I took my dog there on a very slow Monday at midnight, after she started choking on a bone. Luckily, my boyfriend drove us there and helped me fill out the paperwork because I was too distraught and distracted by my baby choking to even remember what my address was. No one would even look at my dog that was struggling to breathe before I filled out forms and completed payment of $90. What if my dog had choked to death before all that? Luckily, she ended up vomiting a lot of the bone up right there and started breathing a lot better. Still, since we just paid the $90 and I was worried, we took her into a room and they had a look at her. The doctor didnt seem disinterested, but she did seem like she stopped worrying about my dog as soon as I told her it was an edible bone. "As long as it makes it to her stomach, shell be fine. Those treats are made to break down in dogs stomachs, thats what theyre designed to do." It made me feel better but it was still stuck in her throat so they took xrays and discussed options. What made me give this experience a poor rating is what happened next. After she JUST told me it would be fine in her stomach, she then suggests a $1,400 procedure to put my 11 year old dog under, push the bone down into her stomach, and then do SURGERY to remove it from her stomach. Why would you ever want to put an old dog through the stress of a surgery unless absolutely necessary? I was extremely upset and not in the right frame of mind, I wouldve done anything to save my baby but my boyfriend was able to think logically. He advised me that since she is breathing fine now, the surgery would probably be more life threatening to her than a bone that is breaking down as we speak. They gave her an anti-nausea shot and we took her home. Of course I said Id keep an eye on her and come straight back here if her condition changes. Before I left, I was still crying hysterically, and I asked for a personal, not a professional opinion. I said, "I know you cant actually tell me, but do you think shell be okay?" The doctor replied in a snippy, almost giddy tone, "I cant tell you," and walked away. Like she wasnt getting any more money, so she was done with me. It felt like she was enjoying it, she was so HAPPY to dismiss me, my boyfriend and I even heard her stifle a laugh. After she left and right before I was about to leave, the other woman at the desk said "She looks a lot better, just keep an eye on her" in a very soothing, kind tone. I am grateful for that. That and the anti-nausea shot are the only good things I got from this place. My baby was a lot better after we got home, she swallowed the piece on her own and now shes back to dancing and barking to wake me up in the morning. I dont regret going, I do think the anti-nausea shot helped, but the way they wanted to do surgery to remove an edible treat from her stomach made me question their practices.

I brought my dog in for treatment for complications with a recent diabetes diagnosis on July 26, 2013 at approximately 6:45 p.m. He was not stable when we arrived and required immediate fluids. Unfortunately, the clinic was understaffed and Dr. Welch, the only veterinarian on duty, recently sustained an injury in a car accident, so my dog had to wait in excess of an hour before the he was able to receive the fluids he needed. I asked repeatedly to stay with him, but I was told that I had to wait. When I was finally permitted to see him, he was panting heavily. I asked if he could have water, and again, I was told to I had to wait. He did not receive any treatment until the vets assistant/front desk personnel had time to "go over" my quote for $3,000. I quickly signed and asked to visit my dog to tell him goodnight. Again, I was told to wait. After an hour and a half, the assistant/front desk personnel returned to the waiting area and told me that I would not be able to tell my dog goodnight because the vet was in the middle of a procedure. I was told to come back. I asked when I would be able to see him, and I was told to call and someone would let me know if it was a good time to visit. At 9:05 p.m. I received a call from the clinic directing me to return because my dog was not doing well. When I arrived, the assistant/front desk personnel told me that I was not allowed to take my dog home. She further said that his death was "not imminent," but that he was not responding to treatment, so we should consider euthanasia. I asked to see my dog, and AGAIN, I was told to wait because the vet was in the middle of a procedure. Ten minutes later, I was invited back because my dogs breathing was slowing. By the time I was allowed back to be with my dog, his tongue was hanging out of his mouth and he was taking his last breath. He died alone, despite the fact that I was in the building begging to see him. This experience made a painful loss infinitely more difficult. If you value your pet, then I would recommend going elsewhere. The memory of my beloved dogs final day will be scarred in my memory forever.

Worst Place Ever! Unprofessional Money hungry! Long story short. I suspected my Dogo Argentino of heat stroke. My ac in car went out that summer, and we had been in the car driving from the other side of FTW. She would drink water and seemed barley conscious. We were on our way to Richardson. When I pulled over to look up Animal clinics. Thus place wasnt to far from where we were. I get there as fast I can. We walk in as you can imagine I am upset thinking my dog has had a stroke or something. The woman at the desk was very very rude and uninterested in my dogs well being. The only thing she wanted was 90.00 upfront. I explained to her that my roommate was bringing me my cash from the house. She was meeting me at clinic. That for them please to take Ariel in the back to be examined. She said not until you pay the 90.00 My roommate took almost an hour with weekend traffic to get to me. When she did I paid the front desk we went in the back. The vet was unprofessional and seemed uninterested in the symptoms that I was describing too her about my dog, and what had lead us to the clinic. She told me her weight and listened to heart beat. Anything else was 300.00 and up. All up front fees I paid 90.00 for her weight and heart beat. Well I didnt have that Cash on me The only thing I was thinking was My dog had better not pass away because they wouldnt treat her. The next morning I took her to her vet where she was given an IV fluids and a shot. She didnt have heat stroke, just dyhrdrayed and drained. If I Ever see that vet and women they would the desk. I will kick their @$$ They have no business working with animals. I couldnt believe the way we were treated for almighty Buck
