Ive been meaning to write this review for a while, but life got in the way. I dont want anyone else being deceived by this business. I moved to Ann Arbor as an undergraduate student and I was looking for a new dentist. With my previous dentist (who is an alumnus of the University of Michigan Dentistry school), I had been up to day on all my check ups, yearly cleanings, ect. When I went to James Olsens office, I expected a regular check up and cleaning, but that is hardly what I left with. The receptionist was nice and the office was clean. I had my teeth cleaned and things started to get interesting. Fist I was visited by Joanne Wagner. She asked me on two separate occasions if I was a "soda drinker." I answered no twice and that I have a soda once every 8 weeks or so. She said OK and walked out. Then I received my X-rays and James Olsen walked in and asked if I was a soda drinker. Again, I answered no. I felt as if they were trying to convince me of something I knew not to be true. When James Olsen took out my X-rays he tried to tell me that I had almost 10 cavities! It was going to cost me (my insurance) thousands of dollars. I could not believe it; 10 cavities between one yearly check up? I decided to get a second opinion, who informed me that I had absolutely no cavities. At first, I was in shock. Then, I was outraged. Looking back, I know why they did it. I have good insurance and they were looking for an easy payout. Nevertheless, I am amazed that these individuals are still in business. This is one of the most deceitful businesses that I have ever encountered. Please, spend your money and time elsewhere!

Dr. Olsen has been my Dentist since 1999. I tried two other Dentists in my area and couldnt find one that I trusted until I met Dr. Olsen. Even though I moved 45 minutes away, I would not change. The office is very upscale and the staff always treats you with the utmost professional courtesy. Dr. Olsen is a very personable person and always comes in to say Hi and shake my hand, even when I am there just for a cleaning. He remembers me and always as how everyone is doing in my family. I never feel like they are trying to push procedures on me or sell me unnecessary things. My wife started going there about 2003 and she is as happy as ever. You will not find a better office.

Dr. Olsen and staff are amazing! As a testament to their care and devotion to providing excellent dental care and customer service, I had moved out Downriver and then to Dearborn Heights for several years, but still made the trek back to the Saline/AA area to see Dr. Olsen and Co. It is incredibly obvious that Dr. Olsen does not just sweep in, shove his hands in your mouth and then move on to the next patient. EVERY time I am in, he shakes my hand asks how I and my family are doing and then provides excellent dental care before politely excusing himself to attend to the next patient.

The office staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, even from the time I scheduled the appointment!. They walk you through everything from co-pays to treatment and actively address any concerns. I would definitely recommend visiting Dr. Olsen and his team!

I got Invisalign through Dr Olsen and it was a great experience! I only had to wear the trays for about 4 1/2 months so it was a very quick process. It was not painful and most of the time I forgot that they were on my teeth. My insurance covered part of the cost and Dr. Olsen gave me a discount for paying up front so it was not very expensive either. Overall, I am very happy with the way my teeth look and the simplicity of the whole process!

In 9 months, my teeth are completely straight and I could not be happier! Nobody ever knew that I was wearing the retainers and the whole process was virtually pain free.
