I went to Wellstar 1.5 weeks ago because my 7 yr old daughter was running a temp of 103.7 that wasnt breaking fast enough with Motrin or Tylenol after alternating them so I took her in to the emergency room at wellstar Cobb county to be seen and I informed them that she was talking out of her head and lathargy and high fever and I needed help! After waiting for 2 plus hours we were not seen nor none even came to register us as far as weve gotten was for intake staff was to get my daughters name and give her a bracket at check in I was pissed off and left my daughter was on verge of a seizure or even death and I didnt even know it I took my daughter home waiting for few more hours as we waited for cvs minute clinic in Smyrna to open. We then went to minute clinic and there a nurse practitioner let her jump the line while she checked her temp which was 103.9 she then said this child doesnt look right she asked if I went to the hospital and I told her that the hospital has horrible wait time and customer service this is a child for Christ sakes! Anyhow she tested my daughter for strep as my daughter looked lifeless then she checked her for flu and she tested positive for h1n1 swine flu and my child could of died! After her giving her prescription we immediately gave her some along with tried to get her to drink pedialite for she was also dehydrated mind you the hospital staff at wellstar Cobb was advised of that as well something needs to be done l about wellstar we just moved here to Ga for my husband being in the army and I tell you what with staff along with waiting like that I told my husband I wouldnt advise anyone to fight for The staff at wellstar Cobb county horrible something needs to be done before someone files a lawsuit! This is ridiculous and unacceptable!

My mom came in to the ER on Friday morning due to having really bad chest pains. They ended up admitting her to monitor her. They put her in a short stay room that was the size of a closet. After about 2 hours of us being in there, the doctor came in and wanted to order some test to make sure things were okay and then possibly do a heart cath Monday. Well, another 2 hours, the tech comes in to tell us that they are taking my mom to CCU?? I asked why and nobody could give us an answer. Not one person. Once we got upstairs, I asked them why we were here and her exact words were..."I was just asking the same thing". So my mom had to sit here all weekend to have a heart cath done today when there was nothing critical about her. Everything is fine and we have discharge papers waiting to go home, her nurse is nowhere to be found. Anytime you ask another nurse a question they act like you are asking them for their kidney. This place is a joke. I will never be back nor would I ever recommend anyone coming here. Currently still sitting here when we were told we were going home 2 hours ago.

I unfortunately had to come back to this hospital and after some very peculiar behavior I will be having my records transferred. I refused certain testing upon walking in the door (my right as a patient of sound mind and body). Instead of them honoring my request, or suggesting alternatives, they went ahead and did the test anyway. After I told 7 different people that I didnt want it. I was told after the fact that its "Cobb Policy" regardless of patient concern. After having the Charge RN come upon my discharge and tell me the test hadnt been done, per my request. And now Im expected to pay $200 for something I never ever wanted? Why was I not given the option to forgo treatment altogether if your policy says I cant "refuse a test" based on another? Wouldnt you want the same level of respect if the roles were reversed? No Cobb. You will not catch me in this trap ever again.

I dont know maybe I got lucky but this hospital is the best when it comes with patient services . You dont have to wait long for help to use the bathroom . You dont have to wait long for pain medication that you request . The doctors , charge nurses, assistant nurse mangers and cnas are all so kind and treat you well. I feel so happy everyday I wake up here because I know everyone from above will brighten my day . I believe this hospital is better than Kennestone and I might come here to have my second child in the future . I had my daughter who is 7 months now at Kennestone who are great sometimes but I have a better vibe with this hospital . If I knew , I wouldve been came here . Thank you to everyone who has made my stay very comfortable , I never get that any where else !!

I went here to get treated for high sugar the lady A.A PA that checked me asked me if I had a job and if I had any money, Im I know this has to be paid for but to ask me about this while Im in critical condition is bad. So after asking me she left I say for hours and then some in experienced guys came to take my blood, scarred me bad because the needle was hanging idle in my arm while they wiggle it aid to get a vein for blood After that I say more hours. Finally the lady came back to just give me a piece of paper to go to some where else, Im thinking its a prescription for my insulin or pills, Come to find out it was to go to the public clinic This thing how they sent me out still with high blood sugar I would not recommend this place if you want to live

This was the worst hospital! One ER visit cost over $9000, mostly because instead of LISTENING to my chief complaint, the ran every test in the world, and still never told me ANYTHING, The staff seems to play around, chatting and laughing, which is very irritating if youre laying scared on the other side of the curtain. They admitted me for "overnight observation" when I really could and should have been released. I sat in my room the next morning, well past 9 am, and had to ask about breakfast. Then I was given a menu to order from. Nurses were very slow to respond once I was on a floor/ward. They are definitely a PROFIT CENTER foremost, and somewhere way down the line, a health care facility.

Unfortunately I had to go to this hospital because it was the closest. It was by far the worst experience I have ever had with any hospital. If Suzanne Burden is assigned to be your nurse, please run far far away and go to the next closest hospital. She is rude, unprofessional, rough, insensitive, and does not know how to treat patients. She argued with me and got mad and ripped my IV out of my arm. If you care about your life please ask for another nurse or just flat out leave because after dealing with her, I went home feeling worst than I was when I went in. I wish there was an option to give 0 stars.
