My wife went in there earlier and had this to say about them, but unwilling to receive the backlash that a bad review on someone could bring, I will be posting the review instead. "I had a 2:00 appointment for a cleaning at this dentists office, and it was a terrible experience to put it plainly. I understand waiting for an appointment, as Ive waited past the appointment time at nearly every check-up or cleaning Ive ever had in my life, but when a patient shows up at 1:45 and then has to ask the receptionist themselves how much longer until they are seen after already waiting an hour and twenty minutes is just absurd. When I went up to the counter at 3:05, I was told there was a problem with my insurance; why they didnt bring up the problem prior to me asking how much longer Id be waiting is beyond me. After this issue they told me it would be "just 5 minutes", which turned into another 20 minutes before I was brought back. When I finally got into a room, I had to wait another 10 minutes before Dr. Minsung Son arrived. When he did, he jabbed at my problem tooth for two minutes and then told me "I had perfect teeth until I partied like a rockstar in college and wound up with $25,000 in dental bills." After this terrific exchange (get the sarcasm?) I was dismissed. I was scheduled for a cleaning, but there would be no hygienist for another 30 minutes, so I had to leave without them even following through with my scheduled appointment, and yes, I had to pay for this. Maybe this was just a bad day for them,"

I came in for emergency appointment on one of my molars that was causing me extreme pain, while I appreciate them fitting me in quickly the same day they told me they could not perform a root canal at this location because the dentist is wary of something happening. Well what the hell kind of excuse is that?? It was not infected, I got the impression that they were to lazy to perform the work so they just ship out their customers to random orthopedic surgeons in the area because theres not enough money in it for them. Well the specialist wants to charge me $975 with savings plan for work done, NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!!! Called up Advanced Dental Care in Clearwater where I got my first root canal done and the dentist there would see me later in the week for an agreed amount of $540 - much better. I love the Clearwater location they do it on site at their office, the young female Dr. over there does amazing work, unlike Shady Road who are money hungry and couldnt care less. Last but not least when I tried to get them to transfer my xrays over to Clearwater they made it seem like I was bothering them. I will never return to this location. It sucks!!!!

After suffering from swelling and pain I decided to swallow my fear and go to the dentist and not only get that recommendation to have my wisdom teeth removed, but finally follow through with it. Ive had three in the past from two different dentists. At the end of this appointment when going over my plan of care there was no wisdom tooth removal. Apparently the doctor didnt think it was necessary. I was pissed. 2 out of 3 think it was. And they literally cause me pain. The tissue surrounding them swell, ache, and make it difficult to swallow, but he thinks I should keep them. That alone wasnt my issue though. I thought the doctor was arrogant and an ass. I felt as though he talked down to me and his assistant and felt like he was annoyed by me, my questions and my answers to his. Lastly, which is what really made me say "I will never go back," I have a friend that goes to this place, and he has had two or three fillings fall out of his teeth. Ive never heard of such a thing, but I believe him, have seen the hole in his tooth, and am not risking that for my teeth. I only get the one set.

I took my son here yesterday due to him having abcess tooth. Yes, they took him back within 15 minutes l. I did not have to wait long for the dentisit to come in. The Doctor did his exam said the tooth needed to come out. She had the tech make a treatment plan which i agree to. When i went to make the appointment to have the tooth pulled I was told it could not be done until May 30th. I was very shocked by the long wait. Thankfully the staff recommend Grines and Giggles in Gainsville Florida. Which is over an hour away from my home. They where able to fit my son in today! Not only did they pull the tooth but filled to cavities! I dont understand why advance could not do same day treatment when Grins and Giggles had us in and out within an hour! Point is if you have a dental emergency do not plan to have it fixed in a timely matter with advance dental. Yes staff is very friendly and office is very nice and clean. I will not be returning this office!

i had a molar extracted and was not given a post exctraction instruction sheet, so i had to Google everything. was told "yea,we gave you one in spanish.were sure of it" but umm,i dont read spanish! got dry socket cuz of it and the doctir had the nerve to say i needed to follow instructions,What instructions, google? worst procedure ever and ive had 4 wisdom teeth extracted in one day from a different dentist which was much better then at this place.oh, front desk staff was a joke. they chew gum loud as hell while there talking to you (rude) and it was a "problem" to get change from them after paying for my visit, they kept saying "you can put it towards your next appointment " lol give me my change or bill me, not my fault you dont keep petty cash available for cash back, this is all while having a mouth full of gauze and half my jaw was numb, and when i mean they kept insisting, imean they really kept insisting.

Each and every time I walk into Advanced Dental Care of Shady Road, I feel a warmth and welcome that I have never experienced in any other dental office. Everyone is always friendly, respectful, and caring. I accidentally chipped my front tooth this morning...as soon as I called the office and explained my dilemma, I was told to come right down and they would take care of me. My appointment this morning was with Dr. Torres. It was truly the best and the most comfortable experience I have ever had in a dental chair! Dr. Torres chair side manner and professionalism is impeccable!!! I cant say enough nice things about the way I am treated at this office. I will continue to recommend Dr. Torres and Advanced Dental Care of Shady Road to everyone I know. Thank you, to each of you, for treating your patients the way you would want to be treated. Keep up the great work!

The people that work in this office are not ones that I would willingly recommend to family and friends. They bully, threaten, and pressure you into agreeing to what they want, without care or concern of an individuals circumstances. It is apparent that the office operates on the almighty dollar and their bottom line is what comes first and foremost. Not to mention, when you dont follow their "requests", they retaliate by sending you bills stating that you owe them money but with no explanation to the charges. Which I find interesting considering there were no procedures performed. Never have I ever been treated so poorly by whats supposed to be a professional office. I only rated a one star, because the option of no stars is not allowed. I advise others just to be careful if working with this office and make sure you pay attention to their tactics.
