We have lived in Orlando for 10 years. We already had pets when moving to Orlando and had to find a vet. We tried multiple vets through recommendations and reviews online however they all just seemed to fall short of our expectations. My mom also moved to this area with her dog and we all eventually started going to the same vet on colonial that we did like however the office was lacking in efficiency and their pricing was astronomical. Unfortunately as the pets aged as with any pet we had to put them to rest and after a year or so we just recently decided to adopt 2 puppies. This time we wanted to be more proactive in finding a vet so we would be set up and prepared once we brought them home. We searched reviews of approx. 10 vets in a 5 mile radius of our home and then narrowed it down to 5 and then personally went and spoke with each office to get a feel for the staff, the facility, the pricing and just the overall experience. Considering we did not make an appt but just walked in and asked questions 2 of the 5 were displeased and acted as if we were a bother although the waiting rooms were empty. The other 2 were ok but when we went to Winter Park Vet Hospital on Lee Rd it was awesome from the second we walked in the door and it has been ever since. We have been there often as we now have 2 great dane puppies. Every single encounter with every single person has been fantastic. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about this place. I would never go anywhere else. Our puppies arent even nervous to go to the vet and that speaks volumes! Dr. Janosco is amazing but I have heard all the other vets there are as well! You wont be disappointed.

My dog got fleas at a hotel we were staying at right down the road. We tried to give her a flea bath and everything but she was infected again in no time. I came home one evening and it had gotten so bad that she had pulled clumps of her fur out from scratching so hard and was bleeding. The next morning, I immediately took her to the Winter Park Veterinary Hospital as a walk-in. They were very nice about my walking in without an appointment and said the wait might be a little longer but they would get me in between appointments. Completely understandable. It was much faster than I thought it would be. I was in within 20 minutes or less. The vets assistant was very sweet and took very good care of my puppy and was able to thoroughly answer all my questions. If she wasnt sure of something, she always double checked. The doctor was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable and I fell like my dog was in good hands. They prescribed all the right medications and we went ahead and got her yearly shots while we were at it. You could tell they really care about your pets health. Within a day, my puppy stopped scratching and started healing. It was great! I just received a follow-up call from the doctor who was calling to give me the results of her blood tests (which were all normal) and my interaction with her made me feel like I should leave a quick review. If you have pet needs, do not hesitate to bring them to Winter Park Veterinary Hospital. Everyone I met there was professional and kind and I left feeling like my dog got the best care she could get.

Winter Park Veterinary Hospital is a First Class Operation. I trust the life and well being of my pet/child Lucky to the staff. I have been to other facilities in the area and the experiences I have had between other facilities and WPH is like night and day. I trust not only their staff at the Veterinary facility but also their Day Care Operation and overnight Kennels as well. I have first hand experience with all of their operations and highly recommend! When I first heard about this facility from a long time friend who has had all of her pets at this facility I still did research. Finding other reviews the only thing I noticed was some reviews mentioned slightly higher prices. Would you want to give the best opportunities for health and sometimes survival for your own child? Of course and this facility is well staffed to accommodate any aspect of your pets care and that is why I have taken the time to write a review so that anyone having a question about difference of price..the difference is not even a few dollars more and the amount of service and care from this staff is worth ten times that. Relieve your worries, this is the very best in Orlando!

I took my guinea pig here to recieve attention for a light URI twice, and Dr Delaney prescribed two types of antibiotics. The first time she prescribed TMS, which I am being told now is focused on skin and urinary track infections. The second trip, as he seemed to be still having a slight sneeze (wonder why) she prescribed azithromycin, and a antihistamine which we gave two to three times and gave our guinea pig diarrhea.. We called the vet returning a previous call, and they never got back to us. The diarrhea worsened a week later and they had the audacity to charge us for a problem they themselves created. All the while making excuses. On getting a second opinion, we learned that azithromycin is one of the harshest antibiotics and is meant to treat pneumonia and other as a last resort. Not a slight sneeze! Do not take your guinea pig or exotic pets here. It is clear they have no idea what they are doing, and then charge you for their failures. Beyond that, their services are simply overpriced, especially if they fail to properly diagnose and medicate the true issues instead of padding out visits to make more money off of you.

I was referred to this hospital from the Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Casselberry, FL on 5/15/2017. My 11 year old german shepherd (Jasmine) was very ill, she had spent the weekend in the ER and needed to be transferred to a fully functional Vet Office. I cant say enough positive things about this staff and Dr. Newman. I have worked with many vets and I have never found a staff that cares as much or a doctor who is as passionate and compassionate about animals and their humans as Dr. Newman is. Although, I know there are dozens of animals being treated there daily, Dr. Newman made me feel like Jasmine was his only patient that day and had his full attention. He tried everything, but I unfortunately had to make the hardest decision for me, but best for my girl. Dr. Newman was with me through the whole process and even sent a beautiful card afterwards. The support staff handled Jasmines end of life care with grace and professionalism. I would recommend Dr. Newman and the team to any pet and their parents. I will be transferring my other dogs to his care going forward.

After a bad experience with another vet, a friend suggested I bring my sick cat to Winter Park Vet and Im glad I did! I called the office and was able to get a same day appointment for Finley. We saw Dr Newman while we were there. The office staff called the former vet and had them fax Finleys records over before we arrived so Dr Newman could review his treatments and labs. Once we arrived, we were taken straight back and I was able to stay with him entire time we were there. Unfortunately my Finley died a week later but Im thankful Dr Newman gave me one more week with him. I brought him in to be cremated and was called a few days later to pick up his remains and was given a wonderful paw print keepsake. Fast forward two months later, Finleys sister Penelope started not acting like herself and wasnt eating or drinking. I made an appointment for her to see Dr Newman and once again was blown away by the care and attention we received. Penelope is now happy and healthy and loving being center of attention! Im so happy to have Winter Park Vet!
