Dr. Schwartz is the most awesome doctor I have ever met. I am a Keratoconus patient and it is extremely hard for me to get the right prescription. Glassesand regular lenses dont work. Only special-fit lenses can do the job. I had previously been to 5 other doctors, all with mixed results (neither of them prescribed the right prescription) I had also tried multiple kinds of lenses...again none worked. One day a friend of the family recommended Dr. Schwartz and I went to him. He knew exactly what I needed, we went through 2 sessions of custom-fitted lenses and after the 2nd try I received the lenses that saved me from eye surgery! I finally have 20/20 vision. On top of that, his staff made sure to call my insurance and have them approve the special lenses because of my medical condition with 100% coverage from the insurance company(I guess it depends on your insurance, Dr. Schwartzs staff makes sure contact them on your behalf). I have moved out of Maryland now. I live in California but I am still using Dr. Schwartz as my main Vision Dr. I fly over to the east coast 1-2 times a year to visit family and I go for a checkup at Dr. Schwartz. Also, his staff and he personally calls me in order to make sure everything is going ok. If I need anything I call them and they will ship it over.

I dont live or work in Mt. Airy, heard great things about its Medical Eye Center, wasnt happy with my current Baltimore eye doctor, and needed new glasses, so I scheduled an appointment. The Center was beautiful, comfortable, and well equipped, and its staff were very friendly, professional and efficient. I waited less than 5 minutes to be seen by Dr. Schwartz, who was extremely personable, took extra time to explain and show me details on his computer about a very unusual eye condition that I possess, listened carefully to my concerns, and offered effective solutions and recommendations. He was much more helpful than the Baltimore cornea specialist, who treats my rare condition. I purchased prescription bi-focal sunglasses and computer bi-focal glasses, which were ordered and arrived quickly. I also purchased an eye mask and eye drops to treat my condition. The Centers staff were very knowledgeable about the hundreds of different styles and lense options and accurately measured, fitted, and computed costs after accepting my vision insurance. It was truly a very pleasant experience, and I look forward to returning in the future

My experience with this center has been nothing but excellent, a routine eye exam led to the discovery a retina hole that had not been discovered by any other eye doctor. The specialist that treated it was quite surprised that it was ever discover because it was almost invisible. Next up is the excellent life changing recommendation and treatment given to us by Dr Schwartz regarding my daughters ever deterioration myopia.. The eye doctor she had been seeing since infant just kept prescribing new glasses as her myopia got worse year after year. She got treatment and care for Ortho-K from Mt Airy Medical eye center and she went from wearing -5 pair of glasses to NOT wearing glasses at all!! The staff are very courteous and take their time to make sure you are getting the best treatment and care, no rush service. I have certainly recommended this center to everyone I know. Do yourself a favor if you need eye care.. go there you wont regret you did.

I got glasses five years ago and hated wearing them. They hurt my eyes and gave me headaches. If only I knew about Dr Schwartz then, he made my day. He was patient, passionate, compassionate and an honest expert; he took the time to make sure I got the right prescription, and even the right frames. The staff is kind and experienced, which is beyond comparison to the local competition. With Dr. Schwartzs help I found out I was originally given the wrong type of lenses, and the wrong prescription. I am dependent on my vision being a certain standard to make a living, Dr. Schwartz has kept me employed: I can think of no greater compliment.

The professionals here will take care of you like family. They are top notch, I wouldnt trust my eyes with anyone else. I needed contacts quick and they said they could beat 1800 contacts. They said it would be a few days until they would come in. They took it upon themselves to ask if I needed a set now and gave me a brand new set of trial lenses. Dr. Boaz came on the phone and kindly said he would be able to give me a set from there trail lens stock to hold me over until my lenses came in. You just dont get costumer service like this any more. I will be a lifetime patient with Dr Swartz. THANK YOU! lens stock.

The new facility is very open and pleasant. The staff was courteous and efficient. Doctor Schwartz is thoughtful and clearly is very skilled and exceptionally well trained in the science and technologies concerning the eye. I received the best contact lens fitting I have had in 30 years and the Doctor found and set me on to recovery for a serious vision problem. I was completely satisfied and pleased with my experience at Mount Airy Medical Eye Center.
