Ive been taking my dogs here since I moved back from Arizona in 2009. Ive been through the passing of two dogs, and an adoption of a new dog with this clinic. My most recent experience has really solidified my relationship with this vet office. Our newly adopted dog, Sadie, had a spay procedure (at the clinic where I adopted her). She broke out of her e-collar two days in a row and got to her incision site. It became infected so I took her to Meadowbrook. I had never been in to see Dr. Kristen, but she was the doctor available at the time I brought Sadie in. She was very personable, down to earth, and very caring. She fixed Sadie up and suggested I bring her in for "doggie daycare" so they could supervise her healing progress. It was a good thing I did, because she has ended up being a master at escaping her protective gear. The staff has been great and really catered to her needs to make sure she keeps away from her incision site and to keep her calm. I really appreciate the attentiveness theyve given us, and I really dont feel Ive overpayed. Thank you to Dr. Chastain, Dr. Kristen, and Dr. Devony, I appreciate all youve done for our family!

I have been going to this vet since they originally took over from Dr. Martin (who was wonderful and ran the Meadowbrook Animal Hospital) - the switch was ok at first, however their service and ethics have gotten progressively worse over the past few years. The astronomical charges that they guilt you into paying to perform a ridiculous battery of tests just to give antibiotics for an ear infection or a urinary tract infection is the main reason that we are switching vets. I pay less for my children even before insurance deductions. Their front office staff is laughable and obviously untrained. They have lost our boarding reservations three times now, and each time they act as if it is somehow it is our fault / that we are not telling the truth because I cant remember who specifically I spoke to in the summer to make reservations for Thanksgiving. I would NEVER recommend this vet to anyone! I really hope we find a new vet in McKinney that meets expectations... the bar is set low to beat out Meadowbrook.

I am very disappointed in my most recent experience with Chastain Medical Group (Meadowbrook). We took our dog Faye to see a doctor and were treated great when we first got there but once we were taken to the room we were left for 30 minutes unattended without seeing anyone!! 30 minutes. This is ridiculous and longer than I waited for both of my own doctors appointments today combined! We kindly said we were leaving and nobody seemed to care at all. The only reason we switched to them originally was because they are close to home, but that doesnt matter anymore. Im never one to complain or even write reviews as this is my first one ever... But I am truly disappointed in how everything was handled especially when we were leaving. I will likely switch vet clinics now thanks to this less than satisfactory experience.

Horrible service. Waited 45 min for an appointment. I couldnt wait any longer to have an exam for my two dogs new patient visit. Way to run your business and make a lasting impression on new patients. I wont be recommending this business to anyone who is interested in pet care. Go somewhere else. This place is old and smells. They completely ignore you. I dont usually write reviews but felt it was in everyones best interest to know that you wont get quality service here if they dont even treat new patients well. What makes you ever want to come back? Note to the vets that own this place. Consider having someone there to at least acknowledge people with appointments. I was told there were walk ins is why MY APPOINTMENT was pushed back and left me waiting. Sounds like a good way to lose customers.

I have to say, the staff and Veterinarians at the Meadow Brook location are PHENOMENAL. Theyre wonderful with my dog and lovely to deal with. That being said, theyre pricing scale doesnt "jibe". While office visits and boarding are priced right in line with other Vets, their medical procedures are outrageously high. I was billed $880 for anesthesia, deep scaling and teeth cleaning with one extraction and a leg x-ray for my 3-year old large breed dog. I thought that was a bit high until I called the Vet my parents use in Dallas (Dr. Paul Carroll) and found out that his practice - Midway Hollow - charges $410 for the exact same procedures! Im torn between anger at the inflated amount I paid and sadness because I wont be taking my "baby" back to this practice that treated her so lovingly.

My experience at Meadow brook Animal Hospital has always exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted warmly by the front office staff and made to feel like family. I have two dogs that are like children to me now that my own children have grown up and started their own families. I would not trust just anyone to provide care to my pets that are members of my family. Dr. Devony, Dr. Kristen and Dr. Sue along with their team of nurses have always put my concerns at ease knowing that they care very deeply for the animals that are entrusted to their care. I would not take my furry children anywhere besides Meadow Brook. Thank you so much for providing the most extraordinary care and making every visit special! Callie Britton

My experience was so wonderful for such a sad reason. We were new to this area and it was time to let our cat Rowdy cross to the Rainbow Bridge to be with his sister. He was deteriorating and was 14 years old. I called in the morning when the decision was made and they gave me an appt. that same afternoon. The reception staff was so kind and caring to me and Rowdy. It was such a sad time but all the staff and the doctor was just exceptionally kind making it less difficult. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone. When we decide to get another pet this will be their care center. Thank you to everyone there!!

Ive only been to Meadow Brook once, and based on that, I plan on coming here from now on because the staff is so friendly and really cares about your pets. I am on a tight budget, and they made it easier for me by printing estimates for several things that I wanted to do (example neuter surgery, as well as some other things) and I really appreciate that so I know what to expect financially. Their prices are comparable to other vets, not too expensive. Their treatment of your pets and you is very pleasant experience and their facility is nice and very clean. My dogs also enjoyed looking out the window in the exam room :)

I took my newly adopted dog to this clinic for a "complimentary" visit. I brought her adoption vaccination records to my scheduled appointment on July 12. I was not informed of any pending charges prior to checking out. In fact, I was charged for the same vacinnations that she already received. I was told that they could not be sure on the number of vials that the dog was giving previously even though the paperwork I provided showed the stickers from the vaccinations along with the dates. They should not have charged me for vaccinations that she did not need. I asked them for a refund and they declined.
