EXCEPTIONAL CARE FOR ELDERLY CATS! My cat, Pablo, is a 17 year old with thyroid and heart disease, so it was very stressful for me when I moved to Raleigh and needed a new vet for medications and check ups. Words cannot express how glad I am that we have found Dr. Teresa and her team. The level of care and service far exceeds everything I have experienced with any other vet. Dr. Teresa always takes the time to explain my cats medical conditions and the treatment to me, which allows me to be more in-tune with my cat and recognize if his condition is changing and I need to contact her. I typically email with questions or concerns and always receive a response within a few hours. The education she gives me allows us to maintain my cats quality of life through affordable preventative care, instead of expensive and dangerous emergency care. At my old vet, I paid twice as much for office visits and blood work, but never really understood what was going on. Dr. Teresa doesnt take unnecessary risks with expensive procedures just to make a quick buck. Earlier this summer, I needed to board Pablo while I was away for a week. Dr. Teresa suggested it would be a good time to remove some infected teeth because she could watch him and keep him on fluids longer while he was boarding. Knowing the risk of putting a cat with heart disease under anesthesia, I was skeptical, but she assured me that the benefits outweighed the risks. She knew I was nervous, and went out of her way to call me a week before to talk it over and make sure I was comfortable with doing the procedure. On the day of the procedure, she called me right away to let me know how he was doing AND she said he only needed a cleaning and antibiotics for the infection. She could have gone ahead and removed the teeth and made twice as much money, but she didnt. Dr. Teresas beautiful animal hospital is equipped to give you answers immediately, so you can start treatment immediately. This past week I emailed her a video of my cat coughing and she told me to come in right away. She gave him x-rays and determined that his heart condition caused fluid to build up in his chest. She was able to extract a sample and analyze it in her lab. In less than an hour we knew what was going on, and what mediation he needed. (And the cost for *everything* was not much more than the cost for an office visit and blood work that I would have paid at my old vet!!!) Dr. Teresa and her staff are friendly and take the time to get to know their patients. I know my cat isnt going to live forever, but I know that she has already extended his life far beyond what I would have received at my old vet. While we were waiting for the results, she sat and talked with me about what we were possibly looking at in that moment - instead of leaving me in the waiting room upset and anxious. When she went back into her lab I was sitting in the waiting room with my cat in his carrier and her family came in. Her son immediately recognized my cat and said, "Hey, its Pablo!" when he saw us. THIS confirmed that my sweet, old, complicated cat is well loved and getting the very best when I leave him in their care. BONUS POINTS FOR CAT LOVERS: - super close to the belt line and downtown (I live near Glascock and Raleigh Blvd. and it takes 10 minutes to get there) - spacious and partitioned waiting room to avoid dogs - floor to ceiling picture window overlooking bird feeder in exam room - cat tower in the exam room - cat boarding room is quiet and separate from dog boarding area - the walls of the cat boarding cages have doors that can be opened, so if you have 2 cats, they can be together and not crammed into one cage. - she will call in prescriptions to a pharmacy, but its cheaper to get meds in the office.

LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about my recent experience at Raleigh Community Animal Hospital! We are 2 weeks into our puppy experience, and our pup (Luna) got a UTI. As a brand new puppy owner, I called with a million questions, and their front desk staff was sweet, welcoming, and accommodating to every question. They happily discussed the price for each service I was interested in (as compared to other vet hospitals who were clearly annoyed that I asked), and got Luna schedule for the same-day, even on a Saturday. From the moment we walked in the door, everyone treated us with such care and concern. Teresa Danford was the vet that saw me, and she did a fantastic job. She ran a urinary test that was very quick and inexpensive, and gave Luna the meds she needed to recover. I also was planning to get puppy shots at a local Petco clinic to save money, but Teresa explained the difference in the quality and duration of those types of shots (I had no idea), and gave me much more customized/quality vaccinations for Luna (along with a treat or two) for CHEAPER than I would have paid at the clinic! On top of all this, Teresa offered me training tips, in-depth explanations of preventative care options, and a detailed plan of Lunas medication timeline. She even did a hands-on tutorial to show me how to stop Lunas hand-biting impulses. All this—the exam, the urinary test, the shots, the take-home antibiotics, the preventative meds, and the training tips—for an *amazingly* affordable price. No upselling or hustling. Just quality care without breaking the bank. I dont think twice about making the half-hour drive from Durham when I get this type of care for my pup. We will not go anywhere else. They have won us for good!

Dr. Teresa and her staff are the best! I have taken my pets through the years to several different vets in the Raleigh/Wake Forest area. My pets always wanted to run the other way when it was time to go in for their visit. My two golden retrievers love to go to their vet visits at Raleigh Community Animal Hospital. They literally drag me in. I love going somewhere that my dogs feel at home and so do I. The hospital is very comfortable and clean. Everyone is so nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I ordered some medication online just recently and got a call from Phen. He explained that it would be cheaper for me to order the medication a different way. I appreciate that they are concerned about the financial side of things too. They make you feel like you are part of the family and not a number. Dr. Teresa takes the time to explain details to you without rushing in and out. I recently unexpectedly lost my 7 year old golden retriever, Tucker to Cancer. Dr Teresa and her staff were very compassionate and helpful during that life changing time. The daycare staff are great too. Ryan has worked with Trigger and Abby to get them socialized with the other dogs. My dogs and myself are truly happy here and I dont plan on taking them anywhere else! Thank you Dr Teresa and staff for everything you do for my fur babies.

I have a lot of pets and take their health very seriously. In the past, I found myself exploring different doctors opinions, because each one had a different set of knowledge and their own fixed experience on how to treat a situation. I came across Dr. Teresa when one of my cats had advanced kidney disease and I was seeking a 3rd opinion (Thats a story of its own). Like every issue one of my pets has, Dr. Teresa reviewed the options, so I could be informed of my choices, and make an educated decision. She had considerable more knowledge than the other two doctors combined and was up-to-date on available information. She looks at a disease/illness as it relates to my pet specifically, rather than having a fixed treatment plan that gets applied to any animal with the issue. Now that she has her own practice, me and my pets have followed her to RCAH. One of the extra perks about her having her own animal hospital is that in addition to her advanced dental training and expertise, she has added special dental x-ray equipment to the practice, making sure my pets are healthy and pain free, even in places I cant see.
