Pros: Open 7 days a week, caring doctors who are very communicative with owners, professional staff, clean facility, several exam rooms, large waiting area Cons: Exam rooms are not equipped to allow pets to remain with their humans for some types of treatment (drawing blood, inoculations, etc.), the website could use some updates – specifically, I’d like to see bios of the doctors and staff. Also, some of the site pages seem like templates. But I guess I’d rather have my vet focused on my pet rather than his website. My husband and I have been bringing our dogs to Parkview Pet Clinic since we moved to Los Angeles in December 2013. Prior to moving here, we were clients of Randolph Animal Hospital in Randolph, MA since 2003. The common denominator of these 2 clinics is Dr. DelVecchio. Over the years, under Dr. DelVecchio’s care, we have owned 4 dogs: 2 Boston Terriers, our Pug, Sophia, and the latest addition to our family, Olivia, our French Bulldog. We lost both of our Boston Terriers to tumors. The first back in Massachusetts developed a heart tumor and our second Boston developed a brain tumor just a few months ago and was put down in November 2016. During these losses, we felt confident in the care we were receiving from the veterinary teams on which Dr. DelVecchio resided. Most recently, as we were desperately trying to figure out why our Boston was so sick, the team of doctors at Parkview Pet Clinic laid out a plan to determine if the symptoms our Boston was displaying were from muscular pain, stomach pain or if there was a neurological issue. Over the course of a few weeks, our Boston was treated for one symptom at a time, but ultimately the doctors diagnosed the symptoms were neurological in nature and referred us to a specialist. An MRI confirmed the brain tumor, and sadly, we had to put him down. Soon after, we received a card of condolence from the veterinary team at Parkview Pet Clinic – simple gestures mean so much! Our 13 year old Pug outlived both her Boston brothers and is currently being treated by Dr. DelVecchio and his team at Parkview. She’s a trooper, but has had her share of issues over the years: ear infections, bladder infections, skin tumors, a broken wrist bone due to a hard landing - you name it! With the help of Dr. DelVecchio, and his senior care treatment, we intend to make the rest of her time with us a comfortable as possible. The newest addition to our family, is our rescued French Bulldog, who just had her first visit to Parkview Pet Clinic and was examined by Dr. DelVecchio. We don’t know much about her history, but Dr. DelVecchio determined that she had at least one litter of pups before being spade. Because she was spade later in life, he advised, we examine her for breast cancer routinely and showed us how to perform the examination. She’s also going to have her first teeth cleaning this week. Owning dogs is a huge responsibility and definitely not cheap. We’ve spent $1000s of dollars over the years on our pets. However, we’ve never felt that the treatment plans outlined for us by the team at Parkview Pet Clinic were unnecessary. We appreciate that we are provided with a low and high estimate of treatment and always know what to expect when it comes to the bill. We are confident in the team of doctors, techs and administrators at Parkview. They have treated us and our dogs with utmost respect and empathy.

On saturday my puppy of 6 weeks start acting weak ,not eating or drinking .called in for a inhouse vet and she gave her some IV to stabelize him and he did act better for couple of hours but all night didnt want to eat or drink. Waited until early morning to find a pet clinic to avoid emergency high cost. Called parkview a girl name Takar answered and she said they were booked after 9am but if i rush my puppy around 8:30 the doctor can look at the puppy and give me his opinion before he start getting busy with his appointments. I asked how much will cost that and she asked me if this would be my first time at their clinic, i said yes, and she said because of that it would be free as a first time client and then doctor can let me know any further chargers before doing anything. I said ok because my puppy was pail and didnt look good,. I grab my puppy and ran to the clinic, TAKAR herself took my puppy to the back room , then after couple minute she comes back with a bill in her hand ranging from 170 to 205 (with or without parvo test) and also included 60 doctor visit. I said but you were suppose to let me know before doing anything and also you told me first visit of new client was free. ,she said she though that was the case but the doctor ,who is Dr. KAPTAL DIDNT APPROVED THAT TO BE CREDITED. , because i was there before 9. I said but thats what you instructed me to do on the phone plus before my signature and authorization you already worked on my puppy. After puting me to the room waiting, i heard she was commenting about me to other girls and to the doctor that i would rather my puppy to die" (Realy?) and then she walks in the room and trying to lie and change what she told me on the phone to clear her name in front of the doctor and telling me to be quite and listen. . To make the story short. ,after all the tests, insalt from Takar and everything done and paying a bill of almost $400 ,which they made sure after the first procedure they did without my signer abd authorization, thmy puppy was just dehydrated. .. Bad bad experience, not only i didnt got free assessment from the doctor, they performed treatment without my authorization that put me in a position of doing more tests and tests plus getting insalted by a front desk receptionist. ..very unprofessional treating me and talking to me like a low lifer while i was asking for some honesty and not to be lied to by staff.

Anyone who has lost their "always-by-my-side-best-companion" knows how difficult it is...even more heart wrenching when you have to make the decision of when the right time to let your friend go has come. Through it all, we always felt our beloved Trucker was cared for at Parkview just the way youd want any member of your family to be cared for. Dr. Kaplan took all the time we needed to talk and explain his diagnosis. (We also met with Dr. DelVecchio and he was wonderful, too.) One very important gift in the last weeks was the kindness and gentle caring extended by EVERYONE at Parkview Pet Clinic...no matter who answered the phone. To each and every one of you, you didnt know us that well, you didnt know Trucker that well, but you treated him, my husband and myself in a way that lightens our hearts when we think of his passing. Thank you and know how much the work you do everyday and the kindness you extend matters. The beautiful sentiments in the card we received were so very touching and appreciated. P.S. Trucker had sired a litter of pups 6 years ago and they all came to Parkview at that time. We stopped going there because it had become very impersonal. Im so glad for the new staff and that we went back!!
