Most horrible, inhumane place to take care of your loveable pet! They only care about profit, not about saving animals. On July 2012, I took my dog there, she was in pain because one of her puppies got stuck and made it impossible to deliver the other 3 or 4 puppies inside her. They couldnt be sure how many. They said one thing and changed the diagnosis the next minute. First they told me I had to pay $2,300 dollars and I had to give them a $1000 downpayment and said that all the puppies died. Later they said they were still alive. The doctor there was putting a lot of pressure on me and my family by saying that she was not gonna make it and they not gonna do something to save her if we dont pay the all the deposit i offer to pay $800dllr and later the rest but they didnt accetp it. My puppy was my mothers who passed away 2 months earlier asking us to take good care of her pet. The clinic staff knew that because I told them how special my puppy was and I think that helped them to put more pressure on us to find the way to pay. That much money falling out of the sky like that is ridiculous. My dog was in pain, and if we dont pay $1000 right away the vets were willing to let her die. We begged them to let us take to a different pet hospital in Los Angeles, but they refused, making a lot of excuses. Finally we found a way to make the downpayment but people are sometimes not ready for this kind of situation, especially on a sunday! Later that night I received a call saying that my puppy was ok and that I have to pick her up at 8am the next morning with the rest of the money! We tried to explain that we need more time, banks only give $500.00 A DAY and dont open until 10am. This guy called Erik told me that "IT WAS SO SAD TO PUT IT TO SLEEP AFTER ALL THE MONEY WE PAID AND EVERYTHING WE HAVE DONE!" I can still hearing his sarcastic voice in my ear. So we decided not to give up on my puppy and went to the police station. We didnt even know if they can help or not! They helped, thank God. A Police Officer talked to this "pet doctor" and suddenly this guy became very polite. We ended up paying only $1300.00 total . They cant keep our love ones or or put them to sleep because people cant pay. That is hearthless and is a randsom! We didnt refuse to pay, we just needed more time. And these people are supposed to help and save animals. They only care about money!! HOPE MY STORY HELPS and dont let this clinic continue with this. Special thanks to officer Gaglione and officer Austin from L.A Police Department. God bless you guys and thanks for helping and doing your job.

This clinic is terrible. I took my puppy in because she got a plant in her ear. They wouldnt let me go back with him while he was being treated. They charged me $225 to remove a small foxtail, and said that it required sedation. My puppy is the calmest puppy and if I had been with him there would not have been any sedation required. The sedation made him very ill. I took him to the vet ( a different, legitimate vet) the following week as his ears were still sensitive. He had an ear infection because of what they did at the emergency clinic. Also, regarding payment, I did not have the right payment method with me at the time and was told to call and pay over the phone later. I called several times but was told that there was no one there to take my payment. THEN I got a letter from a collection agency regarding the payment! Also, by the way, while I was waiting in the waiting room for my dog to be treated, there were a couple disturbing things that happened. One, there was a very seriously injured dog that was literally bleeding all over the floor and the staff at the vet clinic asked the owner if the dog was "seriously injured"? And if he could "take him somewhere else" as maybe it was not an emergency. This was so sad, as there was literally blood all over the floor and the dog was very obviously in pain. Also, out of the three other people that came in with their pets, ALL THREE left without them, as in , they were put to sleep. This clinic is scary, unethical, and does more harm than good for your animal.

I took my cat to this hospital for overnight care as she had been at my regular vet all day with difficulty breathing. Admittedly, I was concerned about the cost since I had just spent a significant amount of money for tests and treatment at my vet. However, the clinic was incredibly affordable (about $100 for the night) and could not have been nicer upon taking her in. The vet spent more time with me than my normal vet explaining what could possibly be causing my cat to have breathing problems and even took a look at some older bloodwork to give further commentary. They encouraged me to call and check on her before going to bed (which I did and actually spoke to the doctor himself about how she was doing), and the staff member that helped me when I picked her up this morning was very informative about how she did over the course of the night. All in all, it was a very positive experience in a time when I was dealing with some difficult health issues for my poor little kitty. Highly recommended for overnight, supportive care.

This is the kind of place you hope you never have to go back to even when you get 5 star service. That said I would go out of my way to avoid this place in the event I need dog ER services again. For starters the lobby was filthy. There was pee all over the floor with boo attempt to clean it in the hour that we were there. The vet had pretty much the worst bedsude manner Ive seen. He was a short guy with black hair, didnt catch his name, Im not sure he even told us. Zero effort to greet our dog or put her at ease. He did a pretty thorough exam, but didnt seem to listen to us at all. He might be a decent vet, but should probably be kept away from the people that come in with their pets. I will seek out another pet ER if I ever need one.

I took my 9 year old bulldog to this clinic with some kind of allergic reaction that was causing hives and labored breathing, and they were professional and very capable. It was 12:30AM and they greeted me at the door and had us in a room within seconds. The staff worked quickly and within minutes my dog was breathing better. It was a huge relief. I would recommend this clinic to everyone.I especially am thankful for the woman named Zee who greeted me and streamlined the whole visit. Dr Hunter was also excellent. I hope I never have to go to a vet in the middle of the night again, but if I do, I know I can count on Eagle Rock Emergency Pet Clinic.
