Dr Dean Taylor is very personable. I have been taking horses to him for about 7 years now. Hes great with getting my horses in foal and is well known in UT for his reproduction success rates. He is the kind of guy who will stay overnight at the clinic to watch your sick horse. He goes above and beyond and has for me as well. One time I called him early morning on his day off because we had a foal that wasnt eating well. It was freezing temps and had been 5 hours since his birth. He told me to load them up and come in. He met me at the clinic it was 7 hrs since the horses birth at this point. He milked out the mare and tubed my foal. Never once reminding me it was his day off. He was kind as always and he saved my colt. I would highly recommended his clinic. As for a poster I saw earlier stating her horse with bad manners was ill treated I can say. Dean has helped me pull dead calves, breed unruly barely halter broke Mares(we eventually talked the ranch into selling those), and saved many horses from a bad bought of colic. He is great at keeping everyone safe and is a highly skilled veterinarian. This being said livestock are 8-10 times our size and people must teach them manners at home so the can be handled in public without force. Animals are like children their worst aspects will be brought to light when you take them in public! Dean Taylor is a great vet and a great person you will not be disappointed.

Took my filly here and she had been sedated and was being led to the vet chute she walked in and walled to far forward and was refusing to back up so the vet grabbed a broom and started hitting my horse in the face with a broom stick, and he hit her to many times to count and eared my horse, my horse had never been mistreated before and now she is ear shy and fussy about having her face touched, absolutely hates her face being touched, she used to run to me and want to be petted..... Now she puts her head clear up high where I can barely reach, I feel like there was a better way this could have been handled.
