THINK TWICE ABOUT GOING HERE FOR DENTAL WORK! As a new patient I had to have a lot of xrays, which sounds good but it just gave them excuses for all kinds of things I had to work on. I was totally devastated when I left. I have had regular checkups and dental work all my life, so my teeth arent even bad. They wouldnt do my cleaning the same day, which I didnt know, but scheduled me for one as soon as they could, which was not the couple days they said many weeks away. When I went they gave me a full mouth debridement, which seemed like a regular cleaning to me. When I asked about the whether my insurance paid for it, I was told they didnt know what my coverage was. I recently got a bill saying my insurance wouldnt pay for it. I sent them an email about this but after several days I called. The office manager instead of trying to help, denied everything I said and yelled at me about being unprofessional. I will never go there again!

Horrible, unprofessional office. They will tell you that you need a TON of work done, and then refuse to clean your teeth or do any regular maintenance until you have the more expensive treatments performed. They schedule multiple follow up appointments when you leave, and tell you its not a problem if something comes up - they will contact you before and if you have to reschedule, they will. They never contacted me until the morning of an afternoon appointment, and then charged me $75 because I couldnt make it. Not a bad racket - fill your appointment book, charge the patient whether they show or not, and pocket the profits! They filed multiple claims with my insurance that were incorrect or incomplete, proving they have no idea how to deal with insurance. If the insurance company denies the claim, theyll simply bill you for it. Do yourself a favor - stay away from this place. There are PLENTY of reputable dentists available.

I went for a regular cleaning as a new patient. Unlike any other dentists office that Ive been to before they decided to make break my teeth cleaning visit up. The first visit an X-ray and consultation. Then the cleaning was to be broken down into 2 visits, right side mouth and then left side mouth and they wanted me to take pain injections as well, just for a normal cleaning!!! Of course I declined the injections and then went to both visits. at the end of the 3rd visit they wanted to schedule me for another follow up visit. I mean 4 visits for a teeth cleaning?? Ridiculous. Of course now my insurance decided that part of these visits were unnecessary and when I called Fields they blamed it on my insurance not wanting to pay up. SMH, Crooks. I cant imagine how much more it would be if I accepted the shots. My advice, go to a different dentistry unless u like extra visits and out of pocket costs.

We all know not having dental insurance is a real pain, just as well all know having an aching tooth is a real pain. the worst pain of all ? Making an appointment and having the dentist tell you what you already know, the tooth needs to come out. But WAIT patient! we cant do that here, you must go to our good friends down the road to have it out. Really because a few years ago you pulled out one of my teeth. Dentist seemed like he was in a hurry and wanted to make a buck (the squirrely looking young guy) but the lady who helped me was sweeter than sugar. Perhaps years ago, and with a different dentist at the same practice I had better luck. Stay away from that guy, think his name was "Mr. Idontreallycareaboutmypatient" or AKA "IcouldntaffordtobeaERdoctor" Totally go here if you get the main dentist only, and be wary of them wanting to send you to another place for something they can do there.

It had been a long time since I had been to the dentist before visiting Fields Family Dentistry. And prior to this visit it had been military dentist who seem to just keep patching things to stop major issues. I was really nervous having my initial examination as I thought it was going to be a lecture on all the issues I have. I was pleasantly surprised to have my issues thoroughly explained to me both verbaly as well as visually. This was followed up by explaining to me a plan on how to address the issues that I have. I was given the time to ask any questions and received very descriptive answers. I found this very different to most of my experiences in other health care professions that I have visited. I would and will definitely recommend Fields Family Dentistry to my family and friends.

Yes staff is nice but I cant stand Dr. Sharf. Hes kind of a jerk to the assistants and can come across as very condescending. If you look like youre under 30 hell show you pictures of what tongue piercings do to your teeth unsolicited. I never had any intention of getting my tongue pierced ever - thanks for wasting time! Oh yeah, and he drilled into the WRONG TOOTH and then proceeded to throw some BS my way about how that one needed to be drilled out anyway. So, I now have 2 fillings where I shouldve only had one. Oh yeah, and he hit a nerve when he injected the Novocain. I had been going to dentists my entire life no problem and never understood why people were scared of them, now I know. Im 26 and terrified. Thanks a lot....I recommend you stay away...

I can highly recommend this Dentistry and feel they are the best I have ever experienced. When I first came to FFD over ten years ago, there were many issues regarding my teeth and gums. They completely eliminated all of that, and my mouth today is much healthier and better looking than it was before I started coming to FFD. You will also find the staff to be incredible, from the Dentists right through everyone else you encounter at this practice. I have also been very impressed over the years with the technology they adapt to and use, plus the expertise to make it all happen. All in a friendly environment. We are fortunate to have them in our area! I am super confident you too will find that your search for a good local Dentistry is over.

My family has used Fields Family Dentistry since 1987. Over the past 26 years Ive had emergency work done, crowns, root canals fillings and special work to correct the tooth that has always made me hate smiling since I was a kid. Dr. Chuck Fields took the time to explain how he could make my smile the way I always wanted and went to work on it. Today I have PERFECT teeth and I give ALL the credit to Dr. Fields. My wife and daughter also use this practice and I would welcome anyone to contact me to verify the truth of these statements. There IS NO BETTER DENTIST than Dr. Fields and I know that because I had many hours in the dental chair before I moved to the Mechanicsburg area - NONE BETTER.

My husband found this office and I wish he would of never found them. My husband had to have a filling re-filled after one done at Fields came out while flossing a week after it was put in. When I called Fields to complain to the office manager about his filling falling out she was rude and we recieved a letter within the week asking us to find a new dentist, which we planned on doing anyway! I would stay clear of this place! Dr. Fields also openly discussed assistants relaitonships openly in front of me with other staff whiling working on my teeth which I found to be disturbing! Defiently dont miss them!
