely." I told them it seems crazy to get a 6th opinion especially considering 1 opinion is from a vet that works for you 1 is from a skin specialist and ALL 5 previously told me the same exact thing. If I was having brain surgery and 5 respected independent docs all gave me the same suggested treatment I would be good with that, but you need to give my puppy who is perfectly healthy a 6th opinion including the fact that one was from a partner at your practice. COME ON!!!! They lost my patronage, I have no problem spending money on my dogs and I do ($300 a month in special food, $100 a month in pills, however many visits they need, etc....) but I will not be ripped off because you are GREEDY and want to make more money off someone who you see spends an exorbitant amount of money on keeping their dogs healthy.

I have gone to Circle of Life Animal Hospital with Dr Palma for over 8 years now. First for my cat and now for my little Boston Terrier. Dr Palma and her staff are the most knowledgeable, kind, and caring professionals that I have ever been to. I wouldnt trust my animals with anyone else but them. I have been to several other veterinarian offices before, as I have lived out of state. All of them paled in comparison to Dr Palma and Circle of Life. It wasnt until I moved back to Florida and started bringing my little Boston in to Dr Palma that she started making a ton of progress in her recovery from knee surgery. Dr Palma knew just what to do and her recovery plan helped my dog with the healing process tremendously and eased her pain, as well as, my worries. Dr Palma and her staff were the only ones that showed genuine caring and had the knowledge and expertise to help my Boston. All the other veterinarian offices that I had been too after my dogs surgery didnt know what to do, they just said it would get better over time even though it wasnt. I am so thankful to Dr. Palma for helping my little Boston when no one else could, as she means the world to me. I dont know what the other reviewer is talking about either with getting a prescription without going in? Her review makes no sense. Like I said, Circle of Life is the best office I have ever been to and I wouldnt trust my furry loved ones with anyone else!

What an amazing hospital filled with caring, intelligent people. Dr. Palma is both compassionate and skilled at every aspect of her job and the other doctors i have worked with are just as thoughtful, intelligent and passionate about their work as well. The staff have been there for years and we wouldnt pick another office for care of our furry family ever. My family has been going there for quite some time. She now treats my dog who has a chronic condition and they are always wonderful. They are also right across the street from an emergency clinic that can be used in conjunction with Circle of life if needed. I recently had to do this with my little dog and was apprehensive at first but they put my fears at ease with how much they worked together. I recommend Circle of Life for everything from a check up to an injury, to an ongoing disease. You will never find a better staff or vet.

We have been taking our pet cats there for quite some time. They are very professional, offering options for pet care and expressing true interest in the health of their patients. I have posted some photos, a couple after hours so I dont violate anyones privacy. The staff have posted a few important messages for pet owners, and I photographed them. If you own a pet, please take the time to read them. If you want peace of mind when you visit a veterinarian, this is the place for you! Three more photos posted today, 07-18.

Dr. Palma and the entire staff of circle of life animal hospital have been caring for my pets for many years. Whether they are welcoming a new member to our family of 4 leggeds, or helping us through a bittersweet farewell to an old friend, I know and feel comforted in the fact that my babies are always in the most capable, loving, thorough, absolute best hands possible! I would never take my beloved babies anywhere else.. Thank you for all you do! Rich, Cindy, Baby, Duke and introducing... Tipsy Adam

I have used Dr. Palma for 8+ years now and absolutely love her. She is always attentive, patient, loving, and very kind to my little Bichon. Im not sure what the other reviewer was referring to (and whether or not its against the law for a doctor to write a prescription when he/she has not seen the patient?), but I can tell you that Dr. Palma and her staff are nothing but kind, sweet people with the care and comfort of the pet as their most important thing.

I have an English Bulldog and Dr. Palma has been taking care of him for many years. Thanks to her knowledge on chronic skin allergies and the individualized maintenance plan she made for my dog, he now has his normal life back again! I cant thank her enough for the time she took with us. I learned alot about long term control for skin infections in Bulldogs; he continues to look great! Keep up the good work Dr. Palma!
