We had been going to The Parker Animal Hospital Clinic for years & decided to try Willow Bend. We usually had to go to Parker on Saturday mornings & even though wed have a previously scheduled appt., the vets were always too busy to spend more than a few minutes with our cats. Parker did not take our cats temperatures routinely, did not take fecal samples or examine their teeth routinely, etc. Dr. Brinkley at Willow Bend not only takes his time & is thorough, but he takes the time to answer ALL of our questions! Dr. Brinkley & his family have numerous pets & they are animal-lovers, which tells us this is more than a job to him. We recently found a stray cat that was nearly dead on our front patio & took it to Dr. Brinkley. He went out of his way to care for & nurse the cat back to health. He also gave us a discount & his prices are more reasonable than Parkers, too! His office staff are also very friendly & understanding & it is obvious they love & enjoy animals & arent just doing a job. Finally, Dr. Brinkley will never perform a procedure or administer a vaccination unless he feels it is truly needed, & his office hours & emergence contact # for after hours are great! My wife, Michelle, & I couldnt be more pleased! If you arent 100% pleased with your Vet, try Willow Bend! Michelle & Steve McKenzie

Coming from someone that has worked there...DO NOT BOARD your dogs there. Like I said I have worked there and I can tell you nothing pissed me off more about that place than the dogs not being walked. There was ONE kennel girl there that walked the dogs at 6 every morning, but for the rest of the day the kennel person will sit around all day on his phone and doing other peoples job rather than walking the dogs. I complained to the Dr. everyday about the smell in the kennel and how come the dogs are not being walked and he SAYS NOTHING!!!! Why are you in this industry if you do not care about the pets in your clinic? Ridiculous. So if youre wondering why boarding is so cheap---thats why.

A Private User

Everytime I bring my babies here, they take incredible care of them. They always call the next day to check on them if they were there for a sick visit. Our babies love the staff and actually get excited when they see the place lol. I have been to other clinics where it seemed they didnt care about my dog or my dog didnt get the care he/she deserved. I take my dogs to the SPCA for their annual shots just because its the most cost-efficient option, but if my dogs are in need of medical care, this is the only place they will be taken to.

Very nice at first but they put my dog was a pug and not a German Shepard lab mix I kindly asked for them to change it because I gave my dog to my sister and she was taking her to another vet and I needed the breed to be correct the lady was very Smart Aleck with me and very rude she was saying that only the name of the dog said pug and I kindly told her the breed does so as well because she sent me a photo email of all the info and she was just repeating herself I almost went off on her . NEVER BRINGING MY PETS HERE !!!!

Only went for grooming. Susan was the best! She is in Sachse now, owning her own shop called Cosmetology. We would not leave our pets, we stayed with them during grooming. The working conditions are terrible, not enough room, dirty and ventilation is lacking. Susan was right in leaving. The bathrooms are also dirty as well as the offices. I would recommend you ask to look around behind closed doors before you take or leave your pet there, there is also no exercising area,they are just kept in cages if you bored.

Excellent Vet. My husband and I take our dogs and cats to Willow Bend. We moved to Plano a year ago and found Dr. Brinkley on a referral from a specialty derm vet we also love. Dr. Brinkley is down to earth and really listens to what we have to say about our past experiences with our dogs and cats. The whole staff is very friendly and we get in and out promptly. We just tried the groomer, Jose, a few weeks ago and he is fantastic. The new office is a bit farther to drive but worth !

This is the best veterinary clinic. I have an old kitty cat 15 years old that has pillow paws. Most veterinarians have never heard or saw this rare condition on a cat. The Doctor took time and did his homework. He helped my kitty through her difficult and painful paws and he made her feel 100 times better. I am so thankful for this clinic. In addition, all the girls working up front were so helpful and made me feel comfortable bringing my angel (Gracie) in. Donna

I am still sad. Willow Bend did not know my dog was dead in her crate when I arrived to pick her up. We were paying the bill when the girl looked and my puppy was dead. We had been in town for 24 hours--it was Sunday--and they wouldnt let us pick her up until Monday. The girl on Sunday said she was sick but she didnt want to bother calling the veterinarian--he didnt like to be disturbed on Sundays. Somebody should do something about a vet like this.

It is a small clinic but the service and veterinary expertise is wonderful. Dr. Brinkley is a wonderful vet that provides knowledge with compassion for all animals. My dogs have been under the care of Dr. Brinkley and his staff for many years. The entire staff treats us with kindness and I always feel in the best of hands no matter what the situation is. From routine visits to emergency care, boarding and grooming, Dr. Brinkley and his staff have been there for us and know us when we walk in the door!

I went in to get my pup a routine check up and updated rabies vaccination. The visit itself was quick and easy and they were very caring and attentive to my pup. Calling and making the appointment was easy to do and I even got a quote for the price of services requested, which is always helpful. I will be coming back! :)

The front desk girl is the rudest person I have ever dealt with in my life, she was so unwilling and so unhelpful with the biggest attitude. If this is the way she treats the human customers, then I would hate to know how she treats the animals. Because of this girls impolite behavior, you have lost a customer!

The entire office is friendly. My dogs dont mind going to their office (cant say they love it but my dogs seem happy to see the vet and his staff)...and that means a lot to me. I also love that they have a conservative approach (healing before cutting) and that works well for me.
