I am a young professional and was a patient of Dr. Earnest for several years while living in Brighton. I even reccomened family members, who have had extensive dental work done through his practice. I relocated to Chicago for a few years for work and just recently moved back. While out for a Sunday stroll with my dog, Dr. Earnest and his wife drove past me and circled the subdivision to abruptly stop me on my walk. Then proceeded to harass me about walking my dog in "their" condo complex, which is across the street from where I recently moved. I stated that I was a responsible dog owner and had the necessary bags to pick up any pet waste. I was then rudely informed that I couldnt pick up after dog urine on grass or trees and was not allowed to walk my dog there. I apologized for any confusion and stated that many people walk their pets here and I was unaware of any signage stating no walking of dogs allowed (there is none). Needless to say, I will NOT be taking my business back to Dr. Earnest, nor will my family members. When you live and own a business in the same area this is no way to treat neighbors or members of your community.

Great for someone who is terrified of the dentist! I chose him because of location and reviews. I went for my initial appointment last week for a cleaning. They were extremely friendly and very gentle. Of course I need a filling and knew that even before I made my appointment. Dr Earnest was very attentive to the fact that I was terrified of needles. He numbed my mouth with a solution before giving me the numbing shots. When it came time to give me the numbing shot, he started telling me storys about fishing, and distracted me from the fact that I was having this procedure done... The entire time he was working on my teeth he continued with his outdoor storys about his family and children. He made what is normally a very anxiety ridden, terrible, nauseating experience a very tolerable one. I appreciate the care and time he takes with his patients and the all around great attitude the entire staff has. LOVE THIS DENTIST!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw the bad review and dont even know if its true. What I "do know", is Dr. Earnest has many years dental experience. Hes a very competent dentist and cares about the care of his patients. He makes no attempt to solicit any unnecessary work. He only does work you "need" done or work you request done. My opinion is he should be judged on the quality of the work he does and the care you receive as a patient. As far as personality though, I have found him friendly and pleasant.

Hygienists are great but billing is horrible and nasty. Even though they are in network and are supposed to be a 100% covered they still charge an extra $25 to $27 extra per person. Will never go there again. In fact the "office manager" stated that she prefers we didnt.
