Our two four legged kids, Sassy and Bentley have a new lease on life thanks to Dr. Carol. The change was noticeable within only 2 weeks of our initial visit. Our pups didn’t appear over weight to us, just a little “thick” but Dr. Carol clearly let us know that bringing them both to a healthier weight would do wonders for both of them. Our older guy, Bentley is 9 years old and was starting to have some dementia type symptoms. He was standing and just staring off into space and would go out and tinkle on the driveway rather than go to the grass, he just wasn’t our same vibrant and playful boy - he seemed distant and sad. Bentley weighed around 100 pounds at our initial visit and is now a healthy 87 pounds. Dr. Carol had us change his diet (I felt horrible as I thought the raw diet and grain free kibble we were feeding were quality, I was so wrong). Their coats should have been an indicator now that I think about it. They were always getting dander shortly after bathing them, which I did regularly. Now that we are feeding a true healthy diet and one that accommodates each dog: Sassy was having some stomach upset on raw so we feed her cooked chicken and Bentley remains on the raw Stella and Chewy’s along with added veggies and in addition to Dr. Carol’s Health and Wellness AM and PM Complex. They now have mental clarity, their coats are clean and dander free and they are SO soft! In fact our family couldn’t stop commenting on how silky Bentley felt when they were petting him this past Christmas Eve. I shared with them our story and they got to see what we are feeding them when it came to the dog’s dinner time – they were amazed! And this is the first time ever, that Sassy has a waist! She has lost around 8 pounds. Having a pet with a healthy weight, just like us, makes such a difference. Dr. Carol and Halle, her daughter and wonderful assistant, make you feel welcome and are always happy to answer your questions when you are at the office. Dr. Carol will also call to follow up and see how things are going at home and will answer any questions you have. I am very proactive in our dog’s health and wellness – kind of a passion of mine and Dr. Carol has never made me feel like I am overstepping my boundaries with my questions or concerns. In fact she actually works with me and has made me feel more a part of our pups “wellness team” which is such a blessing to me. I don’t want to leave out this very important part: Bentley started having some issues with increased water consumption and with that he became a frequent flyer to having to go out every other hour. This made for some very rough nights. But yet, he kept testing negative for a urinary tract infection and his blood work came back perfect too. Dr. Carol went above and beyond to look into all the possibilities of why this was happening and did in fact find the problem. She is a stone turner and we are so blessed to have her in our back yard! Thank you Dr. Carol for all you do for us and our pets – we know we are always in the best of hands. Mary Z.

Dr. Carol gave me back my cat. Snickers is 14-1/2 years old, and had been declining for the past several years. His weight dropped from a healthy 7 lbs. 9 oz. to just a little over 4-1/2 lbs.during that time. We tried all the remedies suggested by our "regular" vet, with no success. I had resigned myself to the fact that Snickers probably would not live to see Christmas 2014. I saw an article in our local newspaper about Dr. Carol and decided to give her one last try. The reviews were glowing - almost too good to be true. My husband, the ultimate skeptic, and an engineer, only recognizes the "hard" sciences. After I made the appointment, he referred to her as a shrink" and the medicine she practices as "voodoo". I have to admit I was somewhat skeptical myself, but her practice caters to elderly pets, so I thought it was worth a try. Dr. Carol, and her kind and conscientious staff, took over an hour to thoroughly exam Snickers and pour over the vet records and test results I brought with me. Her treatment plan consisted of fluid therapy (Snickers was severely dehydrated) and diet - which I could easily buy at any grocery store (chicken, eggs and baby food). Although she sells specially formulated pet foods, and was generous with samples, she did not push me to buy these. She also recommended several of her own supplements, but again, did not twist my arm to buy them. Snickers is a very special cat, so I was happy to include the supplements in his treatment plan. She even showed me a trick to give medicine to a cat, which has been most helpful. After only three short weeks of his new diet, supplements and fluid therapy, Snickers weighs 6 lbs., his fur is soft as silk and he is acting like a kitten. He chases our other cats and plays with the cat toys. I cant remember the last time I saw him do that. He is eating very well and not vomiting (which used to be a daily occurrence). In short, he got his health, and his life, back. I cant praise Dr. Carol highly enough. She is also available by email to her clients at all times. If you have an elderly pet that is not responding to traditional western medicine (which she also practices), you owe it to yourself and your pet to make an appointment at the Chagrin Falls Vet Center. You wont be disappointed.

I would like to take the time to let people know of the wonderful experience my wife and I had at Doctor Carols office. I must say I was and little skeptical of a non traditional vet but since Dr. carol is DVM it may be worth a try. My cat Bella was recently at are regular vet for UTI which may have occurred from higher kidney levels. Thank god she is not in renal failure and I want to keep it that way. The vet we typically use said give her special KD food and sent us on our way. When I got home I was very upset that she could have the start of kidney disease. We tried the special diet but she will not eat it, so I began researching the disease and found million and one products out there and I was so confused on what to try. So I started researching holistical vets in Ohio and found Dr. Carol. She is maybe an hour drive so I didnt want my pregnant wife to drive an hour alone and I work six days a week so Dr. Carol made us an appointment on Sunday. Yes Sunday and no emergency fee was going to be charged for that. I was actually amazed. So we made the trip and Doctor Carol spend several hours with us. She went over every possible thing In her food she likes. Went over single item of her blood test and there was a lot. Also made us understand what things meant and not in doctor talk. Dr. Carol knows what she is doing. She even showed my wife homemade recipes to cook for my little girl that will be easier on her kidneys. Then she showed us what to look for in canned foods that if we have to feed to her what to look for and why. I brought in ten different supplements I ordered and she went over every ingredient in each and told us what could be helpful and what will not. Now dont get me wrong the vet we typically use I like and care (I think) are good but typically go over things in minutes and send us on our way left wondering is there anything we can do. Really dont want to tell Dr. Carol this but I was expecting this huge bill after all her time with us and actually it was a fraction of what our usual vet charges. We left our appointment amazed by her knowledge and her passion. We will see her again and we do recommend. Sincerely John S.
