We took my 8 year old cat to the ER on 8/25/16 because she was struggling to breath, not moving, and drooling. They wanted us to pay over $1800 for some blood tests, an x-ray, and oxygen. I told the vet (Dr. Katherine Brammer) that its a lot of money for tests that she said wont give us a diagnosis. Being a military family, we just do not make that kind of money. After the x-ray the vet came in and said it doesnt look good, her heart is enlarged and there is a scatter on the lungs. She said since I didnt have the $1800 to hand over, I should just put her down. She said its either heart disease or asthma and she MIGHT have a year or two of life, its just best to euthanize at this point. I told her that I am not killing my cat. I allowed her to keep my cat over night on oxygen until I can take her to another vet. That cost $1200. I took her to another vet the next day, and he could not believe that they tried to put my cat down. He did not see any problem with her heart, and the blood tests they did confirm that it is healthy. He believes that she has bronchitis from the stress of the move we just made across the US. With antibiotics and prednisolone she is on her way to a full recovery. I cannot believe that a vet, who should love animals, tried to kill my cat over money. Since then, I have spoken with Madeline. She pretended to be surprised by the accusations, and then never called me back as promised. I kept calling for almost a week, she told me that they will not be doing anything to remedy the situation. Do not take your pets here, they will just murder them if you cant afford their ridiculous prices.

We had to take my cat Jazzy here and I was so terrified I was going to lose her. The entire staff made us feel welcomed. I felt like jazzy was in great hands. They loved her and told us stories of their own pets. It made the experience so welcoming especially since I was a blubbering mess the first day. They helped us try to find cost effective options since we are both just starting out in Tampa. The doctor even cut up the medicine we have to give her and demonstrated how to give her a pill. With any emergencies in the future we will come here. I appreciate the staff so much for what they did for all of us.

They always are ready to help. I had one of my fur babies have an overdose and they were quick to diagnose and seek treatment. They were a little too expensive, but they said because our baby wasnt in critical condition that we can take her to out vets

This place will take in hurt animals and no cost to you. I found an injured turtle and they took him in. So thankful for places like this! Thank you Blue Pearl!
