Terrible experience. I usually dont reviiew things but felt compelled so no one else suffers like we did. Instead of using experience and common sense, the vet at Banfield insisted on running multiple tests on our dog for an obvious allergy problem. They prescribed us medication and shampoo that didnt work. Our poor dog suffered for two more weeks- he didnt get better but progressed worse. They charged us twice as much as a country doctor in Tennessee did when on vacation and he had the same problem But the country doctor actually helped him. We called Banfield back complaining Sam was not getting better, and the CSR said someone would get back to us. Noone ever did, we had to call again a week later, all the while Sam cant stop scratching. Then when we told them to just give him steroids and antibiotics like the country doctor; the vet tried to get us to pay for yet another test, a $100 test mind you. We ended up going to Leslie and they, without having to test him, diagnosed it was allergies and gave him steroids and antibiotics. They also gave us a new shampoo that was twice the size of the bottle Banfield gave us, and that they said was a better shampoo, and it was only a dollar more than the other one. It is now 3 days later and Sam is doing great. So to sum it up I think Banfield needs to get some common sense, and get their head straight. This is a corporate place and they probably are told how to vet from some suit in New York. Test, test and more tests. All on our dime.

I am so OVER this place! I have 3 animals and have taken my pets to other locations in the past but this one has just ruined my experience! The person that answers the phone thought he had the knowledge and expertise to tell me that it was okay that I start giving steroids to my pet again; however, when I came back in to speak to the ACTUAL DOCTOR, she said that he was completely in the wrong and that it was not a good idea to do that. Steroids are not something to just mess around with. I took my cat there to be "put down" and they did not explain the process that well to me. I was sitting in the room consoling my cat because I thought she was about to die at any moment but they came back into the room to "handle that". I call them for a question and they claim that they will call me back but they dont so I have to call SEVERAL times to get my question answered. Last but not least, the nurse was very rude to me IN PERSON during an appointment AND over the phone (bc yes, go figure, I had to call AGAIN bc they do not do their job). She interrupted me and was very unprofessional. I cannot wait to cancel my pet insurance and find a new vet!

Scheduled a Spay procedure to be done on my dog. Spoke with a woman on the phone three days prior to my visit. I was told $250.00. Went in to take the dog, and was getting ready to pay and it was nearly $420.00. I asked why the price jumped up so much, and I was told that the woman I spoke with had no idea what she was talking about. The cashier working on site was very friendly to me, but there is no reason they should charge that much more than competitors in the area. Their services are not worth the extra amount. This isnt how I conduct business, and I would not recommend them to anyone in the future. New Ebenezer Animal Hospital in Rock Hill will do it for $280.00 and they are a lot more sought after in Rock Hill if your looking for a good Vet for your pet.

I was scheduled a 3:15 appointment on Sunday 2/21/16. They did note that I was double booked and it could be possible that I get charged $50 for after hours care. I thought about this and said "ok" even though that it seemed unlikely since all my dog had was a damaged toenail. Unfortunately I sat there till 4:30 till we were seen. It took them about 45min for the procedure to remove the nail and have him back to me. I was still charged the $50 because they went past 5pm. This is ridiculous and it is safe to say I will not be going back to a Banfield. $450 to remove a toenail. I was charged 450 twice as well!! Another issue I get to deal with, thanks Banfield.

Our cat had a stroke in their care, no one noticed, or even mentioned it. They always push for drop off appointments, and our cat is pretty high strung. We had a four month old at home so thought it would be okay. They called us to ask if they could sedate our cat because they couldnt examine him. We picked him up and they said all was well. Our cat was disoriented for days, vomited. He lost 80% of his body weight and is now deaf. When we took him in, they said "we dont see anything wrong." I will never trust them with another pet. Sure they have great hours, but thats about all they have. Extremely sad and disappointed.

This location has been a nightmare to deal with. We just moved to the area but have to continue to drive to our former location, 30 min away because they dont give us any issues. The Rock Hill location demands we book an appointment every time we need a medication filled. The last time we filled it took them 30 min to simply print out a prescription. Afterwards I realized they gave us the wrong dosage. Our former location fills our prescriptions no problem the day of. It should never be this much of a hassle to give your dog vital care. They make it very stressful and difficult when it should be the opposite.

I have to say Ive been shocked. Growing up we had one vet my whole life and he knew us personally, and our dogs. I fully expected a assembly line type deal that wasnt at all personal, happily, thats not been the case. We signed our pup up for the wellness plan since he requires all the shots and what not. The staff here are very friendly, and go out of the way to make sure you are taken care of. The staff all remember my partner, myself, and our German Shepherd. The vet and her assistant are very good about following up after a visit on any problems that might have been noted.

Ive been taking my Diesel here since I got him @ 6 weeks old. He is a Blue Pitbull and we havent had any negative feelings or actions toward him. I havent had any problems from any employees here. Everyone is helpful and friendly. He was neutered and microchipped yesterday and the cost was actually cheaper than what I was informed that morning. They check up on him to make sure he is ok and comfortable. He is on the higher wellness plan which covers damn near everything. Dr Cooley is our absolute fave!

The clinic is convenient to me, I have to doggies and one is allergic to almost everything. The vets at this place are very caring, after any sick visit I get a follow up call to check on my boys. The staff knows me and my husband and both our puppies. The only issue I have is when they are over booked and I have to wait but other that they are friendly and my dogs love the staff. I have the insurance since my first puppy its been almost 3 years.
