Do not deserve the one star. Short description: If you work and need flexibility. This office is not for you!! Expect long waits and rude front office staff. Detailed description: I have been a patient of this center for over 3 years. Over the 3 years they have gone down hill in a bad way. I have waited up to 2 hours in their waiting room for an scheduled appointment while others just walk right in. Last year. the dental hygienist called out and I had to reschedule my appointment after I had already taken time off work. Today was the final straw and I am now leaving this office. Today I was told I would have a $35 fee for a missed appointment when I got stuck at work late and couldnt make the appointment. When I called 40 mins after my missed appointment to apologize and see if they could still get me back in. The receptionist rudely informed me that they had to reschedule their whole day for my one appointment that I had made nearly a month in advance. I apologized and told her that I did the best I could but unfortunately today it did not work out due to last minute changes to my work schedule. She snapped back with just rescheduling the appointment. I did not know my schedule at the time and told her I would have to figure it out and call back. Then she told me there was a $35 fee for a missed appointment. I told her that a missed appointment fee was completely unreasonable since I had no service done. I explained that I have certainly waited long lengths of time in there office and never received a discount. What gives... Apparently, Its acceptable for the patients to wait long periods and be inconvenienced but not their staff. It just seems really backwards and I work in healthcare. I finally just hang up because all she did was told over me stating their company policies that made no sense. Im not saying I am completely innocent because I did miss the appointment. However, I would think a patient of over 3 years would have given some respect or empathy. I guess not...

Made an appointment and provided all of my insurance information including group # and member # to make sure everything went smoothly. Showed up 15 min before appointment, filled out paperwork well before appointment time. Was then told after waiting for 45 minutes that they had none of my insurance information and were still waiting on it.. I already get kind of nervous and on edge at the dentist, waiting on end just isnt the experience Im looking for. Especially when they couldnt give me an estimated time of how long it will take. I know Im about to spend 5k+ on some work (not including what the insurance covers), Im going to make sure I spend that money at the best place my insurance will cover.. Judging by the other reviews I made the right move when I decided to leave. (Only 2 star because I cant comment on the dentist as I never even got to that part)

I recently moved to Cape Coral from out of the country. I had been in a country where dental care was basically nonexistent, and as a result My teeth were in need of some attention. When I came to this Great Expressions office, I was greeted with quite a few friendly smiles. The staff was helpful and the dentist was very thorough. I have very sensitive teeth, and the dentist and her assistant were both very understanding and accommodating. They fixed a filling that I had previously done by another dentist. The filling itself was poorly done the first time, when it was done by the previous dentist, but when I went to this office, they redid the filling and corrected my bite. Overall, I was very pleased with how careful and meticulous they had been during my visit.

If you have an urgent issue, DO NOT CALL THIS PLACE. My wisdom teeth are popping through my gums and im currently in extreme pain. I called them up and the woman who answered was extremely rude. She sounded very angry that it has been a long time since my last visit. She made that fact very clear by her tone of voice. She also informed me that they do not generally remove wisdom teeth, but refer patients to an oral surgeon. However, she still attempted to pressure me into coming in to their office first, I assume so they could be compensated for nothing, at my expense, prior to simply referring me to another place.

Today my daughter and I came to Great Expressions to get her cavity filled needless to say she came out with a smile as she always does. They have the most kind and helpful staff all the from Tammy the receptionist to the dentist herself . They take the time to make sure shes brushing correctly and showing her how to use special toothpaste. I"ve had nothing but the best experience here and I am recommending Great Expressions to all my friends and family . I Give them ***** Thanks for all you do!!! Francesca Ferrara

I absolutely hate going to the dentist but Dr. Mier is always amazing and pleasant. They have always done well to work with me. The levels of satisfaction and pleasant service that I have received each time that Ive visited Great Expressions exceeds my expectation. Anyone who says the staff is unfriendly did not make the effort to effectively communicate with them. This staff from the front of the house to the back is amazing. Thank you guys for your great service!!

Hands down the worst dental office I have ever been to. The regular doctor is apparently on maternity leave and the doctor covering for her is good and doing the best she can with a crappy staff. 5 hours was spent in their office after a very rough cleaning and 2 failed attempts at fitting a temporary crown. I was finally sent on my way after the assistant packed in an ill fitting crown with a gob of cement. Avoid the Cape Coral location like it is the plague.

My experience with this place was similar to the encounter of Carly Geiers posted above. One can almost describe it as a marketing bait and switch technique. I was new in town then and a new patient to them. It would have been ok if the recommended procedures costing thousands of dollars were bona fide. I happened to have relative dentists out of town who adviced otherwise. So I would recommend you to see other truly professionals for your dental needs.

The doctor is great, his diagonosis was right on target of what I expected. Its the staff that this rating is for. Just awful. I will never go back. Also, just wanted a cleaning...the "girl" told me that this was not possible b/c it would be negligent on their part to do so, since I needed periodontal work...WHAT?! I have never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life. (I never did tell them I worked in the dental field for 17 years...be careful...)

Went for a routine exam expecting X-rays and a cleaning... Got X-rays done and then listened to the doctor give me her huge sales pitch about why I needed $5,000 Invisalign. I had to make a second appointment to get my teeth cleaned! Then during the cleaning Invisalign was brought up again, and a sales pitch on their water pick. Very frustrating! Only good thing I can say is everyone was very nice and no wait time really but I wont be going back.
