I have read some of the other reviews today and have to start by saying I completely understand that you went through an unfavorable experience with Legacy Vet and really hate to hear it but feel like I should share my good experience with them for almost seven years now. I have been going to Legacy Vet since moving to Frisco. (I did try other places first and liked Legacy Vet the most.) My older Aussie died last year of a stroke and old age. My six year old Aussie still goes to Legacy Vet and when we make an appointment we only see Dr. Julius and have now seen the new doctor, Dr. Traxler. I completely trust Dr. Julius and when and if I have had an issues Dr. Julius always got involved to correct the situation. The few issues I have had was years ago with one employee, who is no longer there, and a grooming issue. Dr. Julius stepped in and addressed the issue and assured me it would be fixed and it was. They have taken excellent care of my four legged kids every time. I am very hands-on with the care of my dogs and usually have done a lot of research about a specific condition before seeing the doctor. I am armed with lots of questions and also some solutions which I feel is welcomed and encouraged by them. And I think they respect that. Now having said that, that doesnt mean you have to do what I do and certainly shouldnt be expected to have all the answers. And you should still expect to get the same excellent service that I receive from the front desk to the office visit. My six year old Jake is not use to being around kids and during one appointment Dr. Julius had his daughter in the exam room and I let him know immediately that he (my dog) wasnt use to kids so therefore not very receptive to them and Dr. Julius completely understood and asked his daughter to leave the room. Thus avoiding any adverse situation. So just speak up. They do listen. I do not use the boarding or the grooming services there as I have facilities that I really like for both and wont change that and when they ask why I dont use those services I simply tell them exactly what I just said. Maybe, try them again and ask for Dr. Julius and/or Dr. Traxler. I like them both but have the longer term relationship with Dr. Julius.

I dont normally write reviews, but I had such a bad experience at this veterinary clinic that I feel I have to warn people away for their pets safety. My family recently brought our dog in for a health certificate so we could put him on a plane with my mother, who was taking a trip. We say Brent Brewer, and at the end of the visit his vet tech bent down into our dogs ace with his arms open as if to rough-house with him. Our dog, who is 70 lbs, jumped to meet him. He ended up headbutting the vet tech and the vet tech cut his lip. Brewer immediately left the room with the vet tech and didnt return. After 10 mins of waiting one of the office girls came in and told us that our dog would have to go into quarantine for biting someone. My mother and I were outraged. Not only was she leaving in 5 days, but our dog was being accused of attacking a vet tech, who shouldve known better than to put his face close to an unfamiliar dog. At that point we never talked to or saw Brewer. We were treated as if we were terrible people, they called animal control and our dog was quarantined at their clinic. Initially, they wanted to charge us for the quarantine and after I had a few choice words with the office staff, I was told that the clinic would cover it. On the day of his release, they told me they gave him a rabies vacc. This dog has a 3 year vacc that he got last year. Meaning he;s current. First, I was furious because I called everyday of his quarantine to check on him and was never told they gave him any medical attention. I was also furious that they wanted to charge me nearly $100 for it. I told them I would not pay for it and after waiting for 20 mins while the office staff talked, I was told he did not get a rabies vacc and they would not charge me for it. At that point, I got my dog out of there ASAP. Long story short, due to the incompetence of the staff, our dog had to sit in quarantine, was possibly given a rabies vacc without our knowledge and we were treated very rudely by the "vet." Dont ever take your animals to Legacy Vet Hospital.

My dog is like my kid so I expect a great service for my baby so I have no problem spending money on my furry baby but it doesn’t mean I want to get robbed, over charged and all with attitude and horrible customer service. At Legacy Veterinary Clinic, they over charge you and mistreat you with no excuse. My dog’s check up exam and tests cost about 40% more at this facility…40 PERCENT!!! Of course my dog is old so I want to make sure he is ok so I paid it. The staff is extremely rude (specially Meagan?). While on the phone with her, she started talking to somebody at their office and laughing and kept asking me the same questions over and over because she wasn’t listening to me. While waiting at their waiting room, I asked one of the girls how long do we have to wait and I get a sarcastic answer “whenever the doctor is done and available”. Really? And you expect me to leave my dog with you? Think again. I just walked out and later on called and asked to speak with the doctor. I had to make several calls in order to get her on the phone. My dog needs to have a surgery to get a growth removed on his back. So we spoke with the doctor couple of times (in person and on the phone). The doctor informed us of what we can expect and she said somebody would be calling us back with the cost and schedule time. It’s been 2 weeks now and I haven’t heard back from anybody. What a joke! I have no problem to take my business some place else. I already have found another clinic that supersede my expectations and they are a lot of nicer, more cost efficient, and they are highly recommended by my friends. Would I recommend this company? Not ever

I was a veterinarian technician for many years, and have been to my fair share of Vet clinics. After moving from Arlington to Frisco I fumbled around trying to find a place for my furry friends. Finally I gave up on one vet clinic and came to Legacy. I should have been here sooner! The staff at the front desk is very sweet and helpful. I even had my long haired dachshund groomed and he came back looking fabulous, smelling wonderful, and the hair cut was exactly what I had wanted. Recently my long haired pup has been having some on-and-off skin issues and we have had to return to for care twice in the past 6 months. The veterinarians are lovely there and the vet techs are great too! (I love Dr. Kelly!) and they really take the time to explain everything to you. I didnt feel rushed, and I very much appreciated them answering my nerdy questions :) I have left clinics before only to smack my head and go shoot! I forgot to ask them something! This has not been the case at Legacy Veterinary Hospital! They always come back with an itemized list for the care before I agree to charges, and explain everything thoroughly. They never have an issue taking anything off at my request. Dr. Kelly also personally called me a few days later to check on my dog and give me a run-down on the blood work we got back from our other dog. I generally never board my animals because theyre like family! But if I ever do need to do so, I feel confident in the staff at Legacy to take care of my little fur balls.
