I came to Northwood Animal Clinic after being at another veterinary clinic for a long time. I had been happy with my old vet clinic but their prices just seems to get higher and higher. Eventually, one of our dogs needed a small benign cyst removed from his skin on his leg (not dangerous but he kept messing with it and irritating it) and the old vet estimated the charges between $800-1200. No way. So I went to Northwood to get a second opinions because my parents have used them for decades now. Dr. Chase was extremely helpful, gave me all the choices and his recommendations and performed the procedure at a very reasonable price. As our dog is older and was due for his dental cleaning anyway, he even suggested we combine the procedures to control costs. Since then, we have come in for normal visits and in one instance, with an urgent concern, and both Dr. Chase and Dr. Bounds have been wonderful. Highly recommend this veterinary practice.

This is my first time owning a pet as an adult. The staff at Northwood Animal Clinic have been such an exceptional staff in answering all of my questions in a kind and helpful way! Whenever we go here for our appointment, the staff is always smiling and very welcoming! I was taking my kitten to a place in Farmers Branch at first, but was told about this place from a good friend. Im glad we chose to take my kitten over to Northwood Animal Clinic! The veterinarian that worked with my kitten was so gentle and knowledgeable about what she was doing! She answered all of our questions and was very helpful in getting rid of his tapeworm problem! I would definitely recommend Northwood Animal Clinic to any of my friends looking for a respectable and friendly place to take their pets!

I am still so happy with the service we receive from Northwood Animal Clinic, even after all these years. We have been seeing Dr. Joe Chase for over 20 years, and I always feel he gives his full attention and kind care to our dogs. We have large rescue dogs, Newfoundlands, and sometimes they have had perplexing problems. But Dr. Chase has always been there with a solution or a suggestion for a road to recovery. I also like Dr. Barsallo. Even though its a longer drive for us than to a closer vet, I keep coming back to Northwood because of the quality of the service and the very caring attitude that the doctors and the staff have. I ALWAYS know they will take great care of the "kids"!

I visited Northwood Animal Clinic a few weeks ago for an itching problem on one of my dogs. I had just moved to the area and of course was a bit apprehensive in going to a new vet but I am glad I gave Northwood a shot. The staff was great. Friendly. Dr. Barsallo was wonderful. Friendly, not patronizing or trying to sell me anything other than what my dog needed for her problem. I appreciated that. I will be talking my other dogs there when its time. Its important that I like the place where I take my pets and I can say that I got a good feeling at Northwood. Although at this point I have only been there once, I would recommend to others that need a good vet clinic.

I am new to the North Dallas area so when my 3 year old shih tuz Dana came down with something I was really in a Jam. I typically dont write reviews but if it wasnt for the good reviews already written about Northwood then I wouldnt have found it. I was able to get a Saturday morning appointment on very short notice so I really appreciated that. The wait was a bit lengthy but since they squeezed me in I couldnt really complain. The Vet I saw was friendly and the medicine she recommended for my pup did the trick. All in all it was a very positive experience and Ill probably use them as my clinic from now on.

Ive only been to Northwood Animal Clinic once but I will certainly be going back. My dog had hurt her paw and one of her nails was hanging by a thread so she had taken to staying in her bed. I called and asked if I could possibly get an appointment for that day. They said that there really wasnt an appointment time but that they would try to work me in. They did work me in, Dr. Chase removed the nail that was injured and then upon finding out that my dog was due for her yearly shots the next week, went ahead and gave them to her so that we didnt have to have two appointments.

We have been using Northwood Animal Clinic for over 17 years and have loved Dr. Joe Chase, Dr. Gary Bounds and there staff for years. They have been wonderful to us with all of our furry family members. They have been kind. patient and most important caring with the treatment and even loss of our loved ones. Dr. Chase will provide you with honest options concerning the treatment and care of your loved one, we certainly trust his opinion and advise. I would recommend Dr. Chase to everyone.

All my fur babies go to Northwood Animal Clinic. They have seen all the doctors there, and I like each one of them. Northwood cared for my Maine Coon cat who passed from a chronic issue. They were caring and I appreciated that they provided all options and left it up to me. I like their conservative approach to vet medicine and feel they provide excellent care. The staff is always professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

Im a new client of Northwood. I wanted a vet who was attentive to both ends of the leash and found Dr. Chase to be so. My elderly dog was ill and Dr. Chase was easily willing to refer him to a specialist, which was needed. He also provided another needed referral when it was determined that my dog is terminally ill. I find Dr. Chase very responsive to his patients. He listens and does not have "one foot out the door" when I ask questions.

Northwood Vet has handled our animal care for many years through the last 40 yrs unbelievably! They handle our cats and dogs with equal care and are able to diagnose the less obvious illnesses. They have treated our cats for both Diabeties and Low Thyroid problems. They are also associated with a 24 hr emergency clinic in the area so records are easily available at any hour. A very good organization with stable group of doctors.

Have been taken advantage of by previous veteranarians at other clinics but; I feel extremely comfortable with the care my two dogs receive at Northwood Animal clinic. They dont overcharge for office visits, treatments or medicines (if there is a need for them). The doctors and staff are knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and honest. I would highly recommend Northwood to anyone looking for a vet.

We always board our very small dog, Margaret, there when we travel and they must do something really nice for her as her tail starts wagging the minute we drive up. The rates are reasonable and everyone is very nice. They also provide the vet care for Margaret and her big sister, Karen. Drs Bounds, Chase, and Barcello are very knowledgeable and seem to have a genuine concern for their patients.
