I have been seeing Dr. Helton for 16 years you could not ask for a better doctor.My husband started seeing him first and diagnosed him ,with something 10 other doctors couldnt find, what was was wrong with him. My family and husbands family all go to Dr. Helton over 8 of us. I have recommended so many other people to him and never heard anything negative about him or his staff , but I dont go there to socialize with the staff. They have always done there job. I go about every 3-4 months. One of his staff to my knowledge had cancer and was very sick,but she still came to work. I would hope this isnt who you are speaking about. Thanks to Dr Helton my husband is alive and he is The top doctor in Tennessee.

Dr. Helton and his physican assistants are knowledgable and caring. However, the office staff is extremely rude! They always keep the glass at the counter shut. I timed how long 1 person stood infront of the window before it was opened with two staff members sitting on the other side of it the whole time. The lady waited 20 minutes and there were two other patients behind her for about 10 minutes. The ladies in the office act as if you are a problem that they have to deal with and dread seeing you on the other side of their window. I wish they would not show up to work so Dr. Helton would hire a friendlier staff. I am now looking for a new primary care doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Heltons for about 15 years or more. He has always been wonderful. The staff has changed over the years. Some not so good, but the doctor has always been top notch. The best and most attentive doctor Ive ever gone to. I have followed him from Smyrna to Nashville and back to Rutherford County in Murfreesboro. I hope to continue to have him as my doctor for as long as Ill need one. I truly thank him for all the care he has given to me and my family. I would and have recommended him to many. All of my recommendations share my opinion of this wonderful doctor.

The front office staff is very rude! The last time I had an appointment, the glass in the front office window was closed so I had to stand and wait for someone to decide that they wanted to open it and help me. This made me feel like I was a inconvience for the staff member and not welcome there. And dont expect a smile from them, what I received was a huff when they couldnt find my file(because that was my fault). If you are looking for compassion and friendliness, especially when you arent feeling well, do NOT go to Dr. Heltons office. I will be looking for a new PCP for future care.

Dr Helton is a good doctor and very nice and caring. The office staff on the other hand are not the most welcoming nor friendliest. Also some of the medical assistants and nurses that take your vitals are also not the most friendliest. I as well as my spouse and 4 other colleagues have not been back to that office in over a year because of the rude staff. Hopefully Dr. Helton will see some of the negative reviews on this site as well as a few others and rid himself of the unfriendly staff that know nothing about good professional customer service and good "bedside manor".

Robert the PA is wonderful! His front office check in girls though are AWFUL. when you walk in they look at you but do not speak. not a smile, nothing. were not on the phone or anything. RUDE. oh and then after you have been there for a while they dont even notice you checked in and get missed. seems to me like a major clean up needs to take place. they are the only reasons I dread going in. other than that I would recommend EVERY one to go there but not with the rudeness the front office girls give. very unprofessional

Dr. Helton and his nursing staff are fantastic and caring! I have never had any issues with the office staff like others have mentioned. They are busy, but they have been efficient and nice whenever I was there. I no longer live in the Murfreesboro area, but I still travel to see Dr. Helton instead of seeking a different physician closer to me. He listens and pays attention to what I have to say and never treats me in a condescending manner. There is a lot to be said for a physician with that kind of caring!!

Dr. Helton has been my primary care provider for many years. He has always been attentive, compassionate and responsive in every way to my health care needs and those of my spouse. As RN, I value a provider who listense to and considers my input and takes time to address all of my concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Helton.
