My wife had surgery in January of 2016. Thankfully, the surgery went well, however, it seems that the "hospital" leaves much to be desired. Rather than waiting in an assigned area, I waited in the lobby on the first floor. That is where I saw my wife prior to surgery and where I saw her when she was ready to go home. It seems as if they call themselves the "CORE Specialty Hospital, the only affiliation they have with the CORE are doctors. The CORE docs are great! That said I did not see the doctor before or after the procedure..which is based upon my experience, somewhat strange. That said, the only two people I met t the hospital was a security guard and somebody from the Business Office. The Business Office representative said that unless we paid $461 immediately, the surgery cannot take place. Again, thinking that this hospital was a CORE facility, I thought that the $400 we paid at the CORE a few days ago, was our deductible for the hospital. In February my wife had to see another doctor. Shortly thereafter, we received his bill, which would have put us well over our deducible. It did not. Seems as if the "hospitals" bookkeeping staff did not file a claim for almost six-months. As a result, the hospital now owes us $461. We tried calling the CORE to see if they could assist us. The CORE advised that they had no affiliation with this hospital. Recently I was near the hospital, so I thought I would drop by the business office, the time was 11:00 a.m. All the doors were locked for all outward appearances it looked deserted.

The nursing staff was very nice, however, it seemed like nobody knew what they were doing. Each time a nurse would come in, she (they were all female) would ask questions and state to me, "Oh, that should have already been done". Basically stating that the previous nurse didnt do what they should have. One nurse told me I needed to get up and walk around the halls and she would come get me later, she never came.... One nurse left me in the bathroom and said she would be right outside to help me back to my bed. She disappeared and I ended up walking back myself. The doctor asked if I was given lozenges for my sore throat, I told him the nurses never asked me if I needed any so I suffered for a while. The doctor also asked how many times I was taken out for a walk, again, none of the nurses took me. I can go on but I did not feel in good hands while I was there. To end it all, the doctor did not put the quantity on my pain pills so when we took them to Walgreens they could not fill them because no quantity was on them. I had to call the Core Institute twice as it had now been several hours later and Walgreens still had not heard. The 2nd call I was told something different than my first call, I was told that I need to "call the doctor who did the surgery, not the doctor who released me and wrote the actual RX scrips". Meantime, I am in major pain. Overall, I will personally never go there again. I hope I dont need too! Staff was friendly but clueless and my life depended on them. I would not trust them again.

I was there for total knee replacement in August 2016. My experience was great. Nurses came to walk me before lunch, late afternoon and in the middle of the night, but only if I was up for the bathroom and if I wanted to walk that late at night. The food was the best, restaurant quality (or better). Rooms are a nice size, clean, have a tv, and private. The only problem I had was with the compression stockings leaving a rash and bruise at top of my surgical leg. The doctor looked at it and agreed the stocking should be shorter length, so we cut it. I am going back for my other knee in February 2017 and am totally at ease with it this time around.

My husband had surgery here and after reading all these reviews before his surgery we were very concerned about going there. HOWEVER, the bad reviews are all BS!!!! This was one of the best experiences in a hospital we have ever encountered. All of the staff from the doctor all the way down to the physical therapist was very professional. They truly cared about my husbands well being and care. They all went above and beyond for him. Not to mention my husband said they had restaurant quality food. We would highly recommend this hospital to everyone needing their services.

They do not answer their phone and the message is very unprofessional. There is no operator or recorded message. Very frustrating and disappointing for such a well known group.
