Id like to address some of the comments on some other reviews along with my review. First the "God complex" comment, Dr. Leonardi is a great person however he does from time to time have a less than pleasant mood to him. He at times can sound as if he has a "God" complex however he is one of very few who knows his information like no one else I have seen in the field and believe me I have seen tons of dermatologists. He DOES become extremely focused in a solution to his patients issues and he sometimes gets so focused his bedside manner isnt stellar however I would rather him have a less than perfect attitude for getting a doctor who knows what he is talking about and he deserves it because I have seen him work extremely hard for his patients. He will research things to the end of the earth if it will help one of his patients. He does have some wonderfully pleasant moods as well. My husband and my young son and he was sweet as could be with my son. I recommend him to anyone and I let them know that he may not be your bestie but he knows his work and has busted his a$$ to do it. His staff are amazing as well and rarely do you see the full time staff leave so obviously it cant be that horrendous if they stay. Second yes many times he is behind however if you have seen the work ups he does on his patients as well as taking the time to resolve problems right then instead of making you return days or weeks later which puts him behind also another item in my opinion out weighs the negative. So yes he isnt jolly 24/7 often times you can tell it is because he is thinking about someones case and his options to make their life easier. I know this for a fact because my husband has severe plaque psoriasis about 95% of his body which is one of Dr Leonardis worst cases. Before going to him my husbands previous dermatologist had tried literally everything she could for him. However my husband would suffer in jeans and long sleeves in the hottest point of summer to hid and contact his skin. Our bed was vacuumed DAILY due to skin flaking. Winter his skin would crack so bad that he would be bleeding from movinf around. Now my husband has CLEAR skin maybe once a month or so he would get something that looks like a pimple and he would apply the ointment the Dr prescribed and it would go away. HE IS WORTH every negative someone can state because he knows his stuff. He is amazing!

Wow, lots of negative reviews here so Im throwing my five star rating and life-changing experience into the ring. I have severe chronic psoriasis and was sent to Leonardi after two different dermatologists exhausted all their resources and ran out of options for me. I was a miserable soul, covered almost head-to-toe with red plaques and flakes when I showed up in his office and his declaration that he would clear my skin one day gave me hope that I would one day get back to wearing things most people take for granted like shorts, dresses and bathing suits. He spent the next few years working relentlessly to clear my skin and he finally did it. He really is the expert on psoriasis and I believe he sees it as his mission to give psoriasis sufferers clear skin and a normal life in which people dont look at them like lepers. He may not have the best bedside manner but he gets the job done (hes actually very nice to me and I adore him but our rapport could be the result of me being one of his most difficult cases. I believe he loves a challenge.). Perhaps if youre just looking for someone to check out a mole or seeking some kind of cosmetic procedure he may not be your guy. But if youre looking for psoriasis solutions then he comes with my highest recommendation.

I have often worked closely with Dr. Leonardi, and many other dermatologists, in a professional capacity for over 10 years. In my personal opinion, he is a brilliant physician-scientist who has consistently been among the most vocal, sincere advocates of compassion for patients. He works tirelessly in their interests, and his knowledge of his field is unsurpassed. His office environment has always impressed me as a reflection of his values: He invests himself more in excellent patient care than in ambiance, decor, his personal benefit, etc. Also, I have never seen Dr Leonardi compromise his integrity for any reason. Furthermore, I believe he prioritizes honest and direct communication over softer - but perhaps less clear - diplomatic language. Sometimes, a choice between the two is necessary and important. Which do you value more? As such, his emphasis on honesty and directness should not be interpreted as representing a lack of compassion, but rather as a true reflection of it. Overall, I consider only a relatively small number of dermatologists around the world to be his peers. For these reasons, and more, my respect for Dr Leonardi is immense. If you value his qualities in a physician, I sincerely hope that yours will be, too.

Arrogant, Abusive attitude.I feel harassed so bad every time I go there and today is the last day I will go! He called me "Incredible B***" after he shut the door (well....I heard you!) He kept asking me "What medicine do you use?" after I told him MANY TIMES "I do not know. I have used the one you gave me." Craig: "You should know what medicine you use" I:" I told you many times I do not know how to pronounce it because I am not American" Craig"You understand what I am saying so why you do not know your medicine?" I:"I do not know. It starts C...You prescribed it. Could you look it up?" Craig: "You SHOULD know what cream you use!" Nurse told me after he cursed me on the hall way sometime pharmacy made mistakes and gave the patient wrong medicine. That is why he keeps asking. Well...I told him MANY TIMES I do not know and he insulted me. I am YOUR CLIENT WHO PAYS YOUR SALARY. Please retire until the more victim like me and other reviewers increased. You do not deserve to be a doctor.

Terrible attitude, rude, arrogant, condescending, unwilling to answer questions, contrary and argumentative. Saw him several times over about two years because the other doctor in this practice left, I really liked Dr. Michael Heffernan. I stayed with this office because of a convenient location. From the first appointment with Dr. Leonardi, he was rude, irritated that I had a few questions, often interrupted me and told me to listen to him because he was the doctor. During the recent last appointment, he was exceptionally arrogant because I questioned misinformation given to me by his staff. I was told that it was a Missouri State law that the doctor had to see me in his office at least once a year regardless of having any symptoms. After research, this law only applies to cases involving controlled substances. He told me to find another doctor. Im delighted to oblige.

Bad attitude. I went to Dr. Leonardi after waiting a month for his appointment on a few skin issues that ive had since 4 years ago. His attitude to explain further than : "this is how medicine works" is unnacpetable, he didnt answer ONE of any of my simple questions, he was ona hurry to leave. Im trying to look at the facts: 1)His medical answer for all my problems [4] was: Inflamation... my question, of what? why it happens? He refused to answer any of that.. he repeted every time: I dont know. Whatever I have can be easy to treat and if thats the case Im fine with that, BUT as a professional I know also that we (doctors, architects, whatever) have the responsability of deliver a service with fullsatisfaction to our clients/patients. I dont recommend Dr. Leonardi Craig, if any questions with my review feel free to contact.
