MUST READ: rarely do I write reviews on anything but with a good DDS I dont play. Dr. Dernick is by far the nicest dentist Ive ever met, took time to stop and talk about everything that made me extremely paranoid about dental work. I am a 24yo male tough as nails so I like to think and even grew up tough but when it comes to getting a tooth removed Im a maple leaf in a wind storm with sweat rolling to my toes. Ive had 7 extractions in my grown up life all of which were terrifying to say the least accompanied by a horrible experience along with my best friend in life almost loosing his life over dental work, so as you can imagine Im a skitso about this stuff now. Okay, driving to Dr. Dernicks this morning was terrifying I seriously almost made another excuse and turned around as I missed my first appointment for a family illness but I stayed on course because my teeth are effecting my health and with my first born Ive got to set an example so I went. Greeted by a new dental hygienist I almost fainted, I was just ecstatic with the one from my exam and she had like 20 years of experience and talked to me like we were friends outside of there so I was instantly uneasy with the new one. Arriving at the dreaded chair of pain Im greeted by my first hygienist and just took everything down a click or two, Dr. Dernick came in and was happy to see me "like he actually cares about my tooth health outside of the paycheck hes working for" so Im calming major at this point like I did during the exam, now for the SHOTS... IDK!! how the hell he did it but I seriously 100% didnt feel anything not even a pinch, now he does give more shots than the normal dentist and for good reasons that he will thoroughly explain if you ask but HEY who gives a hoot when you dont feel them!!! A big thing with me is not getting the saliva sucked out I hate having to gargle at the hygienist every time, well guess what I got to hold the sucker the whole time and that was beast mode! But to sum the rest I DIDNT FEEL A FREAKING THING AND IT WAS JUST AS FAST AS YOUD LIKE IT TO BE!! I had my final wisdom tooth removed and a crown preparation on a molar, I cant say enough about these people here. The receptionist seen how much a nervous wreck I was in the waiting room befor all of this and got out of her chair to come make conversation just to calm me down, reassuring me that this wasnt a problem and I could be as nervios as I wanted but everything would be just fine. If you want the last dentist you ever need just come here alrady and make the best choice of your life by choosing Dr. Robert G dernick as your DDS and let all those worries fade away. BTW out of 10 exams hes the only one that said he could fix my teeth without pulling them all or any root canals.... and in his words "my fix is for life" Waylon L

We have been seeing Dr. Dernick for several years after being referred to him by a friend in the Woodlands. Based on our experiences to date, we couldnt be happier with him and his staff. All of our appointments have been on time, with very little, if any, waiting. Even when we needed something more urgent than a regular checkup, Dr. Dernick made time to see us, and he never appears to be in a hurry. He and his staff are always concerned about our comfort during procedures, whether they be routine cleanings or putting in a new crown. We are thankful to have such a wonderful dentist!

Dr. Dernick has been taking care of my teeth since I was 8 and now hes also taking care of my wife and 3 children. We have been extremely happy with the level of professionalism, knowledge, and care we receive. Dr. Dernick has always taken a very conservative approach to treating our dental needs and we appreciate feeling totally confident that he has our best interests in mind. Its not easy to find a dentist that you can feel that they treat/advise you the same way they would care for one of their family members, but that is how we feel with Dr. Dernick.

VERY POOR BUSINESS ETHICS!!!! I was charged almost double over and above the quote I was provided for a cleaning (come to find out, the extra cost was little services they sneak in without disclosing pricing or even asking for approval). In addition, they automatically take X-rays (which luckily I stopped before they took them and charged me for those too)! Just beware - they may get away with this to take advantage of insurance companies, but for an individual paying out-of-pocket, take notice and BEWARE!

Dr. Dernick is a life saver! I was never getting a good nights rest and I mentioned that to him at one of my checkups. He did an analysis on me, sent me home with a sleep test and subsequently diagnosed me with sleep apnea. He was able to treat my sleep apnea by making a dental appliance that I wear each night. Now, I wake up refreshed, better able to concentrate, not tired throughout the day, and my wife sleeps better as well since I dont snore anymore. Thank you Dr. Dernick!"

Dr. Dernick has been our dentist for 17 years! Were a military family with many moves and dentists in the past. He is, by far, the best dentist we have ever had! Personally, I have always had anxiety for any dental procedures except cleanings. Over the years, he has replaced some very old fillings with much needed crowns. He is so gentle and calm, and Ive never had a problem with any work he has done. I recommend him wholeheartedly!

Just had a great appointment with Dr. Robert G. Dernick! He is my favorite dentist in The Woodlands and Houston area. Been going to him for years for regular cleanings/check ups and cosmetic dentistry. He did a bunch of work that was long overdue--crowns, updated my fillings, a veneer, teeth whitening, and a cleaning! I love my smile thanks to Dr. Dernick and his wonderful staff!
