I have had nothing but excellent service from the staff and especially Dr. Hudson & Dr. Johnston, however I am very disappointed with them this week. My pet was prescribed an allergy medicine by her dermatologist and we get it refilled at our local vet. North Dallas has always charged us $27 for the refill and it was that price most recently as June 2014, however when I refilled it this past week the price was $88. I questioned the price and the receptionist stated she knew some prices went up but wasnt sure and she stated Gayle would contact me on Monday. Well Monday rolls around and no call until Tuesday when that same receptionist who took my concern called. She stated that she did confirm that the meds did increase. I proceeded to ask her why and she didnt know and instead of helping me or giving me an explanation she simply stated they would be more than happy to write a script so I get get the meds somewhere else. I did my research and Sams sells the same pills for roughly $44 and a discount on that if your a business member. I asked the receptionist why would Sams charge $44 and you charge $88 and she again had no answer. While I have no problem with a price increase as North Dallas does have a business to run, but charging me $61 extra is outrageous. The specialist who originally prescribed the medicine only charges $60. Like I mentioned earlier the service here is usually pretty good and the doctors are phenomenal. I did not like how they handled explaining the price increase and felt like they brushed my concern off. If they are charging high for me, a returning customer, what are they charging for their clients who dont go as often?

Weve lived in North Dallas for 30 years and have used several vets and vet hospitals in the area over the course of time. We began using North Dallas Veterinary exclusively over five years ago and would not consider going anywhere else in the city. Our previous long-term vet (still in business) thought nothing of running the bill up with countless tests to eliminate possible problems, including sending us to off-site facilities that charged enormous amounts for their services. Then, once care was established and the bill paid, there would always be a little something we "should have tried" that would send the charges soaring again. This has NEVER been an issue at NDV as the doctors discuss all possibilites before care is established and the charges have always been equal to the care given. Weve now lost two animals to disease while under the care of NDV and in both cases our pets were given excellent care, all questions were answered honestly and comepletely, and no amount of false hope was ever given. All after hours phone calls were answered with follow-up calls by the doctors and staff within 24 hours. It is rare, especially in this city, to find any service-related business where service is still the number one objective, but North Dallas Veterinary is certainly a prime example. Adding the on-site grooming was just another example of their willingness to provide the best care possible.

Great hospital but there other services suck. I always have issues with kennel and when I ask to speak to the supervisor or manager I am always told he is out sick ? Really ? This has happened the last 4 times. There grooming has gone downhill, before I could speak to the groomers and now when I drop my dogs off I am told that they do not come in till a later time but no one knows the exact time, I would like to see and meet the person who is grooming my dog, it seems the last few grooms on my dogs have been rushed by the looks of it. For the price I pay I shouldnt be able to point out what they missed. Love the hospital minus there kennel and grooming which needs improvement.

Today was our first visit to the office. I was so happy with our experience. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and very helpful. Dr. Hudson was the vet that saw our dog, Tommy. She was patient with my numerous questions and distractions (since I had my children with me). I had searched many different offices online and was hoping to find a vet office with boarding facilities that I was happy with. I am so glad that I went with North Dallas Veterinary hospital. I was also concerned about the price, adding a pet into our budget is difficult at this moment. They understood my concern and all costs were explained. I would highly recommend this office!

Let me preface this by stating that the medical care and great doctors here have never given us any issues. We will absolutely continue to bring our pets here for great medical care. However... I cannot understand why the groomer completely cut off my Brussels beard. We gave the groomer 2 pictures for each dog. One turned out fine while our little girl was completely wrong. We specifically asked them not to cut her beard. What did they do? They cut her beard almost completely off. I know that her hair will grow back and everything will be fine but the lack of attention to detail will make me consider a different groomer.

I started going to North Dallas Vet back in 90s. The vets were great. The vet techs were absolutely wonderful. The best thing was they were not expensive. Unfortunately since moving to their new location, office visits have gone to $52.00 per animal that does not include anything. Everything is extra. If you have more than one pet it can run into the 1000s very quickly. I want to give my pets the best care, but without putting me in the poor house. They do not give multiple animal discounts. Ill miss them but not the bills.

This is via Natasha Rosque, Owner of Social Pack Dogs -- My family and I have been taking our dogs here for well over 20 years. The best Vet, hands down! Dr. Ford and his team are wonderful! Very caring and attentive - great staff. I have sent many of my clients here and they have also been very pleased with the Veterinary care they have received here.

My chocolate lab goes to North Dallas vet. The place is always clean and the level of service is great. The check in process is efficient. From the desk clerk to the vet, I can tell they all really love and care about animals. They send me email reminders for my next visit and never have any issues with them faxing over documents.

I have come to this clinic for close to 15 years and will never go anywhere else. They are professional, take their time and compassionate. Excellent doctors. I have stayed with the two doctors I originally started with; however, on occasion have had to see a couple of the other docs and have been very pleased.

Great vet hospital! Dr Washatka and his team took wonderful care of our 2nd rescue after we adopted him. It took a bit of time to narrow down what all was wrong with our little guy and Dr Washatka took the time to find out what was wrong and how everything could be fixed. The boarding team is also amazing.

Very caring with our little patient. The vet was also very patient and informative with us! We have been to many vets in the area who were cheaper, but you get what you pay for. This place goes above and beyond. Worth every penny.
