On a Sunday, in severe pain and desperate need of a root canal, I googled "emergency dentist" and found Emergency Dental Care USA. The office is near where I live, so I didnt call but went straight over hoping that an in-person plea would work best. I also thought it would give me a chance to scope out the place in-person since the reviews online are limited and mixed. The office is located 2 blocks from the Virginia Square metro. I walked right in and spoke to the receptionist who was very nice. I filled out some paper work and was able to be seen immediately. Note: I was told upfront that they didnt accept my insurance and I would need to pay upfront, then they would submit for reimbursement on my behalf and the check from my provider would come straight to me. I was in so much pain, I didnt care. And then Dr. Saba confirmed that I needed a root canal. Sob. The receptionist came in with a printed quote for the work and explained the charges before I agreed. The dentist was able to perform the procedure straight away. Ive had several root canals (ugh, dont ask ... apparently I have very active and "healthy" pulp) and this one was as quick and stress free as they come. Dr. Saba explained the procedure as he went along, kept asking if I was okay and I could tell, along with his super sweet dental assistant, that they truly care about their work. I was in and out in about 90 minutes. During my procedure I find out that Dr. Saba is the only emergency endodontist in town, and that he gets clients from all over the area - Baltimore, West Virginia, etc. He usually is back-to-back with appts but I happened to walk in on a last minute cancellation. It was a great experience and truly saved me from a ton of pain. They also were thoughtful enough to send me with a print out of my xrays and a picture of the temp cement they used so that my regular dentist could have the appropriate information. I highly recommend this practice. PS. I had a follow up appt with my regular dentist to get the crown for my root canald tooth. She examined the xrays, took some more herself and said that it was great work. Also - the crown I already had on order still fit!!! Dr. Saba did a great job of not only saving the tooth, but also doing the work so that the crown already being made would still fit! My dentist was so impressed, that she asked for the information of this practice and said that she has never heard of an endodonist working these hours - and that she will start referring her emergency patients to him. When I was in the chair I hear her talking to all her other dental hygienists about it and also the other dentists in the practice!

This is the most fraudulent dental office I have been to. They charged me for something that could have been covered by insurance and did not let me know that. They claimed they would do a comprehensive teeth evaluation, but they did not even take X-ray of my full mouth. They lied to me and tried to persuade me to accept a $5,000 treatment plan from them... I cant believe a dental office could be this fraudulent. They totally misused new patients trust. Unbelievable.

5 stars across the board. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Dr. Saba and his staff were pleasant, personable, knowledgeable and thorough. I walked in completely discouraged, but walked out optimistic and actually smiling. He did an amazing job. I felt absolutely no discomfort. What started out as emergency dental service has now turned into me switching dentist and now using Dr. Saba as my permanent dentist. He rocks!!!

Pricey, but an all around pleasant experience (as far as dentistry can be pleasant anyway). Dr. Saba is gregarious and informative, and his staff are friendly.
