DO NOT COME HERE. I am new to DFW and wanted a simple teeth cleaning. Only came here because it was in my dental insurance network and conveniently located. BIG MISTAKE. They herded me to the back and proceeded to strongly recommend 5 fillings, a night guard, and Invisalign. $2,800 in potential services. My teeth are not crooked. I had braces as a juvenile and my teeth have barely shifted. I promptly said no to the night guard and Invisalign; knowing they were trying to up-sell me. Then, they said I needed five fillings, but only showed me a photo of a small dark spot on one single tooth. My grandfather was a dentist and I told them how I felt the tiny dark spot on my tooth did not look that bad. Not to mention, I had ZERO pain. They continued to urge I get fillings stating "you really dont want to wait until it gets worse". In my lack of judgement, I trusted their recommendation. Theyre supposed to be the experts, right? Plus, Ive had minor fillings before with other dentists and never had any issues. Worst medical decision Ive ever made in my life. Now I have unnecessary fillings and pain. The sealant or filling material they used not only feels rough, its like they conjoined two of my molars together. Whats worse, is I have pain any time I chew on that side. I was chewing gum today and had to stop because of the pain. I went back three times in a week. First time to complain about the pain. They did a "bite adjustment" twice... but thats not what it is. They have made my teeth effectively weaker by recommending unnecessary treatments and failing to provide any quality of care after my concerns were expressed. Not only did they do this to me, my wife visited them a week prior and were both having the same issues. Pain from unnecessary fillings when all we initially wanted was a cleaning. To add insult to injury, one of their dental assistants was performing a mold on my teeth earlier in my initial visit. She was in such a hurry to "go to Chilis for lunch" with her coworker. She rushed through the mold and said "youre done", not even taking off my bib and leaving mold gel all over my mouth. By the time I quickly paid my bill and walked out of the office, she and her coworker were already ahead of me in the parking lot. Very unprofessional and no sense of care for their patients. This place is simply a doc-in-the-box & a money grab on your insurance. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Ideal Dental & Orthodontics has been amazing to my daughter who required orthodontia and dental care. We have been a client of theirs for nearly 3 years and I have thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and courtesy I receive every time I am there ... and Im just the parent. Haley, a member of the Orthodontia team, if not a professional, would be one of my daughters greatest friends. Jessica, also a member of the Orthodontia team, is very helpful, fast on her feet and feels genuine as a professional. Chelsea, who is reliable and very organized, seems like the right office management and client relations coordinator for the Orthodontia team. Dental has been good to my daughter as well, but because we only visit them every 6 months, we dont have as much of a relationship with the dental team. Theyve never over-charged or over-recommended any dental service. They have, however, shown me and my wife some of the problems our daughter was having with personal dental care and when there was a problem, they pointed it out. Yelp members have given Ideal Dental & Orthodontia a poor rating and I am simply not certain why. Nearly everything Ive read, I just havent experienced or witnessed for myself. Sometimes it seems like someone had a poor experience because they thought everything was alright and then Ideal informs them that there are concerns and RECOMMENDS (Not Forces) potentially necessary treatments. Then that person tells another person whom apparently ignores their friends supposed "horrible" experience and visits Ideal to share the experience. As I stated on my Yelp review, Orthodontia and Dental care is not, has not, and will never be cheap. If someone is able to find cheap oral care, they are paying for what they are getting. If people decide to go to a "mainstream" dental and orthodontia care facility like Ideal, after cheap services, Ideal will undoubtedly express concerns of oral issues that people didnt pay for before. Also, if youre going in for dental cleaning, it is a common practice to divulge potential and existing issues. Recommendations are provided (not forced) and if you want a healthy mouth, you can certainly pay for it. Just because Ideal finds more issues than another dentist, doesnt make them wrong. Look at it this way, what if theyre right?

I am very disappointed in my experience that I received today with ideal dental. My family of six have been going to Ideal Dental for the past few years and they were always accommodating to my family and nice. However, today I was very frustrated that I had taken off from work today to take 2 of my kids for their cleaning and they were unable to be seen because I did not call to confirm my appointment time??? This is incorrect!!! I called this morning to the office to let them know that if they had any cancellations to let me know and I could come in earlier. The lady that answered the phone told me that she would let the office know. I told her that if nothing opens up earlier that I would bring them at their scheduled time at 2:00. She said ok. I also called yesterday to see if any one had cancelled. I took off from work today and showed up. The front desk told me that they didnt have an appointment because I didnt not confirm? Ideal dental no longer allows families to bring more than 2 family members in at one time. This is not convienient for families with more than 2 children. When I took my daughter in last week, I confirmed my appointment for my twins today and my other son tomorrow. I have taken off from work today and they could not be seen at their normal appointment time. I have never missed an appointment. It is not my fault that you did not get my message. I am frustrated by the situation and I have cancelled all future appointments with this office. If this dental office cares about customer service they would have made arrangements to accommodate my scheduled appointment. I asked to speak to the office manager but they were unavailable. I really liked the office but I will be looking for another dental office that does accept responsibility for their errors and will do the right thing for their patients.

I recently had an appointment with this office, and I am very upset with the way in which my case was handled. I felt that the underlying agenda was to push me into treatment that I needed just for the simple fact of having closed a deal with me. I felt like I was being sold something that I wasnt completely comfortable with. While I understood the treatment and felt comfortable with the dr, the assistants, the atmosphere and the diagnosis I didnt have the time or money to take care of everything that day. When I expressed my concern I was met with a second wave of totally different approach from the office manager Darlene who didnt seem to have my best interest in mind. I want my treatment to be done and felt like what I want as a patient and paying "customer" should be what matters. The office manager seemed to brush aside my concerns and was very pushy concerning my payment matters. I dont want to go to an office where my health comes second to a sale. Is this too much to expect???!! I felt like I was on a car lot not a dental office!! I personally think that if you want my business then show concern for me the patient and not just my checkbook!!! And of top of it all-- the person in charge of this office should be the one to express concern for keeping patients and not bullying them into treatment. So I am taking my business elsewhere... where the patient is the concern and not whats in my bank. Next time-- send someone who has understanding for me and not so pushy and rude!!!
