WARNING: Do not under any circumstance go to or send any family members to Brian J. Blocher D.D.S. located at 201 N. Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa Wisconsin. I was unfortunately not so lucky. I was sent to him by my primary dentist to have a tooth removed because he offers sedation and laughing gas. I should have listened to my better judgement when I was told Ron was not allowed in the room. Which didnt make any sense considering there was plenty of room in there, they even had an extra chair. The aide took my xrays then sat me in the chair and put a mask over my nose then she left me in the room alone. I knew something wasnt right, right away. The laughing gas hit me quickly but wore off almost immediately. In that short time a different aide stood in my doorway laughing at me and saying things like cereal and mashed potatoes. No, Im not kidding. Just to mess with me while the gas was in effect. Now Ive had laughing gas before for other dental procedures. It doesnt cause hallucinations, it only relaxes you. You are suppose to use it just before injection to just before extraction. When the aide realized I still was very coherent she laughed and walked away. At this time the original aide came in with the dentist. While the dentist (pretended) to read over my chart and paper work I had just filled out, the aide was standing next to me rocking back and forth on her feet. As she was doing this she was stepping on the hose that was attached to my mask. At first I wasnt sure if she realized what she was doing until I looked at her. You know when someone smiles at you as if to say how are you doing?...well thats not what you get at Brian J Blochers DDS office. No this aide looked at me and smiled as if to say You have no idea how truly sick I am! At that moment the dentist turned around pushed my bottom jaw down and ripped my tooth out. Yep, it was that quick! If all of this wasnt bad enough, the pain medication he wrote me a prescription for....Im highly allergic to and could possibly kill me if I took it. Which was stated very clearly on my paperwork. So, unless youre into pain and having your head messed with while youre sedated....Stay clear of Brian J. Blocher DDS!

Young dental assistants greeted me and handed me forms to fill out. My appointment had been made several months in advance. They do a lot of business here. The waiting room was about half full of patients. After just a few minutes, a dental assistant escorted me to the x-ray station and later into a sunny dental room where I shortly met Dr Blocher who is a gentle older man. I said the temperature-sensitive pain might be coming from one of two neighboring teeth. Perhaps some test should be done to make sure the correct tooth was being extracted. He quickly convinced me that my referring dentist had identified the correct tooth by pointing to the area of decay in the dental x-ray. This answered my concern. Then they injected the area with some numbing chemical. Dr. Blocher carefully and painlessly pulled the molar out. It only took about a minute or two, and it was painless. He is very experienced. Then his assistant provided me with some gauze both in the extraction site ("socket") and a supply to take home. She also gave me a useful handout explaining why patients should not use straws or do any other sucking for several days after surgery. (Using a straw to drink after surgery could cause the blood clot to come loose where the tooth was extracted. This can slow down healing and cause a painful condition called "dry socket".) There was little or no pain even during the healing period the next several days. Dr. Blocher and his staff are excellent! Thank you folks so much.

So this place is a damn joke. This was in a wheaton Franciscan health care hospital. This person we went to is an oral surgeon. My mom went here to have her teeth pulled on the bottom and it was the only place that took her insurance AND were told they would put her to sleep for additional $300. First of all we walked in to rap music being played ( relaxing, right ). And then she was called back to have them pulled and was only back there for 45 minutes. After leaving and getting in the car and my mom was finally able to say something, she said they didnt put her to sleep. They only gave her a bunch of Nova Caine and some gas. She was awake and in pain the entire time he pulled 12 teeth. Today was her follow up. She went back there this time with my grandma and she asked for her money back. He said not only will he not give her money back. But he said he doesnt put anyone to sleep because he has to able to bring them back. Not only that he then he accused my mom of being a drug user which she certainly isnt! He then continued to talk about that he doesnt make enough money to do what he does. Hes rude, disrespectful and doesnt care about anyone he works on.

The worst experience with a dentist. I had a scheduled appointment for Friday 09/25/15 morning and they called me Thursday 09/24/15 in the afternoon to tell me that he was not going to be in the office. I booked this appointment back in May because there was a huge wait and last minute they tell me he has to reschedule. They were able to get me in on 09/26/2015 right away in the morning. The procedure was fast but they only prescribed me pain medication. From what I have heard from other people they are suppose to prescribe you antibiotics as well. I have been having so much pain so I called 10/02/2015 and told them that the pain medication isnt working and I wanted to set up an appointment and the lady on the phone told me that he wouldnt be back until 10/12/2015 and until then just rinse my mouth with salt water. That was it. Salt water does nothing for this sharp of pain. They have no idea what they are doing. I would not recommend him to anyone!!!! Awful Awful place.

I had 2 lower impacted wisdom teeth surgically removed on Saturday, the surgery itself was great! felt nothing...had the iv sedation...it was quick and painless...barely saw the dentist and i feel that the aftercare instructions could have been better....ANYWAY, fast forward, i got dry socket and had to go back to get the wound packed with medicine..the nurse and dr were very insensitive and the first packing was extremely painful! the dr did not stop when i asked him to...I was in tears at the end of that visit..and they did not explain to me at tht time that they were treating dry socket..not until i came back today and had it packed again (less painful) but still very painful. i also complained that the medicine did not work for the pain at all...the dentist nor the nurse addressed it...im never going back to Dr.Blocher and i advise you not to! they treat patients like dummy dolls and not real pple with REAL pain.!

Dont even bother setting up an appointment if he wants to see you again. You will be completely ignored and LIED to. I had an appointment at 7am. I walked in the door at 6:55am to find a packed waiting room and each and every patient got taken BEFORE me. Keep in mind you cannot schedule an appointment before 7am, so... yea, I was simply blown off. When I asked about it and told them I had another appointment at 9am they told me to relax and that Id been seen eventually. WHAT IS THE POINT OF AN APPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????? Dr. Blocher is also very careless and rough when it comes to your mouth. He gives you the bare minimum of novocaine and expects you to just DEAL with the pain as he rips your gums open and treats you as if he were digging in a wooden log with a chisel. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE! Find another surgeon! TRUST ME!
