Her office visit fees are not cheap but she doesnt recommend unnecessary treatments either. We had to put our last dog, a pit bull mix to sleep. Our last vet was afraid of pitties so they muzzled him first and they couldnt get the needles in right. It was the most horrific experience. Months later, we rescued a pit bull puppy who hurt herself playing. That vet said she had hip dysplasia and we needed to pay $1500.00 for an FHO. Id had it. We had passed by the Family Vet for years but never thought about going there. But we read the reviews and took our puppy there. Dr . Tran has never been afraid to get on the floor with our dog. She said the surgery was not necessary unless it got worse as our dog got older. She just needed time to heal. Six years later our dog is fine with no surgery. Worth every penny. Keep in mind, they take a limited patient load so prospective clients need to be prepared to wait until they have openings. But that is also a plus because its not a cattle call. Personalized service.

You drive up and see the location. Its small, and doesnt look like much. Before you judge the book by its cover. Just enter! Your greeted by Elias who is so polite, energetic, and friendly your put at ease. We were amazed that our Blue Nose pitbull actually gets excited when she enters! Dr Tran our first visit over a year ago amazed us. She was so welcoming to our little girl (Dr Tran also owns a pitbull). She got on the floor with our girl. Sat there talking to her gave her few treats when GrayC our pit did as Dr Tran said. Dr helped us big time with GrayCs skin issue. Even told us we can purchase stuff from her. Or she recommended her own natural remedy we could purchase local. Saved us a ton and it worked right away. Dr Tran is a diamond in the rough of Vets out there. Over the years Dr. Tran has been there many times for special critical care. She is dedicated to her clients/patients and is very personable and professional. The practice deserves a five star rating but, since Dr. Tran is the only vet it becomes a little difficult to make a quick appointment when necessary. They are closed two days a week and she does surgeries on Friday thus appointments only on four days. However, if you can get in Family Vet is a jewel. Today, Friday, Dr. Tran will be able to make an exception and see Gabe/cat after her surgery schedule. Very much appreciated! Front desk attention is very important. That can make the difference in the experience. Elias is always so very attentive. Keeping waiting time to a minimum. Elias likes wild birds and watches.

There are two things I rely on in this world- AAA and Dr. Tran. She is the outstanding Vet you scour yelp and other review sites for. She is the honest mechanic you hope to find. We moved to the valley and still come down to her for the care of our dog. We love Dr. Tran (and Elias!). Well ran, reliable, honest, and truly reasonable fees for her services. Thank you Dr. Tran!!!!

Dr Tran saw my cats through their mature and elderly years. She only recommended what was necessary and helped me to make their senior years healthy and comfortable. She is a caring person who has a light touch with animals. I love her primary staff member, Elias too. Good folk all.

It is wonderful to have Dr. Tran and My Family Vet in our neighborhood, she is so gentle, insightful and kind. We would travel much longer distances to take Sid the Cat to see her.
