First off I have to say this was the worst experience with dentistry I have ever had. The appointments were more for my Grandmother, but I take care of her full time. Also, this review is more directed towards the staff rather than the doctor herself. Although she should think more about hiring different people. Sadly that staff can dictate whether or not we stay with that office. My grandmother needed her wisdom tooth extracted surgically, and it had been almost impossible to find someone that took the insurance. It was either Dr Michelle J Charles, or someone 3 hours away. Soooo we picked the closest one, even though they were still 30 miles away. We drove there and saw someone who apparently wasnt the dentist either. (We didnt find out until the day of the procedure.) After that we had to wait for approval for the actual procedure and that took four months. I had called several times while waiting and even called the insurance. Finally I could make the appointment. My Mom came with me, and we were told that there was something else that we had to pay $145 for. I never heard about it and the woman at the front desk insisted that she told us. The actual dentist walked in (who I never saw in my life) and didnt understand why it took that long either. We were taking back, and while my Grandmother was having another X-ray she asked us if she was on any blood thinners. When I told her baby aspirin, they canceled the procedure. We were both in shock and a bit perturbed. (Trying to shorten the story) The woman from the front desk came up and was very rude, she tried to insinuate that it was all our fault and that we needed to collect my Grandmother and leave. Thankfully the dentist came in and calmed us down. She said that in the notes, I HAD told them my Grandmothers medication. She also told us that the woman wasnt going to be with them anymore. All in all, Doctor Michelle J Charles is very pleasant and seems to be a good dentist. But her staff is/or was horrible. I really hope that things get fixed after this. Now we are screwed with trying to find a specialist that will accept my Grandmothers insurance. NEVER AGAIN!

In response to the review of the elderly patient with her Grand mother. 1st I happen to be there that day. Getting a procedure done myself. The Grand mothers daughter was way out of line and very disrespectful to the young Lady that works the front desk. In fact I witnessed the daughter disrespectfully get into her face in a very threatening manner. Even with the daughter screaming and making a scene. The front desk personnel was very calm and tried to explain the situation Ina very respectful way. I thought that she had handled the outrageous daughter very professionally. I dont think I would of made it through that situation without getting fires I applaud her. Dr Charles is outstanding Dentist and awesome at what she does. However the woman insisted on Dr Charles performing a procedure that was clearly meant for an oral Surgeon. Even after Dr Charles explained this to the woman she was still irrate and wanted Dr Charles to do the procedure. Ive been with Dr Charles for several years. With NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL.. In fact I refer all friends and family who also have awesome reviews of Dr Charles and her staffs work. Dr Charles you and your staff are awesome Thank You so much for what you and your staff do.... First of all I never write a review because it takes too much of my time, but I had to warn everyone of this office. First of all I had an appointment at 9AM for a cleaning, showed up promptly and was seated approx 20 minutes later where I waited there for 40 minutes until someone actually came to inspect me. DUring x-rays the lady kept cursing about the machine and said it was junk. After that I waited another 10 minutes for my cleaning to be done where it switched off between the tech and the doctor herself because they were disorganized. She got up again saying that I needed a special cleaning, which I didnt because Ive gotten a normal cleaning every 5-6 months back where I used to live, and wanted to charge me $65 for it on top of the horrible experience they were showing me. The place is a little dirty and looks pretty shady. Kids running around the office talking to patients and the staff carry conversations regardless who is in the office. DO NOT GO and I WILL NEVER GO BACK. Viera Dental in Viera, FL is THE BEST place to go and definitely taking the 1.5 hour drive for the customer service and quality that this place severely lacks!!

Hi my name is Stella Lincoln; I have been a patient of Dr. Charles for 10+ years. In all my years in her care Ive always received kind and courteous service from her and all of her staff. When I schedule an appointment I am given thoughtful reminders. When I appear at my scheduled appointment Im treated on or very near my scheduled appointment time. There are no long waits. That Ive always appreciated. Dont get me wrong I love children. Dr. Charles tries very hard to schedule childrens clinics at separate appointment times from the adults. :-) There is always interesting magazines, comfortable seating, no over crowding and interesting TV. shows, even in the back treatment rooms. The equipment is modern and up to date, I didnt always enjoy dental visits in the past but I never miss an appointment with Dr. Charles because I know that I will be given the best care possible. Feel free to use my name in any endorsements. Dr. Charles and her staff truly deserve a round of applause.

The front desk receptionist is a rude, nasty person. I called to make an appointment for my husband and was put on hold. After holding for over 5 minutes, I had to hang up because I was stepping out of my WIFI zone and had to let me phone connect to service. Well I called back and the nasty b****, immediately picked up the phone, set it on the counter a says "hanging up and calling back doesnt make it go faster!". As if I couldnt hear her. As stated above that wasnt my intention and even if it was, she has no right to speak to people calling the office that way. Then after me saying hello she put me on hold again. I tried to call back and she immediately put me on hold without even saying hello. Dr. Charles, you can thank your rude office staff for lost business. If this is how you let them treat patients then I want nothing to do with your business.

Called to make an appointment and the girl- who sounded miserable when she answered- was just so unwilling to be just a little bit helpful. I explained that I dont have my insurance card just yet but that I could get her the information. I even offered to send it to her in an email and she refused. WOW, if she is the face for the tone of their office, they need someone else answering the phones. FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE EVERYTHING.

The front desk is really nice and helpful, and the whole staff is really nice after you walk in to be seated the get to work and are very efficient and fast at what they do then the Doctor sees you and treats you with the most respect and get you on your way I loved my experience and will be recommending to everyone i know.
