My husband and I love this place!!! The minute you walk in, you are greeted by one of the friendliest receptionists youll encounter anywhere. They create your first impression of this wonderful veterinary facility. They will do everything to answer your questions or schedule your appointments. Once put into an exam room, you will meet one of the techs who will evaluate your pet and create the chart so all is ready for the doctor. She too is friendly, answers any concerns and loves on your pet as if it is her own. You will then see Dr. Pierson or Dr. Lusty. You know, you really dont have to worry about which one is seeing the patients (pets) that day. They are both super. They will take all the time in the world with you and your pet, seeing to their care, answering your questions, and making sure you understand what to do to continue proper care when you leave the office. We think you will be very pleased with either of these doctors. All in all, if you live in the Davison area, you cant go wrong with Pierson Pet Hospital. I will say that in talking to friends and neighbors, you can find offices that are somewhat cheaper in office calls and vet care, but we feel we are paying for the best offered in the area. Oh, and if you have to board your pet, you wont find anyplace cleaner, or more friendlier kennel staff. We board our doxies several times a year. Davison is very fortunate to have several vet offices, and in our opinion, Pierson Pet Hospital is the best.

I thought this was a vet that you could trust--until my dog got sick and they didnt seem to care. I called about two weeks ago with some pretty severe symptoms--my dog was vomiting, wouldnt eat, was lethargic & shaking. At first, they told me just to wait it out. I stressed how worried I was and they said well, I could maybe bring him in. He immediately got sick and went in. Well, he looked okay, so they sent him home with some medicine. What?? He went in a few days later because he was still severely ill--again, they just changed the pills and sent him home. Finally, the next Monday (called the Wednesday before) they finally admit him for a night and run some tests. He was dehydrated and starving, but they never found the cause of his illness. He seemed a bit better so he went back home with more medicine. A week later, after some lethargy and eating issues, he is violently ill again and we call the vet--just NOW Dr. Pierson ponders "ooooh, maybe its --fairly well known disease--." A few minutes of research... the symptoms match up PERFECTLY and the dog is a breed similar to those susceptible. All this vet cares about is you spending money to keep bringing your dog in and in again, apparently, because my ailing, starving, and miserable dog was not important enough to do the proper tests and research. I do NOT recommend this vet anymore. I am shocked and saddened by what happened and incredibly worried about my dog.

I would like to tell you about Dr. Pierson and his staff. He is very personable and caring to all the "family members" he attends to, human and non-humans alike. I just recently NEEDED to put a loved one down. The staff first arranged for us to come in on the same day that I called with no questioning of our decision. When we arrived we were told that when we were ready, bring in our child with 4 legs and a fur coat in a room that was all set up. After my baby was prepped for the procedure, Dr. Pierson came into the room with his gentle, compassionate demeanor. He explained everything, even though I knew what to expect but my daughter who was with me did not. Once the procedure was done, he consoled us with words and confirmed that this was for the best because our family member was suffering. But the compassion and the kindness did not stop there, in the mail 2 weeks later was the nicest and most comforting words staring at me. First, with my other babies I NEEDED to put to rest, I NEVER received anything from the vets afterwards. Second, Dr. Pierson took the time to hand write a message inside. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Pierson for your veterinary needs and have in the past but now I even have more reasons.

Ive been taking my animals to Pierson Pet Hospital for over 10 years now. I have always had top of the line service. The quality of the service begins when you walk in the door. The staff behind the counter are very attentive and thoughtful. They try to get you checked in and out quickly and they make sure that all of your questions have been answered before you leave. The vet Assistants are kind, educated, and helpful. I recently had my dog in with a serious health issue. I thought that she might not make it through this. It took about 10 days of testing and medication before we started to see some improvement. During this time the Dr. Lusty was very caring and attentive to our needs. She called to give me up dates on test and to check on my dogs condition. The office has called since my dog has gotten better as well just to check on her to make sure that she is still doing well. So the staff at Pierson is very caring and attentive. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a place for their animals.

Dr Pierson and his staff are some of the best around,he has been my Vet for many, many years, there are a lot that are closer to me-he is about a 20ish minute drive,so of course there is a reason i drive there instead of looking for a new 1 closer, whether its on the phone or an office visit the friendliness and professionalism is top notch. And Heaven forbid that you ever have an emergency they will get you in and if they cant take care of it they will go out of their way to find a Vet that can-i just had to have emergency surgery on a tumor on my old girl, that they couldnt do, so they got me set up with a place that could. When the time comes for that final goodbye they are very accommodating to your wishes, and they make it as comfortable and as easy as possible for you-which is never an easy thing but they do an awesome job. So in case you havent guessed I love Dr.Pierson and his staff and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new vet.

When I read two of these reviews I was very upset. When we moved to the area, one of things we needed to do was to find a vet. We took our 2 dogs and cat over to Pierson and were very pleased. Everyone was more than helpful, kind and considerate. If there was a problem, we were told to bring in our pet-kids right away. We had to say good-by to our little Poodle Clouseau. Dr Pierson never ran more expensive tests or asked us to come in repeatedly like he was looking for more money. I know sometimes its a trial and error effort with our pet-kids since they cant really tell us. We also had to say good by to cat Sasha. X rays were taken and lab tests. Everything was done that could have been. The staff was awesome and compassionate. I would recommend this place to anyone.
